Dined in Friday 7-29-2022. The atmosphere and service was excellent. The food was fabulous. Starting with the mouth watering bread, had a crab based soup appetizer that was excellent. Salad and dressing was so good. I had the lamb which was the best I have eaten in years. Perfect. Wife had a spicy shrimp cream sauce dish on angel hair pasta. She cleaned the plate. The deserts were perfect and the wine was . They only have one seating so you take your time and enjoy your ex I can't wait to return. No credit cards. Cash or check.

We loves dining at Maison Lacour so much. Such a cute, quaint, QUIET, French restaurant! Perfect for an intimate date night. All of the food was AMAZING, and what makes it even better is the husband and wife who own and run the business. Text to reserve your spot as early as possible because they stay booked.

Went here for my boyfriend's birthday and had an absolutely delicious meal! Everything was prepared well and the service was very attentive. I forgot to take pictures of our starters but they were also delicious. Only downside keeping it from a 5 star is it's cash only and it's definitely a European feel as we were dining for 2.5 hours. Come hungry and expect to be there for a while but overall amazing and worth it!

February 2021 - mask worn by all; social distancing enforced. Text Eva to make reservations. Romantic, white table cloth tables. Beautiful place to get engaged. Eva was wonderful to work with. Texted her for a reservation and was very responsive. Food outstanding and worth every penny.

Nice, unique restaurant that is great for a special night. The place is small and quiet- great for a date night. It is on the expensive side but that's ok for special occasions. We had duck pate, lamb, seafood crepe, chocolate cake, and the walnut cake. The pate was just ok but everything else was cooked and seasoned well. The mustard sauce with the lamb was well balanced - it had an acid element that most pan sauces are missing. Even the salad included with the meals was delicious. I'd go back here for a future special occasion. Definitely get reservation.

Probably one of the best dining experiences I have had in Baton Rouge. Food is amazing and the service was attentive and helpful. The whole vibe is intimate but not stuffy. We got the escargot and the soup as appetizers and we both very happy with our choices. For main course I had the wild boar with a mushroom sauce which was dynamite and my wife had the seafood crepe which was really good. We felt like we absolutely had to get a soufflé for desert but debated on if each needed one. I was very glad that we decided to get a chocolate and a lemon. We ate every bit of it. This is definitely a special occasion type place, but for the quality and experience, I found it very reasonably priced.

Maison Lacour is a traditional French restaurant run by a French family presented in a tiny house. It's so cute and sweet. But don't let all this cuteness trick you, this is not a place to take lightly- the food is prepared with the highest levels of detail. And as you might expect, there is a price to match. You just feel fancy eating here. Personally I almost always get the filet forestière, which is a nice size filet with mushrooms and sauce on top. After having a steak here, no other place can compare. If you want to try the soufflé (and trust me, you do), make sure to let your server know early because it takes 30 minutes to prepare. I also recommend reservations and try out the early bird menu which they have from 5:30-6:30; it comes with 4 courses for a lower set price. I love Maison Lacour!

Lovely, intimate atmosphere where you feel like family and true guests. The service and pacing is impeccable. I loved everything, but the seafood soup and filet Béarnaise were true standouts.

Best restaurant in Baton Rouge and it's really not close, in my opinion. Just about everything I've ever ordered here, from the lamb to the duck to the steaks, have been exceptional. It's quaint, romantic, and perfect for a date night. Service is always top-notch. Truly a hidden gem.

Madison Lacour has been apart of the Baton Rouge French cuisine since 1986. Words of advice. If you haven't tried it you are missing out. Amazing dining experience. Oh yeah dessert. Bread Pudding is to die for.

Since I stay here yearly for our work Christmas Party, I have become fond of this hotel for several reasons. I don't like that the lounge is closed on weekends, but I do like that status members (platinum and above) get a voucher for a free breakfast. That makes this a great deal for me. At around 30-35 per person, otherwise, it may not be a great deal for you (Louie's isn't that far away). Breakfast here is either buffet style or order off of the menu. The buffet has many different options, including the standards. The eggs are good, the potatoes are very good, and the meats are also very good. There is hot sauce available, and service is always friendly and prompt. Best news? The voucher covers gratuity as well! Note: The bar is also great. There is a solid selection of beer and bourbon. Expect to pay hotel prices, but after all, you are at a hotel. Shout out to the super friendly artenders!

It was a littler saucier than I would have wanted, but the flavor was good and the portion generous. Kiddo had the margherita pizza. It was more of a flatbread and a little soggy. Not for me, but the kid enjoyed it and portion was huge. Hubs had the zydeco pasta. He really liked it, but the chicken was a little dry. Had a nice smoky flavor, though. For dessert we shared the turtle molten chocolate cake. It was ok. Needed a scoop of ice cream and more lava. Service was friendly. Overall, it's a good bet if you're close by, but probably not a destination. *Sorry all my photos were taken mid meal. Didn't think about reviewing until we were half done eating.

It came warm in a giant cappuccino mug and I don't even think she steamed the milk (the picture is actually how it came, I didn't touch it yet). They pride themselves on their coffee and I was impressed that they even had a flat white on the menu so I had high hopes. I also ordered the poached egg on the biscuit which came out as a hard boiled egg on top of a stale biscuit. I asked for an egg that wasn't " hard-boiled" and guess what came back on top... a mini quiche. I could see the confusion though, the cook probably thought that I wanted an egg prepared a different way than before. Anyway, the cheese on it wasn't even melted and the arugula was slimy like cooked spinach. Coffee egg cheese biscuit arugula . The only thing I ate was the old dry bacon. One out of five elements of that was edible. On another note, the atmosphere is very nice and it has a cool vibe. It has a really good potential, just poorly executed.

Both good choices. Overall, the wine pairing was okay. I like the appetizer pairing of a nice light, white bubbly prosecco. The second was a classic red wine to pair with a steak. Shout out to the server who was accommodating and swapped out that glass for what I requested. He didn't have to, but he did! The food was mouth watering delicious. We started off with the sauteed shrimp and the piquillo peppers. THANK GOD the piquillo peppers are a Solera regular. I will be getting them again. The shrimp were just okay, nothing out of this world. Second course was the filet with polenta. It was absolutely delicious and packed with flavors that complimented each other well. Final course we had the rum bread pudding and the manchego cheesecake. The manchego cheese is definitely a rich and an acquiring flavor. Without the blueberry sauce, you would think its just a slab of cheese. The rum bread pudding was spectacular. I have never loved a rum sauce with my bread pudding, but the Solera one kept me wanting more.
