WOW! The service is pure perfection! They were so attentive that we never had to request a single thing! The waiters watched our table of about 20 and refilled drinks, cocktails & appetizers without us even noticing! They answered all questions and the staff made us feel appreciated and welcomed! My husband and I dined at the Supper Club for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The service was top notch! Our server, Sam, was well versed on the menu and suggested a few items. The ambiance was okay. The lights were pretty dim and the music was too loud, in my opinion, for a fine dining experience. Now, for the food. The complimentary fries were good and the two sauces served with it were delicious. My husband enjoyed the burnt ends. I enjoyed the crab bisque, but there wasn't much crab and lacked seasoning. The side dishes were tastier than the main dishes. The cuts of meat were very good and tender, but there was little to no seasoning. I mean not even salt and pepper. The drinks... my husband enjoyed his beer and I enjoyed my cocktail. For the price, I thought my drink would be a bit bigger. Overall, it was an okay experience. We were seated at a very small table in the middle of the restaurant. It is also graduation season, so the restaurant was packed. There was little to no greeting as we walked up and the seating felt rushed. The tip was included, which is not an issue, except that it was NOT mentioned in the many rules they listed on their website or in the call two days before to remind us not to be more than 15 minutes late or they'd keep our $50 deposit. My recent visit to supper club had was very nice overall. I'm not sure why most modern restaurants have such dark lighting these days and even though we made a reservation extremely far in advance we still have to wait almost 45 mins to be seated which pushed our plans back a ton. The food was food, I do believe the menu is diverse enough for everyone to find something they would like. My group ended up getting drinks not on the menu and I tried the Vera Bradley prosecco, which was really tasty. For the food we pretty much shared mostly all that came to the table. I will say the sear on the ribeye was perfect!!! I really enjoyed the meatballs and the king crab bisque as well. It is Baton Rouge's rendition of what a separate club is and I guess as close as it's gonna get being it's the only one here I've been to all of the original supper clubs in South Florida and in Vegas It's not quite to the same degree but again it's the only one in Baton Rouge. It's nice. I think everyone should go to it at least once and give it a try little pricey and if you've never been to a real supper club, you probably have a great time. This restaurant is super fancy and elegant, from the outside to the inside. But honestly, it's pretty dark inside, so it feels more like you're at a club than a fine dining restaurant. I had to use my phone's flashlight just to take pictures, which was a bit annoying since I didn't want to bother the people around us. I feel like this place is more geared toward a younger crowd, with its modern, open vibe. If you're looking for a romantic, quiet date night, this might not be the spot. Otherwise , the service was really good, and they took care of everything. We started with sashimi (salmon, tuna, and white fish) with some kind of toppings and dressing. The fish was super fresh, but the toppings were a bit strange for me. The steak, though, was absolutely amazing! We got the New York Strip, and it was so flavorful, juicy, and tender. Even though it's not the top steak they offer, the chef made it incredible. We also had scallops, which were big, juicy, and perfectly cooked. They even gave us complimentary champagne because we were celebrating, which was a really nice touch. Overall, everything was pretty perfect. Let's start by saying I see what they are doing with this establishment, but they are missing the mark in a few areas. They are going for an upscale, elite type atmosphere. There is a dress code imposed which automatically makes it appear to be an upscale restaurant. I am not a fan of the $25 per person initial charge for reservations, which to me is a bit tacky for the type of restaurant they are trying to present themselves as. The restaurant itself is quite minimalist when it comes to décor but it fits the space well. The space where the restrooms are is very open and there's one large mirror on the wall that seemed to attract all the ladies to take a photo. If you can't find your date for awhile she's taking photos by the bathroom. The music is a bit loud which you can either love or hate. They play the same 50cent song for birthdays anytime someone orders whatever special item is for that. I think we heard it about 5 or 6 times in the 3 hours we were there. So that gets a bit annoying. Now on to the food. The food is good. I'll give them that. Pricey but good. I tried several different things to get a general idea of flavors with the seafood. The service does take awhile so prepare for that. It was all well prepared although the bisque could've used a bit more seasoning in my opinion, but that is just my pallet. What I found most disappointing is the in-house "sommelier". As a sommelier, I would expect knowledge greater than that of a wine waiter. When the proclaimed sommelier came to our table to give recommendations, they were not based on the actual meals we ordered but rather general recommendations on the menu. I would have preferred he give me the option that complimented my food choice. I also found disappointment in the pronunciation of the wines. He should take more time to learn how to pronounce the wines properly if he is going to recommend them. As someone who speaks French, it hurt to hear the wine I chose incorrectly pronounced. A sommelier specializes in all aspects of wine service but I would question his credentials. All in all, it is a nice plays for an event dinner or romantic evening but prepare your wallets and do not make any immediate plans afterwards as the time spent there can be a bit long. I see what that are going for but they are falling just a bit short of the mark. Still a nice place though. read more

I was in town for a work trip and knew I wanted to try this place out for dinner, and it was well worth the time. The dark interior is very sexy, and perfect for a night out. Instead of bread, they bring out complimentary fries with two dipping sauces, which were delicious!! For the main course we had the Sagrera cut and bone in filet with the truffled corn and everything was mouthwateringly delicious. The truffled corn was phenomenal and the perfect compliment to the steak. For dessert we went with the butter cake, which was also amazing. I got Vegas vibes in BR and it's pretty cool. When you walk up there is a bouncer at the door to confirm your reservation and then once confirmed you walk into a small room and open the door to "the club". I love the vibe here and the pleasant greeting as soon as you walk in. There is a dress code so no jeans and tshirt kind of frill. It really seemed like a modern day Ruth Chris to me. The food, we got the filet steak and the lobster pasta and Mac for a side. Whatever you do, get the Mac. It was so good and the cheeses they use are perfection. Oh and instead of bread they start you with some fries for a lagniappe which is really different for this area. The steak was perfectly cooked and my hubs enjoyed his lobster pasta. Overall this would be a special occasion spot for me. It will run you about 175-250 for 2 depending on what you order. We did get drinks and 2 meals and a side and walked out at about 175 after tip.
