I recently spent two weeks in Lakeland for work, the staff at linksters made me feel like a regular right away. The staff is very attentive, funny, Great place to hang out! Julie, Haley, Kara, becca, Rue, and dale are amazing and all the other bartenders! All great. Good drink specials! Great place to catch a game. The only thing I would suggest is DO NOT ask Julie for a Spicey pickled sausage from their snacks! You will not get one! I only say that because it became a on going joke. Cute place. This is a favorite of my friend's. We had a drink and sat outside. You have to get your drinks inside though. I came from Michigan where you can no longer smoke inside of places, so it was weird to see people smoking in the bar. Beer on tap was $3.25. Red Bull was $3.50. Love watching NFL games here. Julie is an amazing bartender that takes great care of you. They also have decent dood on Sunday that varies since actual people bring in. Food varies from pastas to sandwich. Had a great pulled pork sandwich with beans and coleslaw. Dogs are alliwed on patio just have to be at your feet not roaming around. Nighttime is a younger college crowd. There are 2 dartboards and a jukebox. Live it during the day especially when Julie works. read more

Can't say much about this place, but it was a stop in the small nightlife available in Lakeland. Apparently smoking indoors is allowed in Downtown Lakeland bars, so it's safe to say I was miserable. The service wasn't all there either, I forgot out servers name. I didn't see much food around, and this bar was full of locals, so I decided to stay safe and have a bottled beer. Maybe I came on a bad night of the week, but I don't see myself being too curious about the nightlife in Lakeland again. read more

So I'm wondering around Lakeland on my day off. I'm down from PA and just looking to Kill time. I've been using yelp to find places to go. Good lord if I listened to the people that review these places I'd never leave home. Service here is good. Drinks are good. Nice place. Bunch of tvs. Nice bar. Don't let people complaining about not being able to wear sleeveless shirts scare ya off. Place is a golf theme but it's pretty welcoming to everyone. Fun little spot in downtown Lakeland. Not that many draft selections for a Tap Room, but the staff was friendly. The bartender even recommended we send a text to get a code for BOGO drinks to save us some money. There are electronic dart boards in the back and some outside eating. The bar does allow smoking, so that may be a turn off for some people. I'll probably stop back in to kill some time with darts and a brew. read more

Those who may have read some of my other reviews from downtown Lakeland might know that I was there with group of 40 friends. When we contacted Linksters and arranged to stop by they were one of the easiest bars to work with as far as accommodating us. When I first visited for a moment it felt like I was walking into a saloon and stepping up to the bar, then there were the TVs and the Jaeger machine and I woke up. Great place to stop for an adult beverage, friendly staff and a value menu :) read more

I completely understand that we all have our off days however the ID checker/door guy Rob was extremely rude, which may understatement. Working in normal street clothes I walked by and with a condescending attitude he directed me back. Asked if I knew an individual and replied "I got you." One thing about Florida bars is the smoke. I understand that if you don't have a percentage of your revenue from food smoking is allowed. For us the saving grace was that it has a small outside patio with 4 tables and two TVs, perfect to watch some March Madness basketball. They changed the TV to what we wanted to watch and Julie had perfect timing when it came to refilling our orders. Since the food menu was limited we had some bar mix and beers. They had a pretty good mixtures of beers to choose from and the bar mix was good. The placement of the patio made crowd watching very entertaining. I was here last night and started a tab and during that time one of the waitresses decide to take the opportunity to pay a personal expense before I even paid my tab. I don't use this card often and that was the only time I took it out that day and she also looked suspicious. I unfortunately didn't catch her name but beware. Found this place when looking to grab a drink with my parents. First impression was of people inside smoking and we were hesitant to enter. The bartender was very kind and put on the game that we wanted to watch. Drinks were cheap and the people were nice. It was a good experience and I am glad we decided to stay. If you can stand the smoking this is a good place to watch a game and grab a drink. read more

Good selection of beers. Well stocked bar. Prompt service. Just beware this is strictly a bar, no food except a couple of small bags of potato chips. This was my first visit, and I stopped in thinking I could grab both a drink & a bite to eat . I didn't really get a chance to check the place out thoroughly as this time I only had a pint and left to search for food. It's seems to primarily be more of a sports bar as there is a row of flat panel TVs, mounted end to end above the bar. If you're going to watch TV, recommend seating at the table along the wall across from the bar. If seated at the bar, the TVs are mounted to high and you will develop neck pain trying to watch TV (not their fault, as it's the only place they could mount them due to bar configuration) . There's both indoor & outdoor seating. I didn't see any table service except when occasionally one of the bartenders would cruise the room, checking on tables. Maybe on a busy night there's a cocktail server. For Guinness fans, its served in typical straight-sided pint glasses. Not a big deal and at least the glass was clean with very little detergent residue. I'll be back here and hopefully I'll be able to give it a higher rating than just 3 stars (which is incidentally isn't a bad rating, it's an 'A-OK' rating). I could see myself becoming a fan (4-stars) - time will tell. read more

Linksters - nice bar with a little seating outside. This is a smoking bar so if you are used to non-smoking here is your warning. They have lots of drinks to pick from and on-tap. The waitress was attentive and really listened to what we wanted, even recommended a few different drink she thought we would enjoy and we did! We even took a six pack back to our hotel and hope we can find the organic chocolate stout where we live. read more
