Nice 90* pool on a cold and windy June evening. The kids love it!
Courtney C.

Absolutely love the program! We are able to have both kids in lessons at the same time and have an awesome area for the baby to play during it all! We have had super fast communication, great scheduling and awesome friendly faces each time we visit. So very happy with it all. The pool is so cute and has restrooms and changing rooms, plenty of beach chairs for parents and a snack bar. There is also a play area for baby/toddler siblings while they wait. This is the perfect set up for us. And most importantly, my kids love their coaches and want to come, and are learning so much!!!

Great place for a family swim! The pool is on the small side, but that made it easier to keep an eye in my kids and they had a great time.

Brought it to a lifeguard's attention, they literally said "that is his area". We left after this comment. There appeared to be actual feces in the kiddie pool area. Not a just a little. The lifeguards at the diving boards did not ensure that yellow bands were on little kids' wrists. My nephew went over there and was obviously not 12. Nothing done. I took him away and put him where he belonged. I had three kids with me all different ages and heights. Lifeguards need to be lifeguards and not be checking out other teenagers and playing games amongst themselves. It was very obvious. Sad really. Won't be back.

Seems like everyone is following the rules and having so much fun! They will allow you to bring your own food, tables, and chairs in! They have a snack bar that seems to have something for everyone with great prices! The price to get in is so affordable at eight dollars per child. It's the cheapest fun you can have! If you're a parent/caregiver and you want to swim, it will cost you the same but if you just want to go in it, it's five dollars to enter. We typically stay the full rec time that is 3 1/2 hours. We absolutely love it. The splash pad for the younger kids is really awesome with a waterslide that's perfect for youngsters! That waterslide is so much fun and these little ones have a blast! I highly recommend!

TLDR: stay clear of this place, unless you like paying thousands for glorified day care…read more UPDATE - response to owner's (Cheronda A.) reply to this review: Hi Cheronda, I already did exactly what you suggest, before leaving this review I reached out to you directly to raise my concerns, which you refused to address after which you ended our conversation by writing quote; "There will be no further correspondence on this matter.", which now results in your incongruity between your private and public communication being on public display. Original review: British Swim School's Vallejo location, run by Cheronda A. and team, advertise their program as being able to "instilling water survival skills that save lives". After 17 months (64 lessons) and $2500 down the drain, we pulled our son from this program due to it being more akin to an aquatic day care (with you as the parent remaining present) than a swim program. The people at the school are nice enough interpersonally, but these are the red flags to notice: - After an initial few weeks you stop getting feedback, which when given is always verbally and never through skill progress item in the British Swim School's app. If you challenge the owner (Cheronda A.) on this, you will be gaslighted in there being more feedback than there actually is, and that it is their policy to only give verbal feedback versus using the app for what it is intended. - You'll notice your child will have many different instructors throughout lessons, with great variety as seniority as instructors. - You're paying about $40 for a 30min session, but on avg. there are 4 kids per classes, meaning even if you round up that's $40 for 10 minutes of instruction, as in the 64 "lessons" we paid for equates to having paid $2500 for less than 11 hours of instruction. - The lessons are utterly simple snd repetitive, and not lessons at all, the same 4 simple things are just endlessly repeated without any coaching or guidance from the instructors towards the child as to what to do different or how to improve. - The final straw, when you confront them on the inadequacies listed above, they will a) gaslight you in terms of feedback cycles, but much much worse, b) blame the lack of results on your child. In summary, this school will happily take your money for providing very little, and in terms of practical outcomes are operating in opposition of their mission statement.

They helped my four-year-old granddaughter overcome her absolute fear of getting into the pool. Within minutes, Will and Gwynn coaxed her in and the next thing you know she is laughing and playing games. She has progressed beautifully into the starfish float, a lifesaving skill and will continue until she can swim on her own. She loves it and all of the swim instructors are kind, patient, professional and fun. I think Gwynn's singing the ABC's to her to time the starfish float helps her hang in there! Will is amazing too. His skilled, encouraging and gentle guidance has Naomi comfortable and happy. They even provide written updates on your child's progress. The facility is also beautiful and in a great location! We joined post pandemic shut down, so there are a lot of extra machines because they had to close a few clubs last year. Because of only outdoor workouts for part of 2020, they use these extra machines outside. They happen to be staged around the pool. Regardless of all the extra equipment on the deck, it is really inviting! Most of the chairs and tables are put up because the machines are there, but for some reason I feel like it is still a place you could hang out. The furniture that is there is comfortable. Most people that come to the gym want to use the machines and the weights. The pool is not necessarily booked to where you feel crowded. Reservations are required still, but it's not difficult to make a reservation. We have worked out during the day and at night. It's really lovely at sunset. Have not used the indoor pool. We joke and say we are going to "the club" because after our swim, sometimes we take a dip in the hot tub, the steam room or the sauna. But to top it all off we always grab a massage chair. Staff is friendly, very clean, open and airy, new. All in all, I love going there.

One needs to be in tune with crowd patterns, otherwise you can kiss off getting your workout done in a timely, focused manner. I don't think there's a cap on number of memberships. Channel receptivity on the treadmills can be hit and miss. Frustrating! I consistently see certain machines (weight) used to simply "park it," get on one's cell...for sometimes extended periods of time. Aforementioned issues have been shared in person and via membership APP, but strategies to resolve/reduce are still not in place. Gym isn't my home; I have one. Given cost of living in Napa, including inflation, I find demographic make-up interesting including timing of their usage. Before you join, see if you can get some passes. Go during crowded times--that way you'll get the full picture. I can now see why there's a movement toward more personalized, specialized gyms--it's tempting. Parking is okay.
