I was just passing through but I'm so glad I stopped here! The very friendly ladies that own and operate this establishment keep it looking like a members only 5 star establishment. It's so clean and organized - I wish all stores/deli's looked like this!!! The prices are reasonable and as for the food, I tried a breakfast burrito and was not disappointed at all. I recommend if you are in the area that you stop by for any reason at all if even just to be in awe of the setup, but please support these lovely people and purchase something. Ive been here many times, and I still feel compelled to walk down every aisle, every time. Their large selection of grocery items is truly impressive. I still always catch myself saying, they have THAT too?! That includes their beer section. They even have multiple choices for non- alcoholic beer. We found this place a few months ago after realizing we were only a short 10 minute drive from the Hidden Meadows area. Curiously, there are two deli / markets in the same parking lot, and both are great for their own reasons. Their pepperoni pineapple pizza is one of the best ones we've ever had. The sandwiches are all great, but the Meadows Favorite is one of the best (tri tip, bbq sauce, onions) + the Italian is a great cold sub sandwich. They have a lot of wine at this store (aisles and aisles) as well as a lot of International grocery items. Definitely fun to peruse and find some new favorites from all over the world. read more

I wish we lived closer! I would order their breakfast burrito every week! We swung by this place before hitting the road and yelp steered us in the right direction! We also grabbed a margherita pizza for later and it came piping hot. I had called in this order and they had to fire up the pizza oven, so it would be about 15 mins. The market itself also has some super cool european treats and brands, I grabbed some Bounty coconut chocolate bars and a couple others I did not know - fun! This place is an absolute staple of the Hidden Meadows community. I've been getting pizza here for as long as I can remember, and to this day it's still the best pizza I've ever had. There is truly nothing like it. Their sandwiches are incredible! Flavorful, filling, and always a great portion size. And don't even get me started on their breakfast burritos. It's honestly a shame they only serve them until around 10:30-11am, because they're that good. You can really tell they know what they're doing when it comes to solid, house-made, deli-style meals. One of the best things about Meadows Deli Market is the consistency. I can rely on the food being amazing every single time, which is not an easy thing to pull off, and they've absolutely nailed it. The market itself is also great. They have so many options, and I can always count on them when I need something in a pinch. They even have a section dedicated to European and specialty foods, which is always fun to explore. The service is truly outstanding. Everyone is incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional, and there's just a really nice family-style atmosphere when you walk in. It's mostly a grab-and-go type of place, but the care and friendliness always stand out. I mean it when I say nothing compares to this market. The most convenient deli, market, and pizzeria that's amazingly delicious and impressively has so much variety of groceries, beverages, wine collection, and more. We just moved into the neighborhood and this has been our go-to for last minute shopping. We ordered their pizza and the Hawaiian is soooo good! Takes about 20 minutes to make and an easy pick-up on the way home. Today I took my friend visiting from Carlsbad to try out their deli sandwiches for lunch. She was so impressed with the hot and cold sandwich lists. We had the meadows favorite which is tri-tip and hot chicken. Both good but sounded like the tri tip was better. It has a small-town vibe, everyone knows everybody, friendly, and family owned. It reminds me of the mom and pop delis back east in Jersey and New York except this is modern. It's funny because at live at the bottom of the hill at Champagne Village and when my car starts to go up the hill Tafone Frijoles knows Diana is going to give him a piece of turkey and he gets totally excited!!! This review resulted from a pizza check on this Friday eve. We had visited the Side Yard Public House earlier in the day and walked through this and the market across the parking lot. Some interesting findings, including each of the markets, that are within 20 yards of each other, both serve deli-style sandwiches and fresh-baked pizzas, AND even share the same parking spots out front. While we didn't strictly or accurately compare menu to menu, we did notice that one showed a calzone, and another showed delivery service available. So, we made an agreement for the future, that we were going to get a pizza from each market, and compare pizza to pizza. We didn't know it was going to be tonight...the same night. Our son was sent up the hill to buy a pizza from each store. He decided to bring home two small pies from each market. A small supreme (everything) and a small vegetarian from each. That's four pizzas... for three people. We were now eating pizza for several days after. First thing we noticed was the size of the box, hence the size of the pizza from each was obvious at first glance. The smaller box (~ $3 less per pie) had an order receipt taped on it that identified the market from which it was prepared. The other box (larger) was plain white with no identification but contained a significantly larger pie. We guessed the pizza in the white box was about double the size in diameter but only about 1/3 larger (amount of ingredients and dough used). The other pie had a more 'hand tossed' look with a fluffier crust edge. A peek behind the counters in each market revealed what appeared to be a relatively standard pizza oven in each kitchen. The bottoms of each pie confirmed they were not cooked on a belt-drive but that each had its own character of preparation. While some of the visual characteristics of each pie were obvious, there was really only subtle differences in taste, flavor and texture. The crusts tasted almost identical as did the sauces used. They both appeared to use fresh ingredients but the larger pie cut the vegetables smaller and had a more uniform crust edge that made the topping less discernible on the finished product. Bottom line is they were both rather ok pizzas. Neither of the pizzas got our vote for anything better than just a good mark. Plenty of black olives this evening. There are far more delicious pizzas in the area; although given the location, these both serve a distinct purpose for the demographic they attract. I can't say we won't be back. We will probably again be back to compare sandwich menus (look for that review) and have another pie. Other than a good Pizza Hut takeout location at Welk nearby, this place is definitely the closest crafted pie from our location. Keep up the good work. Both stores are good for their purpose. Very friendly staff, good grocery selection (including many international food items) and yummy deli sandwichs.

We love Meadows Deli Market and have been customers of this family run business for as long as we've lived in the meadows. We love their tasty sandwiches- our favorites are the Ultimate Pastrami and the BLT. Another one of our favorites is the burrito (chicken or steak) if you are extra hungry. For pizza we like to order it 'thin crust'. Their breakfast sandwiches and crepes are yummy too (if ordering crepes call ahead). Over the past couple of years they have added a large selection of Eastern European foods. We have enjoyed trying the different sweets and treats. The market also has a decent grocery selection and I can usually find things I need without having to make the trip 'down the hill'. Prices are obviously going to be more than a large chain store, but you are paying for convenience and supporting a small business at the same time.
