The food Menu is quite small and is typical carnival food but can get the job done if you're in a pinch to eat. The local vibe is definitely here. Many partons are from around the historical Zephyrhills area. Long time locals growing up around here in particular. While there's a lack of out-of-market sports packages NASCAR fans can rejoice this is a watch party bar. Sadly, even though I moved out of Zephyrhills yet it's a hole in the wall spot if living in the many new sub developments popping up around town.

The fries were actually pretty good, but the fish was mediocre. The batter slid right off the fish as soon as I lifted it from the container--almost like it didn't have time to rest or was pulled out of the fryer too soon. I got lemon pepper wings, fries, and what was supposed to be their version of bang bang shrimp. Sadly, everything was awful. The chicken looked old and had a dark color, strange smell, and an off taste--like it hadn't been cooked fresh. My son, who liked the fries the first time, refused to eat them this time, which should've been a red flag. The shrimp was drenched in a mystery sauce that had nothing to do with real bang bang shrimp, and it reeked of old grease. Everything had this stale, greasy odor, like the fryer oil hadn't been changed in way too long. I even took photos of the food before touching it--and it looked as bad as it tasted. At this point, I'd never order from here again. Honestly, it felt like a health inspection is overdue. If you care about food quality, freshness, or flavor--skip this place. They seriously need to shut it down and start fresh with a whole new kitchen team.

Customer service was decent, but one issue is that at times the bar stand is unattended even when not busy and there is no way to alert staff that you're there. However, the staff were polite and courteous. There are several arcade cabinets of different genres, pool tables, and a ping pong table. The entertainment options are vast and varied, making it difficult to find yourself bored during your stay. If I had to suggest one thing, it would be placing some device that allows you to alert staff that you're there, such as a bell. Another suggestion would be to add a smart fridge vending machines that allow you visitors access to non-alcoholic beverages such as water, soda, or juice. This would be especially convenient for visitors like me who're not interested in alcohol and want a quick grab and go beverage. The Dogpound Sports bar fulfills its goals well, providing a comfortable space that serves as a great rest spot and entertainment center and is a great break spot for anyone coming from intense exercise or trying to escape Florida's heat like I was.

The inside has the typical atmosphere of a local dive bar but it is also clean. The patrons were friendly & we also met the owner, Ginny the 1st time & Rye the bartender the next day who were both very pleasant. There is a basketball court out back to shoot some hoops as well as some corn hole boards...we shot hoops! My wife and girlfriend drank vodka-cran & sodas while me & my buddy drank some cold pbr's. For food we ordered some hot wings which were ok & could have been much better if they were just cooked a bit more...easy fix. We also ordered some redneck nachos that were very tasty! At the bar they have a half gallon glass water filled container with a shot glass at the bottom.The metal cover has a slot in the top to drop a quarter through & hopefully get the quarter in the shot glass ...I went 3 of 4! Free drink for getting the quarter in the shot glass. Finally I give a solid 3-1/2 stars and would notch it up to 4-1/2 stars with some TLC attention to the outside venue area.
