I was led to believe the replacement part would be OEM, but later learned the parts come through Amazon, not Apple. After the repair, the trackpad no longer worked, even though it worked before. When I asked about it, I didn't receive a clear explanation or solution. Just B.S. and blaming it on us. In my opinion, this business is not equipped to handle Apple repairs, and I would not recommend bringing a MacBook or anything Apple here. We ended up making an appointment to take the computer to Apple directly to resolve the issue, which we wish we had done in the first place. The issue was getting an appointment for repair before I left town. Which is the case now, but it's handled. In law enforcement we have a saying for people like this; "If their lips are moving, they're lying."

Todd charged me $75 to check for malware, nothing was found and nothing had changed when I got it back except the antivirus software was deleted as he thought that was causing the problem. I went back to retrieve a CD he forgot to give me about a week later and asked him if he would be willing to refund me a portion of the $75 as I felt I paid for a service but the problem was not solved. He adamantly refused. He said he worked on it for over 5 hours which I have my doubts about. It may be a communication issue but Office Max got it to work at 100% for $79. He insists that he is right but I felt that I paid too much and he refused to compensate me at all. Today he said he would have done what Office Max did at no additional charge but it's easy to say that when the work was already done.

If you're cool with that type of behavior, have a computer issue that's easy to solve, and lots of time to get it solved, then AIT could be a good fit for you.
