Short story: I paid them $300 to get a gaming PC back up and running. It broke again within a month. Same issue. He agreed to repair it under warranty, but after multiple weeks, and additional expense, they weren't able to fix it. When I lightly pushed back about the delays the owner threw a tantrum and told me to come get my machine but he was only giving me back half the money. I'll spare you all back-and-forth details but scroll through the reviews here and see how he responds to negative feedback. He's dismissive and lacks maturity. That's him. That's what you get. If you're cool with that type of behavior, have a computer issue that's easy to solve, and lots of time to get it solved, then AIT could be a good fit for you. If you want a professional that can confidently solve your issue in a reasonable amount of time, then you might consider other options. Everything was about trying to sell instead of fix, and after admitting the repair wasn't worth his time he became more abrasive, following me out of his hole in the wall shop with its beat up old furniture to continue yelling. Ultimately I just bought a cheap boot drive at Walmart and had Best Buy set it up, all for the same overall cost this guy had reneged on. Growing up, my parents got our family a nice computer and we had tons of photos stored on it. Including ones from milestone moments like weddings, graduations, etc. As we got older, we all started to switch to personal laptops and iPads and had moved the old PC to the shed in my parent's backyard. Over time, I started to miss some of the old photos as we had that PC before the cloud days. After enduring several hot Arizona summers in the shed, I grew nervous that the computer may have become too damaged to retrieve the old photos. I purchased a new power cable, and a VGA to HDMI adapter for me connect it to my current monitor and try to retrieve the old files but had no luck. The computer powered on, but I wasn't able to get it to work with my monitor so I was losing hope on retrieving our old files and photos. This was when I decided to leave it to the pros and reached out to Advanced IT Solutions via Yelp after putting in a job request. Mike had replied back to me and was realistic about the chances of the hard drive still being readable. He was optimistic as the Dell computer my family purchased used really high quality hard drive components. He told me that if I go through them, there is no charge if the hard drive isn't readable and if it is, he told me a flat fee price which I thought was very reasonable compared to the quotes from others (large first hour fee, followed by fees every 15 minutes afterwards, etc.) In the end, he was able to retrieve all the files and photos and placed it on a flash drive for me. He even confirmed to me that the flash drive he gave me is the only other copy as I was a bit weary of there being potential copies of our data going around. My family and I are ecstatic to be able to view these photos again and have already backed them up a couple of times now to be safe. I recently found this IT firm while searching YELP. Our banking accounts were hacked. The bank required us to closed our current accounts and open new ones. They also supinated that our computers be cleaned. We had four computers, two were old and two we used. Advanced IT Solutions wiped clean our old computers and had them recycled. The two active computers were cleaned. Mine had malware. The intruders most likely entered through my wife's email. Mike's education on how to keep our computers clean was outstanding. I highly recommend Advanced IT Solutions and Mike (the owner) for the most professional, respectful, and knowledgeable computer service! I was hacked and witnessed my computer being remotely attacked at 4 am, despite being turned off the night before. In shock, I watched the bright screen for only a minute while a "ghost" scrolled through multiple files with a cursor and opened my bank accounts. I shut it down and unplugged the battery back-up. I reviewed several services for computer repair (large and small businesses) and then called the closest to me. Several businesses were eliminated quickly because they really did not understand what the issue was or they inidcated it would take 3 weeks to get a complete assessment. My call to Mike - who actually answered the phone and listened to my description of the event - was immediately able to reassure me that he had seen this multiple times and described how he would remedy the problem in only a few days, and at a reasonable price. He was the furthest distance from me, but the drive was worth it because he immediately took my 2 infected computers and provided reassurance that was sincere, alleviating my stress and panic mode. Although he said the malware on both computers was "the worst I've ever seen" and extraction of files very difficult, he was able to clean them and reload files, update the operating systems, and add an antivirus program and cleaner for future protection. They were ready to pick up in 2 days! I remain amazed and relieved by Mike's ability, his unrelenting kindness and reassurance. There is no need to worry about turning on my computers now. One word - compassionate. Losing your job sucks. I was wrapped up in a round COVID influenced lay-offs and furloughs earlier this year. My employer did all they could, but it was ultimately a necessary move for the business. They were gracious with their severance which included allowing me to keep the equipment I was using to work from home. The 2016 MacBook Pro I used for work was starting to slow down with all the administrative bloatware on the device. I considered doing a factory reset myself, but was advised against it after another colleague tried it was unable to get past the remote management tools installed by the IT team. I shot Advance IT a message through Yelp and had a response within a few minutes. I gave Mike a buzz and explained my issue. He was empathetic to my situation and confident he could restore the device to out-of-the-box default. He quoted me a very fair price and I dropped the device off later that day. Terrible! I brought my computer into Mike to have him download all of the photos from it it as it was a computer from 2008 and I couldn't turn it in. He told me he was able to download over 350 gigs photos and we scheduled a time for me to pick it up, BUT when I called to confirm I was on my way, he told me it was confiscated by an attorney with a "Judges order" and he told me our business was concluded and hung up on me. I was just trying to explain a problem with my computer when constantly being interrupted by an employee (who would not identify himself) who said that I had no business interrupting his morning coffee (it was 0800 and the business says it is open at 0700).
