This is a pretty cool place. They have teas, milk drinks, coffee, smoothies, slushes as well as sandwiches. I had the mango/peach smoothie with green apple gummies. It was pretty good. I also had the veggie egg rolls which were ok but I would have liked a little more flavor to them. I added an order of fries which were nice and crispy. The other menu items looked pretty good and I'll probably come back and try something else. read more

This place is very close to our house. It does the job when I crave for avocado smoothie but too lazy to drive far. I'd leave 0 stars if I could. I walked in after getting my eyebrows done at the salon next door. I asked for a Menu and the lady behind the counter didn't have the decency to hand me one, she just pointed at them. I ordered a sandwich and their Mai fries. I waited 15mins for my food, which is fine. When it was ready she said that next time I needed to call and place an order instead of walking in. I said ok and left. Got home and tasted the food, it was disgusting! The chicken in my sandwich was super salty and the bread was stale. The fries were not worth the $7. Never going back! I've been here twice. My first experience was great, a friendly young man took my order, which was a Thai green milk tea, half sweetened. He made it to perfection. All was good. Second time, I came with my husband, and I ordered the same drink, the same way, he ordered a cafe su da, a bahn mi, and an order of Mai's fries. Drinks came out first- and my drink was wayyyyy sweet. I know that it wasn't half sweet as I ordered, because I always order my drinks at boba houses this way. I didn't want to complain, because they were a little busy, but after a few more sips- I asked the lady at the front (maybe the owner?) if she'd remembered to make it half sweet. She said that the green tea was really strong and she didn't think I'd like it that way? Uhmmmm.... Then, she offered to add more tea... instead of offering to remake it.... uhmmm... I'm a nice person so I said that was fine. And it helped somewhat, but it was still sweeter than I liked. Bahn mi came out second. And fries came out when he was almost finished with his sandwich. My husband said his coffee was "alright" as well as the bahn mi. The Mai's fries were just ok. I wouldn't order again. Before we finished eating, the girl asked me if my tea was good now. I saw this place on the way home from a party and decided to check this place out. I've been to many different teahouse for drinks never really snack because they always have the same snack. I love this place because they actually have good sandwiches. They have different bite size snacks that other teahouse doesn't. The portion of the snacks is huge! Worth the price you're going to pay for. The drinks was good and they have some new drinks that I haven't seen either. My boyfriend like their green tea Thai tea. The girl that took our order she was very nice and friendly, even though the guy in front of us was being annoying but she still have a smile on her face. I love coming here! It's right up the road from me. The owner is always so nice and welcoming . And she always has the best music playing in there! Lol! I come here every other day and get the matcha milk cream tea and man is it good! I decided to take a break from energy drinks and coffee and this matcha cream tea is a great sub! I have mixed feelings about this place so the ratings is pretty much based on the food/drinks. I was happy that we were getting a teahouse nearby but I didn't want to go in expecting too much. My friend previously had told me he wasn't a fan but only had a drink there so I never took the time out to try out. Today my other friend suggested this place and said the drinks were kinda meh but the food was pretty good so I decided to go. I tried their mango green tea, ranch chicken which was suggested by the guy taking my order, and Mai's fries. They have a small menu since they're just opening but I was kinda looking for the standard jasmine green tea by itself but they only had fruit teas (black/green). I thought about it and maybe it's more fitting for the customers around the area and even in general, not too many of my friends like the strong tea taste I look for in my drinks. I also tried my friend's coffee slushie of some sort, but I was indifferent about it as well. The tapioca consistency was a bit on the mushier side for me and I like it a little more chewy. I would be willing to come back and give it another go after some time to see if that has changed. The food was pretty good though! I ordered the ranch chicken with medium spice but I probably could have ordered more spice because it wasn't spicy at all. The ranch seasoning is very light but I do enjoy that it's freshly made (came out super hot). It's like their version of popcorn chicken except the order appears a bit smaller (covers the surface of a small to-go box and a bit more) but because the chicken is bigger, it can be more filling than it looks. The egg was made perfectly for the fries (I ordered an egg on mine). I should have specified egg cooked over hard instead of all the way loll, that was my bad but I ate all the egg white. The fries were pretty big and the meat is alrightt...they do put some kimchi though unlike some places that cheap out on it. Not my favorite batch of fries but still pretty good. Just wish that their food can be on some plates of some sort, but maybe they're working on that! However, this place does stand out for the customer service. All of their workers are so pleasant, especially the guy taking our orders. He was super helpful and offered out a stamp card without either of us asking about if there was anything of the sort. Their friendliness definitely won me over to come back (even if it's just to try more of their food if I don't end up liking my next drink too much). It reminds me of a smaller Kim's teahouse since it's a little more pricier than the Bellaire tapioca places and a bit more modern? Not sure how to describe it. But overall, it's okay and I would come back occasionally but it hasn't completely won me over even though it's soo much closer than any other boba place currently. read more

We ordered five drinks, all with tapioca and it took a little under thirty minutes to receive all of them- understandable since they just opened! Overall, drinks are good! We tried the blueberry banana smoothie, almond milk tea, strawberry banana smoothie, and regular milk tea. Tapioca is not as chewy as we would like, but taste is overall, pretty good! We would recommend to people who live nearby. Glad there is finally a tapioca place close by to us! Location is extremely convenient and close to the suburbs. Used to drive 20 min for tapioca and now it's about a 5 min drive from my neighborhood. Price is fair for food and drinks compared to any other tea house but the quality easily beats any other teahouse I've been to lately Extremely clean and par levels on napkins, straws, condiments, and toiletries are on point. LOVE MAI'S! I visit probably three times a week with my daughter. Lavender milk tea is off the hook, that was the first drink I ever tried per Mai's recommendation and did not disappoint. This review is based only on my experience with the drinks. Their smoothies are $3.75 and their milk teas are $4.00. With a milk tea's price that high, you would expect similar quality of drinks as other tea houses in bellaire, however their drinks were a really big disappointment. I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with less ice and a Mocha Smoothie. The Jasmine Milk Tea came with no ice and didn't taste anything like it's name at all. The tea tasted more like a really bad Rose Milk Tea, and like another reviewer said, "it had a strange aftertaste". I couldn't finish it and only drank 1/5 of it before throwing it away. The Mocha Smoothie could've been a lot better if it was sweeter, but it became more watered down as my friend continued to drink it. A waste of money. read more

If there's one thing you should take away from this review, it's to try the meatball sandwich (banh mi xiu mai). This is the owner's recipe and it's legit. Being Vietnamese myself, it's nice to have a place that goes beyond the typical barbecue sandwich, which is great as well by the way. I've personally tried the combination, BBQ, and meatball sandwiches and can safely say that I prefer these over anything offered in Chinatown. I should probably mention the drinks which are delicious since it is a tea house, but trust me that the sandwiches alone are worth the stop. PS: This is probably the only yelp review I'll ever write just to let people know to come support this awesome place. Hands down everything I ordered was delicious! My kids and my husband enjoyed everything too. First time here yesterday with my daughter . And the girl that took our order which I think is the owner because she was very helpful and very nice . I ordered eggrolls ( best I have had at a Teahouse ) they are authentic Vietnamese style. Upon walking in, the whole place seemed chaotic with 4 people behind the register area talking over each other plus loud (but good) music playing. Regardless, we were still greeted with a hello and the guy taking our order seemed happy and took our order happily and with a smile! I'm fairly picky with the taste of my Milk tea so we only ordered that (Milk Tea + egg pudding + tapioca)... and it was just ok. Their boba was also not as chewy as we'd like but to each his own. Not sure if it was worth the long wait for one drink (then they didn't put egg pudding in it so we had to hand the drink back so they could re-pour it to another cup that had the egg pudding) --- first experience with them is so so. Their location is not too far out of the way for our normal routes so we may give them a try later on when they are further established. read more
