I've been coming here for a year now. And I never imagined I'd stop coming to a place over bad service. I usually always get my little sister her own drink but she never finishes it. Today I asked to have the smoothie split in to two cups but she denied and said I would have to buy two separate drinks, which It didn't bother me, I understood. But when I asked for an empty cup to split it myself, she wanted to sell me the cup for a dollar. Those clear disposable plastic cups. Upon walking in, the whole place seemed chaotic with 4 people behind the register area talking over each other plus loud (but good) music playing. Regardless, we were still greeted with a hello and the guy taking our order seemed happy and took our order happily and with a smile! I'm fairly picky with the taste of my Milk tea so we only ordered that (Milk Tea + egg pudding + tapioca)... and it was just ok. Their boba was also not as chewy as we'd like but to each his own. Not sure if it was worth the long wait for one drink (then they didn't put egg pudding in it so we had to hand the drink back so they could re-pour it to another cup that had the egg pudding) --- first experience with them is so so. The place seemed to be well organized as a new business. They have only been open for one month! I walked in with a large group ahead of me. I came here at 12:30ish. I ordered a smoothie and mai's fries, and so did my two other friends. The wait was very long, and it seemed like she was understaffed. She was working both the kitchen and the register. We waited a solid 20-25min for our orders to finally come. Even then, not everything came out at once. I ordered the mango smoothie and it was okay, it didn't taste very fresh. As for the fries, they were very good, but took a long time to get out. For a boba place, it's very slow, I've been to plenty of teahouses and this one has to be ranked lowest in speed. read more

This is a cozy, clean place in a developing retail area that we stopped by on a whim to get some drinks and snacks. We tried the milk tea with tapioca and a mango smoothie, and both were very refreshing. We stayed for lunch and ended up trying almost all the items available, including the Pork banh mi, Potstickers, Calamari, Empanadas (stuffed with meat and potato), Fries de Mai (Beef Kim Chi fries), and Popcorn Chicken. All were a great addition to the drinks we ordered, and having a wide variety made me want to return for future cravings for quick small bites and tapioca drinks. One of my new go-to spots for milk tea with tapioca in Houston! Man my milk tea was soooooo good! The tapioca was perfect! I went for the first time this week and came back the next day haha. Came across this Teahouse place and decided to try it. By far the best boba I've had in the Southwest Houston area. Boba is fresh and the food options they offer is good for a light snack. Very rude customer service. Will not be coming back. This place is close to work and I was excited, but the lady doesn't seem like she cares about business. I ended up going to another teahouse about 6 min away and will be a regular there instead because they don't lie and charge extra for light ice and then go on to pour two scoops in each cup even after you paid extra for light ice. Paid the lady at Mai's and left the drinks, because the lady was getting really rude. I was told to come back tomorrow to speak to the owner but no thanks... I have been to this place three times and here's each times review: First time: Super friendly service, sandwiches were made fast even though there was a good amount of people in there. The sandwiches tasted really good and the teas were slightly too sweet, but I'll take it. Second time: ordered two milk teas this time and they were out of boba. Out of boba at a teahouse? Fine. The milk teas looked very similar so we had to taste each one to figure out which was which. They tasted almost exactly the same. One was red bean and one was Jasmine. Third time: came by myself and ordered one sandwich and one lavender tea. I saw the girl starting to make a milk tea. it was supposed to be a regular lavender tea with no milk. She said that's all they have. I showed her the menu after she made it and she said I was right. I took it anyway. My sandwich took a long time to make compared to the first time even though no one was in there. Also the owners bring their toddler and he runs around and screams. Also he kept touching me and he sneezed on me which left spit on my arm. Normally I'm fine with kids but I don't think you should bring your kid to work with you if you can help it. Also when I was trying to leave he blocked the door so it was awkward until someone said just ignore him. This place is close to home when I want my banh mi and tea fix, but I'll try to go somewhere else next time mostly due to my last visit. read more

My family and I love coming here. It's always been a nice and pleasant environment and the food is always good. However today 4/10/18 was such a disappointment. I came in with my children as usual along with my 2 filled stamped cards one for drinks one for sandwiches. The cashier couldn't figure out how to use it and told me that I basically cannot use it and will need to come back when the owner is present. I was thoroughly shocked and appalled that they don't know how to use their own stamp cards and would even suggest that I wait for the owner. Cashier needs training for sure and until further training I don't think she qualifies to man the register. I'm hoping that this is just a small hiccup. I will continue to come here but maybe not as often since this was handled very badly. read more

My husband and I went in today to try their Viet sandwiches for quick dinner meal. He had the bbq pork sandwich and I had the meatball---both were delicious!! So glad we finally have a boba and sandwich place closer to home when we are feeling Viet sandwiches or boba drinks! The people who work here are extremely sweet and friendly as it's a family owned business and we hope they thrive because we will definitely be coming back for the smoothies and more sandwiches.
