Major market looks a lot better than how it was when it was Daniel's. Produce looks a lot better fresh need clean and organized way better than Escondido & Fallbrook. But the checkers seem that they don't care by having their AirPod on including Management (Sherlyn) very unprofessional. If she can't handle being a manager she needs to find a better job customer service isn't for her ! Jack it's very kind he help me find items that I couldn't find. My family and I enjoy shopping here at this grocery store. They have good prices and not too expensive like Vons. On Wednesday they have 10 percent off for people 55 years old and older! They have a great deli too! The produce is fresh and they have a good selection of organic produce. I like their bakery products like the banana and blueberry muffins. They are really good heated up in the morning with tea or coffee. Sometimes I eat one as an evening snack. They have other bakery items to try. Looking forward to trying other fresh items. They also have great soups. I don't remember the brand but the soup had a ton of vegetables and a good amount of chicken but not too much meat which I enjoyed. The cashiers are friendly as well and make small talk with you which is nice. You can tell they have a lot of regular customers who come in often. It's nice when places remember you or your name. They also have a great selection of milk alternatives like soy, oat or almond milk. It's about $6 a carton. They have sales often too. Give them a try it's a nice community grocery store. read more

I always enjoyed Daniel's market and I really enjoy Major market in this location. It has a fantastic selection for such a small footprint of a grocery store. Wonderful, local produce and great local wines and remarkably varied selection in their center aisles. The only thing I would recommend to them is that they train their staff a little bit better on Service instead of just saying "I don't know where that is, or we don't have that item" They need to find out where the item is and not leave it up to the customers to look for it. I think this is just a youth thing and a training thing that can be easily remedied. Overall, I have really nothing bad to say about the store. The staff is incredibly nice and polite! Garbage grocery store. I was hoping that when Majors took over Daniels Market, it would put in some effort to make a beautiful store with healthy food and low prices, but it's actually the same depressing Daniels/Major Market store as the rest. Prices are higher than Vons, Albertsons, and even Sprouts in some cases, with far fewer choices, especially in organics. With the booze up front, you can tell where they make money. The store looks like a Route 66 gas station with broken floor tiles, missing lights, and overweight, grumpy, and inattentive staff. No, thank you. I'll drive further to Temecula or Vista/Oceanside to give my family better food and save money. We deserve better. read more

Worse store ever !! Checkers are slow and they eat while they are checking people out they have their AirPods ! Produce department looks terrible. I asked an employee for help he was tall and on the heavy side he stinks real bad and plus on top of that he had an attitude. I waited in the deli department for couple minutes an elderly lady she sees me and walks away all grumpy. This is a good little market if you need something quick and you do not want to deal with the chaos of a big Supercenter. They are pricier but the convenience makes it worth it. There's always plenty of parking and with it being right off the 76, your in a out super easy. read more

I was so hopeful when I heard we would be getting a new owner at this location . Their prices are high, produce is poor , floor is falling apart and held together by tape. I am happy to spend money for quality . I am not happy when I feel I am being ripped off and they are not doing even necessary safety repairs so people don't trip . I am concerned for the older people in bonsall who go here and pay high prices out of necessity . I used to go to Daniel's but this is a step below even . Trader Joe's please buy this location . Good selection of groceries and other needs, but the best thing for me is the homemade hot soups! I especially like the clam chowder, offered only on Friday. Prices are reasonable too. I went in today 3/24/26 at Bonsall major market around 5. Honestly the "manager" Sherlyn worse employee they're calling her upfront to check cuz they had big lines like 6 times and she won't help out she was too busy talking to this guy & kissing. Formerly Daniel's Marketplace. This review is based on the deli section. It seems new management isn't customer focused. I wanted something from the deli (macaroni salad, etc.), but was told to come back since the female at the counter appeared to be busy. No problem, I could get a few items and come back. I come back and was told to wait another few minutes. I haven't worked in the customer service industry too long, but I was taught that an in-person customer takes priority before phones and any other duties. I decided to get a sandwich instead. Major Market used to be Daniel's if anyone doesn't know this. They still have discounts for Seniors and Military, on certain days. Fresh soups are offered every day, but the clam chowder on Friday is the BEST! Come early, it goes fast. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable if you have any trouble!! They are organizing to make finding items easier. The prices might be a little more, but we save on gasoline, so close to home if you live in the Pala and Bonsall areas. read more

This place has great potential however it is currently old, dirty the shopping carts are very old The staff is in need of training on customer service, not to mention they need major training in how to property load a grocery bag. The last time I was there the young man took NO consideration when packing my $180.00 grocery items, he just dumped and pushed my items in the bag that I brought, he put my fragile items at the bottom of the bags and put heavy items on top, squished the bread and mashed my herbs etc.. We shopped at Daniel's for years and everything has gone downhill since the transition to Major Marketplace. This is the 2nd time in a couple of months that we've gotten gross seafood from them. First it was shrimp and this time the scallops. Overly fishy and clearly past when it should be sold and eaten. They've also tried to sell us bacon that was brown and definitely not ok to cook and eat. Sad since it's the only option right there in Bonsall. read more

Major Market has taken over Daniel's, but it's pretty much the same. I love it when they have sales because the prices are a little high. They have an excellent selection of craft beers that are now in the back of the store. The employees are nice for the most part. The store is old, but it's pretty clean. read more

This store is community focused. Since Major Market purchased Daniels Market I have seen an improvement in the quality and quantity of the products available to customers. The staff is always friendly especially the produce department. They always go out of their way to help and accommodate. I would highly recommend using them as your primary grocery store. read more

Been going to major market for years in Fallbrook & Escondido. Love the deli & meat counter. Everyone is super helpful & they always carry the cookies my husband likes and the English treats etc my English friend likes. All around great place to shop. read more

I moved to fallbrook almost a year ago and started going to majors market at mission and the 76 because it was close to my house. The people working at the store are fantastic. The checkers, meat and deli workers are so helpful and polite. They go out of their way to do a great job and help with any questions. The meat and produce are exceptional. Even though the store is small in comparison to most grocery stores they have everything you need. I love this store and it's employees. read more

Needs a massive upgrade if you are going to charge these prices! Its a little dirty and old looking, ridiculous how limited the selection and variety. 9$ milk in this run down place???
