I've been to several shelters in the past year to adopt and it's been up and down. I went here on a Saturday after work and brought home my fur ever baby girl. I'm a proud happy fur mom . This is the happiest day of my life . I cried so many tears of joy when I was able to adopt my new female dog. I named her Sasha. Previously known as Oldsmobile. Sasha is the absolute sweetest girl ever. Sasha is what my heart needed. As a puppy she is very smart. Introducing to crate has been fairly well. Eating wow this girl can eat, run, do sprints around the house, yard and is super excited. I am too lol. Potty training is going very well in the morning she wakes me up with kisses to say she has to go and stands by door we go out. We have a routine. Totally recommend Homeward Per adoption to everyone. You will never be disappointed. The accept donations from you if your pet has passed away, been surrendered or you just want to donate, food, toys, supplies for dogs and cats. Well, I could continue to give praises all day. Gotta go mommy duty is calling.

After making a lifelong connection to the rescue when I relocated, I became a volunteer myself over the years. The rescue is fully run and operated by dedicated professionals, animal rescuers, and animal lovers. I am so grateful to have made this rescue and all of the people who make it part of my own adopted family here in Washington. I now "fospice" foster for some of the rescues unadoptables. To keep the shelter open for adoptable pets, and really get behind "no ferret turned away", and remain a no-kill shelter, a lot of the shelter's more complicated kiddos are hanging out with so many of our volunteers, enjoying the final years of life in a home. This is truly a wonderful organization that centers the animals first, always.

There are excellent shelters but this is clean, well-maintained and has their Veterinarian in the same complex. They have a vet tech on-site and carefully check out potential adopters. I am pleased to support this caring and professional shelter. And yes, I've visited both locations and consistently impressed by the clean, safe environment. This shelter provides great value for your donation. It is worthy of your support.

While I was there, I noticed a little pug and asked about her. They told me she wasn't available for adoption. I could see why -- her butt was prolapsed and there was liquid poop and blood all over her kennel. She was panting, whining, and frantically trying to get out. It was really upsetting to see. I spoke with the manager, who told me not to worry, that they had it under control and the dog was fine. I left feeling terrible. I came back a few days later and the poor pug was still in the same condition -- prolapse, bloody diarrhea, the whole thing. She still looked miserable. I'm really concerned that they don't have the animals' best interest at heart. A prolapsed rectum is painful, and there was clearly blood coming from her. I just don't understand how a person could look at that and think it's okay to leave her like that. This experience has me seriously questioning the level of care the animals are getting. I wanted to support the shelter, but I left feeling heartbroken and worried. I'm still looking to adopt a dog, but after this experience I don't feel confident adopting from here.

I tried again two days later, same experience happened. Finally a day later they told me the cat I chose was already gone and told me to just make an appointment whenever I see a new cat arrives. I did but then the lady said I can't make an appointment because the cat just came in, need 72 hours. She can't guarantee I would get the cat though. I don't want to waste more time, I went to a different shelter where people know how to run the business. I got the cat!

They transport them here super humanely and are such a great organization. This is their website https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org We applied for John then had 2 different phone interviews and a reference check. They are 100% legit so I am unsure about all the negative comments, I am a real life person from Oregon who adopted a dog from them. Our coordinator who was based in Washington also connected one of our dogs siblings to use because at the time we didn't have social media and it's been so great to develop a friendship with them and for John and Elliot to be able to reconnect. The adoption prices has definitely gone up since March 2024 but not surprised as so has everything in this country. John is so well behaved and came that way and I attribute that to the amazing fosters these dogs have! Thank you TLP and if you're looking for a cat or dog, I highly recommend saving one from the overpopulation Texas area where this rescue saves dogs!

I've been waiting to hear since Monday. both of the dogs I had asked for in that time were posted and now adopted, and their team doesn't seem to care about getting me connected with another animal in need of a home, apparently, for charging so much to adopt a dog, terrible communication. Would probably just move on.

I have volunteered for this organization for the last 5 years and have had the pleasure of meeting some of the volunteers and board members. The fact that this person who left a review that was completely false! There is not 1 person who is a breeder associated with this organization! We bring these dogs into our personal homes with all their baggage and try to get them healthy and socialized with our own dogs. We do this because we care deeply for this breed of dog. We have owned this breed for years and know they are prone to have allergies to everything! Some dogs come into our homes with almost no hair, their ears and feet so swollen with yeast because of lack of care. It takes months to rehabilitate, re-socialize them into members of our families so we can find them their forever homes. Yes I've loved each and everydog that has come into our home and I work really hard at placing them into a home that is perfect for them! I would move into each home I've placed a dog into and felt very confident with their placements. I hear from almost everyone of the homes I've placed dogs into and have contact with the surrendering families if they want to know updates on their dogs I always will communicate with them. Until you can walk in a volunteer footprints to love unconditionally for months and then find them the absolutely best home placement for them than please say nothing! Everyone with Bulldoghavennw.org is a volunteer with their homes, family, time and love. Not one person is "hoarding" these dogs. Our end goal is to rehabilitate them and find them their forever homes. We don't get the perfect dogs into our rescue, we get the dogs who are needing extensive medical care and dogs who have not been socialize. We volunteers care so deeply for this breed that we give up our time, homes and families to help them. Please be respectful, just because you were not the right fit for one dog dosent mean you won't be a great fit for another dog. You may not get what you want, you get what you need. Fill out an application to foster, we have dogs waiting to get into our care. Be the solution

We adopted our boy Moo from them and they spoke with me prior to adoption for hours to make sure we were a good fit for the dog and visa versa. They are taking in dogs that are expensive to care for and have lots of health issues (it's the breed). Do your research before rescuing a bulldog they are amazing dogs but they do have a lot of special needs. They are couch potatoes but also have a lot of energy and are stubborn as a mule. But you will not find a better breed to be a Velcro dog. Bulldog Haven still checks in to see how he is settling over 6 months later. When we are ready for another bulldog we will be using them again. If you are not looking to add to your family please consider donating!
