I love Maker Pizza and have endless great things to say about them! Let's get started! First off, I didn't even know that every Thursday they have slices for only $3.75 - what a steal! This includes the pepperoni, cheese, Frank's best, and spicy vodka pepperoni. Service here is super friendly, the spot is clean with staff constantly wiping tables and the floors during the winter time. I got a whole dr. pepperoni slice with extra cheese and it came piping hot, cooked perfectly and so delicious. Also got slices of their spicy vodka which is my favourite and a full 5/5 for me. Frank's best is a great change in flavour with goat cheese, mozz, caramelized onions, rosemary, organic honey and a sesame crust. Don't forget to also get their spicy creamy garlic dip and mix it well! Overall, I love this spot and think their pizzas are so good! This is the second location for Maker Pizza. One of the partners of the business is Matty Matheson. Menu is primarily pizza and also wings. Small selection of dessert items. Pizzas come in 12 (4 slices) and 16 inch (8 slices). There is also a square pizza called a Tavern Cut. Pizza is on the more expensive side. We order a 12 and 16 inch with 1 dipping sauce and the bill was over 70 bucks with tax. We got takeout so no eating in. Pizza was ordered online and picked up. What was ordered: 16 inch Fred's Best - white pizza with béchamel sauce, goat cheese, caramelized onions with a sesame coated crust attached with honey 12 inch Dr.Pepperoni - fresh tomato sauce with generous topping of pepperoni 1 spicy creamy garlic dip The verdict? The crust was decent and pizzas are thin. We did find both pizzas a little too greasy for our preference. The flavour of Fred's Best was a combination of sweet from the honey and caramelized onions and salty from the cheese. Dr. Pepperoni was better with spicy kick from the chunks of tomatoes and pepperoni. Salty is the other descriptor I would use. Would we order again? Maybe. Catching up on reviews from a pizza tour of Toronto I started a few weeks ago. Ordered Tropic of Thunder love the spicy sweet flavour with the pineapple, pickled onions and Thai chillies. I got them to add olives which makes for a sweet, spicy and salty bite. Also got a got their Margherita pizza which was also very good. Margherita was very good but loved the Tropic of Thunder with olives. Also highly recommend the garlic dip and the spicy garlic dip. The spicy garlic is seriously spicy so be careful. read more

Maker Pizza serves delicious slices, although a tad overpriced. The location is spacious, with a clean and well-lit interior, and there is always plenty of parking. My fav is the tropic thunder, sweet heat with a good kick coming from the pickled onions. Also love that they do special flavours now and then. Korean fried chicken pizza mmmmm (please bring it back!). Frank's best is also a good choice, but sometimes I find the onions a bit slimy and there's nothing to cut the grease. Now onto what I dislike about this location. Somehow, heating up a single slice takes foreverrr! Why?! Service is sooo slow. Who on earth ends up wasting a whole lunch hour for a single slice of pizza, that's supposedly "fast" food? I first thought it was just that day, but nope, slow any time I've been by. read more

Finally found my favorite pizza joint in Markham. Went on "National Pie day" where slices were only $3.14 (nice play on words). Warning- if you grew up on Pizza hut, Pizza Pizza. Domino's, Papa John's or any other generic pizza chain, you will be severely disappointed. No globs of stringy flavorless cheese, sweet tasteless tomato sauce and spongy soggy doughy crust, bye bye Felicia. My dearest pizza lovers, we are talking top quality pizza ingredients here, no joke. Got the basic cheese slice, didn't want any add-ons to distort the flavor profile. YOLO'd it and also got the pepperoni vodka sauce slice. After about 15min wait. The slices finally arrived. They were getting slammed, lines of people waiting for their slices/pies. Got bad as some people were waiting over 45mins for their orders. One thing I didn't like was that they sprinkled parmesan cheese (at least I think it was parmesan cheese) on both slices. It added to the flavor profiles but it really wasn't necessary, some people may like it. I don't. Both slices were on the thin side but packed with flavor. The rich tomato sauce profile came through with a nice balance/ratio to the cheese. Some like globs of cheese on their slice, I prefer a balance between the cheese and tomato sauce. The vodka sauce on the pepperoni slice was excellent and had a nice spicy kick to it. Both slices might be considered on the salty side (for those who are sensitive to salt), this coming from the richness of the cheese and especially from the pepperoni. Nice flavourful crust, good quality sauce, and the perfect amount of cheese. Im going to come back and get a full pizza next time for my family. I couldn't be happier when the team from Maker's Pizza decided to open up in my neighborhood! I love using their app for easy online ordering. You can see their full menu, as well as current offers/deals, and pay through there to either place an order for ASAP or scheduled for later, via pickup and/or delivery! This visit, I saw there was a promotion for a 12" pie plus a dip and drink for $25, so I went with Frank's Best, their garlic dip, and a Nestea. I also couldn't resist to get three of their Burnt Marshmallow cookies. Frank's Best was loaded with caramelized onions, goat cheese, grass-fed mozzarella, and rosemary, making it such a flavorful pie, you don't even need a dipping sauce to pair. Despite the use of sea salt on this as well, it's actually quite sweet. To finish, they brush the crust with organic honey and sesame seeds. I love the chew on the crust and it's slightly crispier exterior. Now, I did say you don't "need" a dip to pair but their garlic dip is a must try! It literally tastes as if there's an entire garlic in this 4 oz dip, making it so good. I always save up any leftovers to use in wraps/sandwiches I make at home later in the week. It adds so much flavor and goes with everything! As for the cookies - these might not be well-known yet, but I can't gatekeep these! They're a little doughier on the inside but have a crunchy exterior. The melted marshmallows on these make them elite! They are quite sweet but I love 'em and grab them when I want to indulge. Not the mention, their size! I couldn't be happier when the employee told me upon pick up that he gifted me an extra cookie. Why? I don't know but I didn't question it! Pick up at the restaurant is super easy and efficient. Service is also friendly and efficient. I love that for takeout orders, they keep the pies in a warmer until you arrive and all dips/drinks/cookies are packaged in a eco-friendly paper bag for easy transport. You're welcome to help yourself to paper plates and (good quality) napkins which are placed on the counter. The place at a glance every visit is well-kept and clean. Definitely not your average pizza. Great tasting pizza, from crust to quality of toppings and the unusual combinations of flavour you can experience. I loved it but my kids are not fans, probably due to their undeveloped taste buds. Would be 5 stars , but value for dollar isn't what I expected. I expect to pay more for quality but I just can't justify spending that much more on a regular basis, but I definitely will continue to spoil myself now and then. read more

First time going to this chain (4 locations). Did takeout. It took about 20 minutes for my custom large 4 topping pizza. Topping are usually the same across all pizzas. What makes a pizza great is their sauce and crust. Maker's sauce is smooth and nicely spiced and the crust although thin, the exterior is fluffed, light and crispy. Outstanding. They don't skimp on the toppings either. The pizza was filled with the 4 toppings. Only negative was that they had no hot peppers (jalapeños instead) and no onions. So here's the deal. I've been coming to the Vaughan location for over a month now and about twice a week for their slices. This last time i order my typical pepperoni and margarita slices and the guy behind the counter tells me they don't have margarita slices. So I ask ... Are you saying you will no longer be having margarita slices or are you saying you ran out of them today. He responds by saying that they have never had margarita slices - only pepperoni. I explain to him that I have ordered them here many times and that he was always the person serving me. He starts arguing with me saying that they have never had them since he has started working her and that I must be confused. I explain to him that my daughter is a vegetarian and that it would be impossible for her to eat pepperoni. We have taken them to go and we have sat down and eaten them in the establishment. Very good friendly service. Interesting crust, very thin with thicker edges, with stretchy texture reminiscent if Persian sangak. Ordered the Dr. Pepperoni with upgrade to everything seed crust. I found the pepperoni a bit salty and oily but that is a characteristic of this type of pepperoni. The sauce was very good, homemade. I just think for the price it wasn't enough food, however they have a following that will pay the price, so why not. I will probably try one of their other pies. read more
