My 6yr old daughter benefited greatly from the yoga classes as did my 2yr old son from the sign language classes.

They create a space where children can explore, get messy, build confidence, and simply be kids. One of my favorite things about Little Wonders is the sense of connection. I've watched friendships grow not only among the children, but among the parents as well. Parenting can feel isolating at times, and having a community of people who are going through similar stages of life has been invaluable. The play-based philosophy is something I love. There is no pressure, no rush, and no expectation for children to be anything other than who they are. Instead, they are given the time, space, and support to learn through play, curiosity, and building relationships. For me, Little Wonders has become so much more than a children's program - it's a community that has brought joy, support, friendship, and wonderful memories!

We do not have family in the Bay Area but coming to class every week made us feel surrounded by non-judgemental family ready to support us in every challenge. To me, joining Little Wonders became an opportunity to consult with child development experts uniquely qualified to understand children and their needs and help parents develop tools to raise socially and emotionally competent kids. Thanks to teacher Lisa and teacher Suzanne, I learned that my two year old was not bossy or defiant, but rather she needed to assert herself in a world she had barely any control over through all the sensorial and physical changes she was going through. I also learned to strike a balance between a permissive approach and an authoritative one. I learned to replace all those "be careful" every time my hyperactive son was trying something new (and dangerous) for "what is your plan?". Looking back, Little Wonders has helped me become the more aware, empathetic parent that I am today thanks to all the fact-based guidance through all the parents discussions, play sessions and the strong sense of community. I still remember one moment that captured that community spirit: when our family came down with Covid and a family we met there brought food to our door. If you live in the Peninsula, I would highly recommend asking for a trial class.

Through her modeling and clear explanation I learned to observe my child and quiet my thoughts so that I could better understand what he was working on in each moment. I also learned about how to be with children using the RIE approach, which offers nuanced, practical ways to show young children respect and care. In the years following our time together, when encountering a parent hurdle, I often thought to myself "What would Jennifer suggest here?" Her guidance went beyond infancy and toddlerhood and helped me support my child with patience and curiosity. Now I have a second son and we have begun attending her classes again. It is such a treat for me and baby to be in her beautifully curated space. Every toy and piece of furniture is developmentally appropriate and thoughtful of the children in the room. Her approach with both adults and children is gentle, open and supportive. She has played a big role in my parenting journey and I recommend her classes to any parent who wants to become closer to themselves and their children. Thanks so much for all the wisdom and care!

We are the OG mindful and conscious parenting program that guides you to develop your own personal parenting style and meet the needs of your baby, yourself, and your family. The RIE approach is considered best practice in infant/toddler care and has been made popular by RIE Parenting blogger Janet Lansbury. Our infant/toddler parenting classes include: RIE Before Baby (a newborn care class for expecting parents), and RIE Parent-infant classes (a playgroup) for parents with their babies or toddlers. Using the RIE Educaring approach developed by Magda Gerber, you will learn to observe and understand your baby's cues so you can respond in a way that builds security and trust. You'll recognize their strengths and capabilities and learn how to support their ongoing growth in all areas -- gross and fine motor, cognitive and social/emotional as well as attitudes toward living and learning. You'll learn more about infant/toddler development and gain support in problem-solving typical parenting challenges in the early years. This is a mommy & me play group that builds confidence, and allows you to enjoy your baby most of all. Becoming part of Dream Xtreme Allstars has been one of the best decisions we've made for her. The benefits of her involvement extend far beyond the mat. Since joining Dream Xtreme, I've seen remarkable growth in her confidence and self‑esteem. She carries herself with more pride, believes in her abilities, and isn't afraid to challenge herself. The sense of accomplishment she feels after mastering a skill or performing with her team shows in every aspect of her life--at school, at home, and in how she interacts with others. What truly sets Dream Xtreme Allstars apart is the coaching staff. The coaches don't just focus on performance, they genuinely care about their athletes as individuals. They invest time in understanding each child's strengths, supporting them through challenges, and encouraging personal growth. The positive reinforcement, structure, and accountability they provide have helped my daughter develop resilience, discipline, and a strong work ethic. Dream Xtreme Allstars has created a supportive, uplifting environment where athletes are encouraged to be their best selves--physically, mentally, and emotionally. I am incredibly grateful for the role this program has played in shaping my daughter into a more confident, motivated, and empowered young person. I wholeheartedly support Dream Xtreme Allstars and the meaningful impact they continue to make in the lives of their athletes and families.

Unfortunately, over time, she lost interest and no longer wanted to go because she didn't feel supported by her new coach, Kyile. I hope she finds a gym where the coaches encourage, support, and believe in their athletes so she can fall in love with gymnastics again and regain the confidence she once had.

I had complete confidence that Thrive had our best interests at heart every moment my wife and son were in their care. As usual, they practiced informed consent, validation of experiences, and love to a degree that I have never seen or even dreamed of previously in health care settings. The highlight of this birth experience was (of course) the birth itself. This time we were graced with three of the midwives through good fortune. Again, immediately after birth, our newborn struggled to take his first breaths. We waited about 8 minutes for him to take that first breath, and yet, my wife, daughter, son and I were all calm and felt immensely supported in that moment by the three women in our presence who absolutely knew what their calling was and what their roles were in that moment. It is hard to comprehend how different that experience could have felt from a sterile, medical, environment of a hospital, and how different our newborn's first few minutes, hours, and days after birth could have been. Not to mention how the perception and feelings surrounding births could have been malformed for our young son and daughter. We are so immensely thankful to have this collective of women in Sonoma County who are such a breath of fresh air!
