Beer @MakersAlleyDelaware! Cool place & a good burger!

A really nice downtown Wilminton addition! A small-ish but very indoor bar and heaps of outdoor seating, with a fire pit & games. Excellent beverage selection. Orders may be given at the bar or via app or tablet. The food selection is a wee bit limited, but the burger I got was quite good. No way on the tablet to indicate degree of done-ness (at least that I could find). Service was good for a Friday after 5:00. Plesant vibes & lively place! I'll be back!

We were in town from Phoenix and just wanted to have some good beers and a snack. Hidden little nook with cool outdoor patio/food truck. Great selection of taps and cans/bottles. Actually had 2 amazing stouts we had never tried before and the oversized bacon/cheese/chives tater tots were bomb with a perfect ranch for dipping. Larry was slinging our drinks and definitely made us feel welcome and wanted us to have a good experience.

Makers Alley is a fun new addition to the downtown Wilmington scene. The beer garden/bar quietly opened just off of Market Street within the past few weeks and boasts a gorgeous outdoor space with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs set up among heating units and fire pits. They also have a small bar inside of a converted garage, which allows them to open/close the door to connect their two spaces. It was a chilly fall evening when we visited, so we chose a spot inside, though the garage door was open for the earlier part of our visit. The bar had around 2 dozen beers on tap (and one tap dedicated to a cocktail!) and offered $1 off all the drafts for their 4-6PM happy hour. Their menu includes a handful of wines as well, and they did have liquor behind the bar but I didn't catch if they had a specific cocktail menu. Food-wise, they offer a variety of bar snacks, sandwiches, and tacos. The menu is displayed on a roll of paper mounted on the wall, which suggests it gets rewritten and potentially rotates frequently. You order your food from a tablet at the bar and then pick it up from the mobile kitchen outside. We tried the pretzel bites, which had a delicious garlic butter brushed onto them and came with a yummy cheese sauce, as well as the parmesan tater tots, which were standard --- good but not mind-blowing. There are TVs at the bar if you're looking for a place to watch a game, and they also had board games on hand. There is a parking lot across the street, but I am not sure of the fees because we opted for street parking (free after 6PM).

Band, tables and greenery, what a fun vibe!

Love this place! It's a bar with an outdoor space that is inviting and comfortable. There are adroniak chairs with a fire pit, long picnic tables for groups, small tables and bar seating. The music is good with a decent level, so you can still talk. The band x-presidents was amazing. They were fun, interactive and played great music most of the night. I would come back again to hear them, and to enjoy the fun vibe. Nowadays people want to be able to converse and feel comfy while having good food and drinks. This place met that standard. The fish tacos were deliscious and a little on the spicy side (there was an option to not not have spicy aioli sauce but I decided to try it). Drinks were great! I tried the strawberry vodka, lime, lemon and sprite drink and it was refreshing. Will definitely be back.

Cool bar with a great beet list. Ideal in warmer weather, but plenty of fire pits for the cooler weather.

We arrived at about 5:30 in the afternoon and it was already crowded. We had to park a couple blocks away, but the weather was nice and cool, so we didn't mind. There was no cover charge, despite a band playing. The band was called The Jimmies, and they played music from the 80s (A Flock Of Seagulls, Billy Idol, Springsteen, Prince, etc.). Although I didn't eat, I noticed they had food for sale (burgers, hot dogs, chicken, etc.). An extensive craft beer selection both on tap and in cans was also offered. I had the Dale's Pale Ale from Oskar Blues brewery and the Hazy-O from Dogfish Head brewery. Both were pretty good. The place was pretty big with lots of tables. In the center were people playing corn hole. There was a sand area for kids to play (beach theme?). Once the sun went down, lights hanging from rope above us were turned on, creating a nice ambiance. For a city that doesn't have much (this came from people who live there, not me), this was a nice way to spend a Saturday night.

We will not be returning unless they accommodate more for families. There is unused space that they could easily put a child's sandpit or even some play stuff. Really disappointed we made the trip out here. We also found scrap metal in the sand area.

Set in a snuff mill built in 1901, there's plenty of history to explore at this former manufacturing site. The brewery is located on the second floor of this family run spot with plenty of seating inside or out. We had the friendliest bartentder walk us through the beer options & quick history of the site and headed back downstairs to enjoy our brews in the spring sunshine. There's plenty of tables (with umbrellas for shade!) on the patio and some additional tables tucked underneath the small tree grove having the stage. There wasn't a food truck but judging from the table next to us, feel fee to bring your own picnic. The space inside is small and cozy, and the space outside is large and spectacular. Several tables, an outdoor bar, a huge lawn for cornhole and other games. The outdoor area alone seems worth the visit. It was a freezing cold March day so we spent all of our time inside. My girlfriend and I each tried a few different beers, including a porter, a brown ale, and an IPA. All were excellent. I love any brewery where the staff talk to you like old friends, and this was that kind of place. We made friendly conversation with the bartender and shared stories about the brewing scene in Delaware, his background, and our own experience with breweries in NJ where we are from. Wonderful hospitality. Due to the size of the brewery, they only had about eight beers on tap. Their mainstays are the Nit Wit (Belgian witbier) and the Hopworts Express (IPA), but beyond that they are unable to list on their website what beers are on tap, so you'll just have to be surprised when you show up. They don't seem to have any beers to sell to go, either. Overall a great place that we would definitely return to!

Perfect for meeting friends having a gathering we're just having dinner on a business trip. There's an above average beer offering as well as a full bar. The person taking my order didn't seem familiar with the menu, which was surprising for a place focused on something as straightforward as pizza. It took quite a while for the pizza to be assembled before making it to the oven. After ordering, I waited nearly 40 minutes, which I had buyer's remorse, considering I could have just ordered two pre-made slices and heated them up. Bardea was able to get an order in and out in like 10 minutes. Even weirder, comes the confusing part after Angelo's takes the pizza out of the oven. Twice, the pizza made it to a box, where employees stood over it, seemingly unsure of what to do. They appeared to be discussing it and even taking photos while the pizza just sat there getting cold, for several minutes. Is this an Instagram moment? I genuinely had no clue what was happening. By the time I finally received my order, the pizza was luke warm and the whole experience was frustrating. I have no interest dealing with whatever was happening here. I hope they work out the kinks of whatever the heck was going on at this place.
