I have never stopped anyone from stopping a service. Not a haircut, nails, massage....i couldn't handle the cold water during my pedicure here after repeatedly asking to make it warmer, she barely touched the bottom of my feet, and when I realized she was about to paint my toes, I had to say something. I have no idea what that was but it wasn't a pedicure. Craziest part is they still charged me after seeing how upset I was. Of course I paid, but how embarrassing! Got my nails done here for my sister's wedding. First off, the salon is dirty. Dust and nail bits everywhere, nail polish bottles filthy, etc. - makes me concerned for the sanitation procedures and if they use properly cleaned tools etc. The actual services were poorly preformed. Barely scrubbed my feet during the pedicure, polish is streaky and uneven. Got a gel manicure and the tech very roughly filed my nails to remove the old polish and didn't soak in acetone (which I know is the correct removal process). Did not push or trim my cuticles. The gel polish is streaky and bubbling, with visible brush strokes, polish on my skin, and it's already chipped on several nails by the next day. Pretty terrible service and very expensive to boot. The staff was very nice - about the only thing that went well. All in all, go pretty much anywhere else to get your nails done in Asheville. read more

went for the first time the other day. called ahead for an appointment on a weekday, they accommodated me no problem. I arrived 15 min early and I was the only customer there! They got to work right away, answered all my questions, and were very nice. I got a full set of acrylics and a pedicure with polish for $95. I have to say, they did take their time. I went in for a 1:00 appointment and didn't come back out until almost 3:30. that being said, I didn't have anywhere to be and wasn't in any rush, and i'm assuming they took their time because I was the only customer for the majority of the time I was there. And honestly, it was well worth the time it took. My acrylics are the best i've ever had, they're shaped perfectly and best of all aren't too thick, which is a personal pet peeve. Me and my sister went to majestic nails to have our nails done in the gel nails and every design we picked they didnt know how to do so we had to pick the plain Jane's and charged us 100.00. Well six days later one on my nail broke and I had to glue it back 2 to times now and also they left some of the tips white showing also. I have never had a gel nail to break on me this soon. Completely unsatisfied. Never will go back there again read more

I went in today for a basic pedicure and a polish change on my fingers and I had an AWESOME experience. As soon as I sat down they offered me water, pop or wine. Friendly staff. The guy who did my pedicure was really good. I could tell he actually knew what he was doing. It was the best pedicure massage I've had in a very long time. I have gone here three times. The first two times were overall good experiences. The young man who did my nails was very friendly and he did a pretty good job on my nails. However, the third time I went, I needed old acrylics removed. Their removal method is to use an acrylic nail tip and pry the nails off your finger instead of soaking them off. It seemed to work okay, so I didn't question them. The older gentleman who was doing it though was very rushed and rough. He ended up taking a chunk out of my thumb nail and causing me to bleed, and proceeded to use unsanitized clippers and file on my bleeding finger. I have a pinky that as a child the finger nail fell off, so the nail I have now is a bit thin and sensitive. He was being so rough that the nail RIPPED in half, which has never happened before. My pinky nail began bleeding and he didn't say a word about it. I was going to get acrylic tips, but obviously I didn't want to get them on injured fingers. So instead I just asked for a manicure and he was going to soak my fingers for the manicure without me even having washed my hands of the blood. So basically I'm never going there again. Which is unfortunate but oh well. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. My fiancé got her nails done here and they were so rough with her nails. The pads of her fingertips were raw and bleeding for days after because they filed so aggressively. Her cuticles were raw and bleeding. The nails didn't even look good! When she took the SNS off there was holes in her nail underneath from were they had completely destroyed them. It's not like she had brittle nails to begin with. My mom and I are in town for a wedding. We got mani pedis done at Majestic. They were done very sloppy. The polish was all over my nail beds. I had to ask several times to have them cleaned up. They finally switch to a different technician who cleaned them up the best she could. The top coat didn't even cover the entire nail in several places. The tips of the nails weren't painted so in less then 24 hours their already coming off the tips. I also have two nails that have ripple marks on them. My mother's nails were much better then mine but still not great. This was her 1st mani pedi ever so I was hoping to make it a good experience for her. I don't like writing bad reviews but maybe it will force them to improve. read more

I was in town for business and didnt have time to get nails done before I left home. This was the most horrible mani pedi I have ever gotten. The guy was really rough with me feet. He pulled my pinky nail off and made me bleed. He cut me several times with the cuticle clippers. I never write reviews but I felt this was necessary to write a review for this place. The polish is sloppy. They did my mani while I was getting g my pedi done do no actual water touched my hands.... It's been three days with a gel mani and they are already peeling. My cuticles look horrible. Total Waste of $60, I am going to have to spend another $60 to get this fixed now that I am back home. read more

I hate writing bad reviews, and I've been here a lot and never had a problem. My mom, and sisters go here too but the last time I went I had the worst experience. First off the guy doing my pedicure stopped half way through and started working on someone that came in after me. I didn't say anything and patiently waited. But it's been a few weeks and I just took off my toenail polish to find a fungus on my toenail. And I wouldn't have thought anything about it except for a week ago my sister showed me her toe and it had the same thing on it. We had our toes done at the same time. I won't go back! read more

I have been having my nails done (acrylic) in all sorts of styles depending on trend since I was a teen in the late 90's. I have an excellent nail technician/specialist in LA and I have had plenty of other people else where do a great job on my nails over the years. However in the 18 years of getting my nails done, I have NEVER had such a bad experience as this place. Aesthetics aside, let me point out I was cut 3 times throughout the process and not one thing was said nor was any antiseptic put on the cuts. My fingers are still hurting. Now for the aesthetic...I had a brand new full set done. I showed the technician a picture of my nails in the past to show her how I liked them shaped which is a "squoval" as they refer to it in Los Angeles. She agreed to do them "square-round" which indicated to me that she knew what I wanted. The more and more she filed my nails, the more they looked like chiclet gum. Literally!! They have no round shape to them at all, but rather a block square look. Additionally they weren't filed evenly. I kept having to ask her to please get the nails even. They were higher on one side than like a slanted willy wonka funhouse nail. I asked her if she could make them more slender or narrow so they didn't look so chunky. She said it would be $5 for "narrow" This is absurd! You should be able to have your nails shaped any way you like for no extra price when you are getting acrylics, especially a full set. I told her never mind bc I could tell she still wouldn't give me what I was asking for since the shape was not on point. I was also lead to believe that there were very little colors to choose from in terms of regular nail polish. I went with gel color as that is what I normally get even though the the price for gel polish was $15 on top of the full set. Most places charge $5-$10 for gel color, so I found this pretty outrageous. I ended up with overly thick acrylic block square nails, overly painted and priced gel polish and 3 painful cuts: two in the center of my cuticle and one underneath the side of my finger. I have no idea how she managed to cut me underneath my finger except she was rather careless in her handling. On top of it all, she wasn't very friendly or accommodating to the issues I had with the nails. I tipped her $5 (normally I tip more) The only reason I tipped her was bc I have worked in the service industry and feel bad if I do not tip. But in all honesty it's ridiculous I paid $45 including a tip for such a terrible job. Right now I am literally trying to reshape my freshly gel painted acrylics myself. Not my style for such a long bad review. But that's just how bad this place is. DON'T go here. I went out of convenience. I should have trusted the low rating when I checked it out before walking in the door. read more

Just had a pedicure there. I am quite dissatisfied with the service. When a business is opened until 7 o'clock, they should allow for the time to appropriately care for their client. It was so rushed--I don't really care the massage was short; I do, however, care that he so quickly and haphazardly polished my nails, stuck those ridiculous things on my feet ( rather than pause for a second and place my own sandals on my feet, as every other place ALWAYS does), and then effectively ushered me out the door within 5 minutes with ABSOLUTELY NO drying of the polish. The polish looks terrible because it was slapped on as if the contest was to beat the clock--which I guess it was. Along with most people on here, I would NOT recommend this place. I wish the owners would read the reviews so they might take corrective action--I guess they are satisfied with one-and-done customers. There is a much nicer salon across the street, as well as many others in town--I gave them a shot and wish I has stuck to a known quantity. Roll the dice if you must, but I strongly recommend you save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere--this is supposed to be a treat after all. read more

Amazing!! We came to Asheville for a weekend getaway & wanted to start our trip off right with a pedicure, so we just Googled something close by. Walked in the door and we were welcomed immediately! Promptly got our chairs ready & we sat down a minute later! I can honestly say this was one of the most relaxing pedicures I have ever had, and I have had plenty! I went in with a friend to treat her to a "girl's spa day". We both had a pedi and she got acrylic fingernails. I asked for a mani with a buff, no polish. The guy who did mine was unsure about the mani that didn't include polish and basically trimmed my fingernails very sloppily and swiped over them with a buffing pad but didn't do any of the steps included with a mani, yet charged me full price. He also managed to cut one of my toes during the pedi and couldn't get it to stop bleeding for a while. Still, this was better than the treatment my friend received. She messaged me the next morning with pictures of one toe that was red and inflamed to the point that she could not walk or wear shoes comfortably, and two fingers with gashes in them from the tools used at the salon. I was aware from talking to her after the service that the staff had made some errors, but didn't know how serious until she messaged me the next morning in a panic, asking if she should get a tetanus shot and saying she was going to miss a day of work. Our bill was $120 and I tipped each person $10, so I spent $140 in total. (I would have tipped more had the service been better to begin with) When I went in with pictures and talked to the manager (owner?) he grudgingly agreed to refund me $26 but refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing. I will never go back to this place because they are obviously inept and poorly run. Probably one of the worst experiences I have had anywhere. read more

Was in town on vacation and wanted to get my nails done. Worst mani/pedi I've ever had. The technician rushed through my pedicure and ended up painting my toes more than my toenails. Then came the gel mani. Nails were cut so unevenly it's painful, then the technician proceeded to cut my cuticle and draw blood twice and ignored the fact it was bleeding. Finally the technician forgot to do the top coat on my gel nails. It was the sloppiest, most rushed mani/pedi ever. If you want a nice looking lasting Mani/Pedi, DO NOT go here. read more

I needed a fill-in, and since my regular nail tech decided to stop doing nails, I was hoping to find a new place that I enjoyed going. I was excited to find this place, especially since I could book an appointment online in advance. I have acrylics, but I only wanted a pink fill in and nail design, plus an eyebrow wax. My appointment was at 5:45, with estimated time for all services to be completed at 6:45, and I got there a few minutes early. The lady at the desk was very nice and had me check in while she went to get me a binder of color choices, and she offered me a choice of water or wine. That's where the experience went south. I waited 20 minutes, and the lady came back over to tell me and another new arrival someone would be with us shortly. She then asked me again what I was there for. Another 10 minutes passed and one of the techs finally came over to me and motioned for what I needed, and I said, a fill-in and my eyebrows waxed. She said, "No, I don't do that, sorry." Looked at the next customer, who said she needed her eyebrows waxed, and the tech took her back, leaving me to sit there. Another couple of girls came in, one needed a nail repair and another a pedicure, and another tech came over and got the one who needed the nail repair, with me sitting there over 40 minutes by this time. Finally, another tech came over to ask me what I needed, and the lady at the desk said, "She needs, a fill-in, I think. . . " And I finished with, "And nail design and eyebrows waxed." She said, "Oh, I'm sorry, we only have a couple of people who do that, so you will need to be sure to make an appointment." I said, "I did make an appointment, but I didn't know that it had to be with someone specific." She said, "Oh okay, it will be another 10-15 minutes, do you want a pedicure while you wait?" No, I did not want a pedicure, and I told her this and said, I'll just reschedule. She said, let me tell you who to ask for when you come back, and says two or three names. I wasn't listening, because I didn't care, because I'll never be back. I made an appointment, was specific about what I wanted, and they knew what I wanted or they wouldn't have given me the swatches to choose from, so why didn't they tell me then that I might have a wait? This would have been fine, but to have waited patiently the entire time to then be spoken to like I was stupid for being a first time customer and not knowing I had to schedule something as simple as an acrylic fill-in at a NAIL SALON with at least 10 techs working when I was there, was rude and inconsiderate. Then to try to get me to get a pedicure on top of all this, when all I wanted was a fill-in and eyebrow waxing, was unprofessional. After I left, I got an automated text asking me to review them! So here it is. I'm going to tell all my friends and coworkers to not bother with this place. read more
