We left not knowing exactly we were going to get, even kind of nervous. But hopeful at the same time. She was very quick, and we went in for our 1st fitting. My fiancé's jacket and vest looked great, and fit him just about perfectly at the 1st fitting. I must admit I wasn't happy with my dress at all... here's where I went into freak out mode. Yani pretty much told me to trust the process. Since I had never had a custom dress made... i did not trust the process at all. When I came back for the next fitting, I can tell you that all my stress was for nothing. The dress was almost perfect. I was like... YES! This is so much better. By my last fitting the dress was perfect. Absolutely perfect! This past weekend was our wedding. I got so many complements on my dress. It fit perfectly. You can tell it was made just for me. I am very short and it didn't drag the ground at all. At the end of the night, I didn't even want to take it off. I want to wear it again. I'm said that it was just for that occasion. That decision feels both unfair and dismissive of my time and planning. What makes this even more disheartening is that I have family, including my aunt, traveling in from out of town specifically for this appointment. Receiving this type of notice on a Thursday afternoon leaves me with virtually no reasonable opportunity to secure another bridal salon that can accommodate us on such short notice. I took it to Laura's Couture to work magic. Upon shortening the dress, some extra material was used from the bottom to add D cups and make a sweetheart line. I was a little worried it wouldn't look right after such big alterations but they did a wonderful job! I truly felt like the princess I should on my wedding day!! So impressed with the final look. I am still getting compliments from my epic outfit change! I also took my wedding dress here which needed some minor alterations and it turned out perfectly as well of course. They also did my bustle and color coded it for my maid of honor - she was very thankful for that! Laura thinks of it all and does stunning work.
