Just a little bit of disappointment right on the word " Park" Engraver Rose explained that the item was on sale and already came with defects to begin with However, Heads-up prior engraving would be nice, so we can rearrange the wording to at least avoid the defect area. Stunning work! Although the shop (in Halawa area) has plenty of products to choose from for engraving, I had a particular idea of what I wanted to present my retiring colleague and so brought in a charcuterie board for engraving. Marie was wonderful and offered suggestions & made sure I had drafts to choose from. I was amazed at the quick turn around from the time I approved of the project to the time it was ready. My first time ordering from here after having ordered elsewhere. I figured I would try this kiosk store since it was closer and available for my order. I was looking for a couple farewell gifts for military members and chose the battle axes at $155 each. Not cheap but it's a great gift. The rep took my order and told me to email the proposed text to their account. I received an auto-reply that it was received. I believe it was going to take 7 business days so I told the rep I would plan my farewell luncheon for the following day after pickup. I get an email the day before pickup to confirm the design and wording, followed by voice mails that she is behind and would have it ready for pickup on Thursday as requested. Thursday comes and it's not ready. Friday afternoon I get a voice mail that they know my order is late and need me to call and confirm my order. I guess it's a good thing I didn't put my trust in this business to have my order ready as they mentioned, and instead I planned the luncheon for the following week. I received no compensation or sympathy in return for their lack of organization. The products were very nice...no complaints. It just seemed like there was no urgency to meet the timeline which could have been really bad if I had the farewell luncheon and no gifts to present. I'm not sure I have the confidence to use this company again. read more

Makemake Makana @ NEX. (5 stars). I wanted to make a plaque as an appreciation to a club on base (Pearl Harbor). I had walked by Makemake Makana @ NEX many times before and had admired the wood spears and paddles! So when the time came I knew exactly where I wanted to go. This kiosk and the people that work here are very patient and friendly. There is a rush fee of $20 that helps during certain times of the year like the Holiday Season!! There is also a $10 fee for each coin you want to "embed" in your plaque or wood piece. This is the pick up station for those who can't make it to the warehouse located in Halawa. The kiosk has later hours which helps a lot for those who work late. The delivery time is always after 15:00 daily. When you place your order you will be asked to give a "code" word. This code word will be used to track your order and also if you are sending a design or idea via email. This kiosk is definitely a great central place for anyone to park and pick up their order!! Note: This kiosk is located on the bottom floor of the NEX and you DO NOT NEED A MILITARY ID to purchase or pick up your items!! I ordered a plaque and noticed that the hanging metal piece was screwed in on the wrong side. The lady tried in vain to take the metal piece out and put it on the correct side (i.e. My plaque would be hanging upside down if I hung it up). She finally said to go to the warehouse in Halawa and also returned my rush fee which is why I was OK with giving this place 5 stars. I know it wasn't her fault and she was trying but it just so happened that the owner was still at the warehouse at 19:30 that I could get my plaque fixed! This is the same business as the one in Aiea and from the looks of the reviews on here, timeliness is and was always an issue. Since their Aiea shop closes on the weekends, they offered to have us pick up our engraved flask here. See my full review of the other location. Great pricing and a lot of options for engravings, but they need work on customer experience and product details. read more

I ordered a custom-made engraved board for my buddy who is leaving Hawaii for other job in England. The board is supposed to be ready on 26rd May after waiting for two more weeks, but someone texted me informing the board could be ready on 28th. However the board was never made even on the day my buddy left the island, 28th May. I am not the only customer treated this way, the clerk told me. People order boards for specific moments and events to the ones we want to present. This engrave store never takes the promises seriously. Out of my terrible experience, I never recommend it. Unless you want waiting for two more weeks and get texts saying your board will be ready soon and NEVER GET YOUR BOARD. read more
