I came here at 12:30ish. I ordered a smoothie and mai's fries, and so did my two other friends. The wait was very long, and it seemed like she was understaffed. She was working both the kitchen and the register. We waited a solid 20-25min for our orders to finally come. Even then, not everything came out at once. I ordered the mango smoothie and it was okay, it didn't taste very fresh. As for the fries, they were very good, but took a long time to get out. This is a cozy, clean place in a developing retail area that we stopped by on a whim to get some drinks and snacks. We tried the milk tea with tapioca and a mango smoothie, and both were very refreshing. We stayed for lunch and ended up trying almost all the items available, including the Pork banh mi, Potstickers, Calamari, Empanadas (stuffed with meat and potato), Fries de Mai (Beef Kim Chi fries), and Popcorn Chicken. All were a great addition to the drinks we ordered, and having a wide variety made me want to return for future cravings for quick small bites and tapioca drinks. Very rude customer service. Will not be coming back. This place is close to work and I was excited, but the lady doesn't seem like she cares about business. I ended up going to another teahouse about 6 min away and will be a regular there instead because they don't lie and charge extra for light ice and then go on to pour two scoops in each cup even after you paid extra for light ice. Paid the lady at Mai's and left the drinks, because the lady was getting really rude. I was told to come back tomorrow to speak to the owner but no thanks... I have been to this place three times and here's each times review: First time: Super friendly service, sandwiches were made fast even though there was a good amount of people in there. The sandwiches tasted really good and the teas were slightly too sweet, but I'll take it. Second time: ordered two milk teas this time and they were out of boba. Out of boba at a teahouse? Fine. The milk teas looked very similar so we had to taste each one to figure out which was which. They tasted almost exactly the same. One was red bean and one was Jasmine. Third time: came by myself and ordered one sandwich and one lavender tea. I saw the girl starting to make a milk tea. it was supposed to be a regular lavender tea with no milk. She said that's all they have. I showed her the menu after she made it and she said I was right. I took it anyway. My sandwich took a long time to make compared to the first time even though no one was in there. Also the owners bring their toddler and he runs around and screams. Also he kept touching me and he sneezed on me which left spit on my arm. Normally I'm fine with kids but I don't think you should bring your kid to work with you if you can help it. Also when I was trying to leave he blocked the door so it was awkward until someone said just ignore him. This place is close to home when I want my banh mi and tea fix, but I'll try to go somewhere else next time mostly due to my last visit. read more

My family and I love coming here. It's always been a nice and pleasant environment and the food is always good. However today 4/10/18 was such a disappointment. I came in with my children as usual along with my 2 filled stamped cards one for drinks one for sandwiches. The cashier couldn't figure out how to use it and told me that I basically cannot use it and will need to come back when the owner is present. I was thoroughly shocked and appalled that they don't know how to use their own stamp cards and would even suggest that I wait for the owner. Cashier needs training for sure and until further training I don't think she qualifies to man the register. I'm hoping that this is just a small hiccup. I will continue to come here but maybe not as often since this was handled very badly. read more

My husband and I went in today to try their Viet sandwiches for quick dinner meal. He had the bbq pork sandwich and I had the meatball---both were delicious!! So glad we finally have a boba and sandwich place closer to home when we are feeling Viet sandwiches or boba drinks! The people who work here are extremely sweet and friendly as it's a family owned business and we hope they thrive because we will definitely be coming back for the smoothies and more sandwiches. First and foremost, the proximity from this location to my house is stellar. I've always hated going the extra miles for my boba/smoothie fix, so I was really excited to see these guys be placed so conveniently on 1464. I've visited quite the many times these past few months and I tried REALLY hard to like this place, but each time it just seemed to get progressively worse. One of my more recent visits though is what compelled me to write this review. I got a taro smoothie with tapioca. Sounds hard to mess up right? I'm not sure what went wrong, but my drink was incredibly starchy and every gulp was unsatisfying as the next. I would absolutely commend them if they used and blended real/fresh taro root as opposed to the powder mix, but it needs to blend thoroughly. I had chunks upon chunks of "taro" which is actually kind of ironic as a smoothie should be exactly that; smooth. Additionally, it wasn't as sweet as I'm accustomed to, but I'll just blame that on milk ratio (because I'm not sure if they have measuring requirements.) One of my friends ordered the egg rolls and concluded that either they were frozen or were fried too hard since the filling was entirely too crispy and dry. I had the spicy (it's spicy y'all) calamari, which wasn't too bad, but definitely would have preferred maybe... less batter? Just a suggestion. I was fighting tooth (literally) and nail to get through the excessive coating of the squid. I still enjoyed it though. In the end, a couple of other friends just said their drinks were alright and that it didn't have them fawning over their beverages. Nevertheless, I returned yet again just a couple of days ago to get a red bean smoothie. I have to mention, the ambience of the establishment is extremely modern and pleasant. When I arrived, there was a family in front of me that had placed a huge order and the person/female/cashier who was working the register had my smoothie prioritized and out first so that I didn't have to wait, which I greatly appreciated. Their customer service cannot be faulted, as it is impeccable, and I actually enjoy lounging around whenever I get the opportunity. But like the last time, the drink fell flat for me. The smoothie was filled with red bean husk and ended up separating rather quickly this time, even with me vehemently swirling it and the sweetness could barely be noted. I think I just have bad luck with tapioca smoothies here. If my friends ever decide to frequent this place again, I'll probably make-do with just a snack next time and stick to my old teahouses for the drinks. read more
