    VERY SMART!!!!

This is a real cat sanctuary. "Every cat matters". We adopted Tootsie Carrie after Jessica their adoption coordinator suggested her to us. I was looking for a senior cat because cats live quite awhile and we are in our 70's. I really didn't think I could get through training, raising etc a kitten. Prior to adopting Tootsie Carrie I was the primary caretaker of my land ladys older dog with special needs so I knew a little about insurance, care plans etc....so I was open to a special needs cat. I pretty much made up my mind that we were going to adopt her when we went to see her but when I met her she nuzzled me and I was amazed by how friendly she was. In the few months that she has been with us we have found that she is very smart!

I adopted an adult cat from here last month. They weren't as clear about communicating medical needs as I would have liked, as they told me the cat was on daily medication after I left. Not a big deal for me personally. However, my experience overall was good. They let me see a different cat than I had an appointment for who I fell in live with and took home. Which might have attributed to the medication mixup. They seem to really care for their animals and making sure they go to a forever home is a priority. Which is super important.

Wonderful organization. Can't say enough positive things.

Wonderful organization dedicated to all cats. Can't say enough positive things about their work in the community and their advocacy work.

I have been volunteering at Purrfect Pals for 3 years. I am an adoption counselor because I trust the organization that they take good care of the cats and we all try hard to find the best forever home for the cars :) drop by and say hi!

Etta Mae, the three-legged wonder cat that I adopted from Purrfect Pals in July 2013.

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Perhaps most importantly, they have always treated my pup the same way I treat her; like family. I can't recommend Julz enough and would urge others to support this awesome local business.

The one who passed could be in a dead sleep and the moment we turned by the coffee stand, would wake and jump from window to window making his "sounds". Often times, I would just carry him, since he was a pomeranian and small. By the time we walked in, someone would "steal him" and keep him behind the front counter just loving on him, giving him treats and enjoying his snuggles. (Definitely helped while I shopped and carried his cold raw food ) Everyone there is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Each time I've moved, I've traveled just to get food/treats from Julz. My newer pup even loves the place! He gets to come in and sniff all the cool dehydrated treats at doggy level!! He gets mad at me when I tell him he can't steal any, but he knows he will get some in the car. This place always has the top brands of everything!! Thank you Julie and team for everything you guys do!!!

They transport them here super humanely and are such a great organization. This is their website https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org We applied for John then had 2 different phone interviews and a reference check. They are 100% legit so I am unsure about all the negative comments, I am a real life person from Oregon who adopted a dog from them. Our coordinator who was based in Washington also connected one of our dogs siblings to use because at the time we didn't have social media and it's been so great to develop a friendship with them and for John and Elliot to be able to reconnect. The adoption prices has definitely gone up since March 2024 but not surprised as so has everything in this country. John is so well behaved and came that way and I attribute that to the amazing fosters these dogs have! Thank you TLP and if you're looking for a cat or dog, I highly recommend saving one from the overpopulation Texas area where this rescue saves dogs!

Would give zero stars if I could. First they charge three times as much as a local adoption…read more Second, my cat arrived filthy, covered in some sort of crust, so he needed a bath ASAP. Third, they claimed he was dewormed, yet we noticed little white worms coming out of his bottom immediately. After a a trip to the vet, he did indeed have a tapeworm, also Coccidia (a Giardia-like parasite that took two rounds of antibiotics and all the stomach upset that goes along with it) and he had a severe case of gingivitis that involved several more vet appointments and life-long dental care. I love my cat, but would I ever adopt through this agency again? Hell no. Thousands of dollars later and no response to my request for a refund of my fees, I say, just leave your door open for an hour and let the cat distribution system do its work. You'll save a lot of money and heartache. Oh, wait, don't get me started on the hours of interviews prior to adoption, not Giardia only for me, but my landlord and three of my references. They are overly thorough when it comes to wasting your time to make sure you're a solid candidate to own one of their rescues. Turns out that they put zero hours into making sure they ship you a healthy animal. Avoid this place at all costs!

While I was there, I noticed a little pug and asked about her. They told me she wasn't available for adoption. I could see why -- her butt was prolapsed and there was liquid poop and blood all over her kennel. She was panting, whining, and frantically trying to get out. It was really upsetting to see. I spoke with the manager, who told me not to worry, that they had it under control and the dog was fine. I left feeling terrible. I came back a few days later and the poor pug was still in the same condition -- prolapse, bloody diarrhea, the whole thing. She still looked miserable. I'm really concerned that they don't have the animals' best interest at heart. A prolapsed rectum is painful, and there was clearly blood coming from her. I just don't understand how a person could look at that and think it's okay to leave her like that. This experience has me seriously questioning the level of care the animals are getting. I wanted to support the shelter, but I left feeling heartbroken and worried. I'm still looking to adopt a dog, but after this experience I don't feel confident adopting from here.

I tried again two days later, same experience happened. Finally a day later they told me the cat I chose was already gone and told me to just make an appointment whenever I see a new cat arrives. I did but then the lady said I can't make an appointment because the cat just came in, need 72 hours. She can't guarantee I would get the cat though. I don't want to waste more time, I went to a different shelter where people know how to run the business. I got the cat!
