Wanted to try a local brewery and found this place. It's a CB little hard to find. Off the beaten path. But GPS will guide you right there. Just trust your GPS especially when the road seems like it might not be right. Once we parked we found the place to be really fun. Good beers on tap, friendly service, lots of big social tables, and nice outdoor seating too. We only had time for one beer. But this place has good vibes and if I were local it'd probably be a regular stop for me. They have lots of games to play to pass the time while enjoying your fresh cold brews. Came for the food truck, stayed for the brews. I've always visited the coffee shop in this plaza but never realized this place existed on the other side ! There's a ton of outdoor seating which is nice, I opted to sit inside because it started to shower a bit. The staff was really pleasant! You basically walk up, place your order and voila ! Beer. I liked that I could choose my own adventure with the flights: you can do up to 5 but I chose 3 just to try: ciderosa (watermelon cider), ten speed (Radler) and synonym (German style Pilsner). Ten speed is amazing ! A blend of pink lemonade and strawberry lemonade. I took some home with me as they sell canned ones. Synonym was very light, didn't have much going on taste wise and ciderosa was sweet and easy going down. Inside is small but cozy, loved the decor and cleanliness. They have a tv so you can watch the game (if there are any going on) but I wouldn't call it that type of place. I would love to go back ! Maybe I'll try the pizza place next door as well! Great Beer. Terrific Cider. Confusing system. Not all beers they make are for sale in cans (growlers available). So come on in and use the QR code and try to order. Oh, you can't. That's right. A waiter will come and take your order. Still, restauranting shouldn't be hard or confusing. Did I say restaurant? No food here. People brought in pizzas and meatballs from next door. But the synergy isn't easy (I had three beer samples-do I leave them here to get a pizza? I need very explicit instructions. Turntable Tuesday is all about vinyl. Stopped in with a friend of mine while my boyfriend was working nearby. It was a great find checking this place out. We were taken care of by Derek who walked us thru the different options for brews. We decided to take on the menu with a flight each pretty much drinking the meal between the two flights. A couple of light summer drinks like a radler and sours along with a sour milkshake with fruit flavors like coconut, lime, and strawberry. The atmosphere is gorgeous with indoor and outdoor seating with tons of natural light that brightens up the whole building. You can see yourself enjoying some drinks while chatting with friends or getting caught up with work. With a dangerous combination of an Italian restaurant next door, you can bring a meal to enjoy while sipping on your brews. I'll be coming back with a growler and some more company to enjoy the drinks. Hope to be here on a night there was a couple of events and music. read more

WBW remains my favorite local brewery, and I have to give them kudos for adapting well in the face of the COVID pandemic. They have been following restrictions appropriately, the friendly staff is always masked, and the tables are appropriately spaced. They have really expanded their outdoor seating options, featuring a variety of picnic tables, cozy patio sets for two, and adirondack chairs. Additionally, they have been offering online ordering for growlers, crowlers, and more recently, canned options of their beers, allowing for easy pick-up to enjoy WBW at home. Since my original review, WBW has greatly expanded their creative beer offerings. I love a good sour beer, and their Duvette and Par Avion series are delicious. We literally purchased one of their growlers to use every time Par Avion Pineapple Cream comes back on tap --- it is one of my all-time favorite beers with the perfect blend of pineapple and vanilla. They've also had some excellent IPAs recently, including the ode-to-Biden Railcar One and the tropical Postcards to Paradise. Their Irish stout, Bricfeasta Indiscretion is really good, and we were thrilled to find somewhere offering a stout with a lower ABV for those days you want something lighter. read more

Cool atmosphere just a short drive from downtown. It's in a quiet area with tons of seating. Bring your own food because they don't sell food. They weren't my favorite but they weren't terrible. Our server was fantastic and really made sure to take care of us. Everyone was very friendly and made our experience better. I'm probably a bit snobby about craft beers because I've lived in the mecca of micro breweries. This place is excellent. The only reason I don't Give it 5 stars is that it's pricey and I always leave having spent a little too much on a little too little. So, buyer beware: TOTALLY worth it, but let it be a treat/special occasion...or: come with cash and leave the credit card at home...ha. THe brewmasters make new beers constantly, so be prepared to spend some time with the menu. They've made some excellent brews in the short time that they've been open. I love that they allow dogs (I am a dog owner), but I've also experienced really annoying customers that bring unsocial dogs and think it's great that they can sit and drink while their dogs bark incessantly at every other person with a dog there (I've never actually brought my dog, so I'm not fronting like my dog was the problem and I'm blaming someone else). read more

A great spot for Delaware! The beer was pretty good. There were a handful of average brews and a couple of really good brews. We grabbed 2 crowlers after our flights to take home. Everything was reasonable. The day that we went there was a food truck: Dump N Roll. I'm glad for that because we were all a bit hungry. The bar was an interesting set up. You stand in line and order at the register. I'm not sure I like that set up much. If I wasn't with my family, I would have loved to belly up to a bar. The atmosphere was quite lovely. Food - There were two food trucks when we visited this afternoon. Which is a great selection for a brewery with a variety of food from pizza to fried food. Beer - Wilmington Beer Works is one of a kind because it's not your typical brewery full of IPAs, Pale Ales and Ambers.. they had lots of different concepts like dopplebocks, sours, hybrids and they use a variety of hops and brewing methods. New beer hall that just opened in Wilmington Delaware. The place has community seating with an odd way to order beer. There isn't a bar. There is a cashier that you wait in line. You order and then take a seat. You then go back up and get your alcohol especially if there is alot of people with a wait. The process is awkward especially if you want a second round...you need to get back in line again. We ordered a flight. The beer was not extraordinary. Went here a few weeks ago with 3 other people to have a couple beers and watch a comedy show. Overall I really enjoyed it here - service was great and the atmosphere was really cool. The reason I didn't put 5 stars is because to me the beer and cider was just ok. I tried 2 beers and 3 ciders and all 3 ciders just tasted a bit odd. One in particular which I unfortunately can't remember the name of was undrinkable. The beer was better but not remarkable. I'd still go back though because I enjoyed the vibe and they have a lot of cool events. It sounds like they change the beers often so I'd like to try something new, maybe I picked the wrong things. read more

Wilmington Brew Works has an awesome setup with outdoor seating and indoor space. There are Adirondack style chairs, firepits, and space to spread out. I visited on a Saturday and was able to pickup my order quickly. The staff was busy but friendly. I am looking forward to coming back and sitting outside with a cold drink. There was a bbq food truck onsite and the brew works shares a building with a pizza place. It is across the street from a park. The style is a Spanish looking building with a chill and social vibe. The owners seem approachable and outgoing. They did a zoom tasting a few weeks ago which was fun and a different way of getting to know more about the process, the equipment, the people and the beer. They had a fun food pack and beer that you picked up before the event. The presentation was well organized and packed with fun info. read more

Finally got a chance to come here and am so glad I did! I've lived in Wilmington for about a year and a half now and have been curious about this spot. My husband and I got an opportunity to go out sans child and wound up here. We both had flights and were soo happy with them. The ciders I had were all amazing. And there was the most scrumptious dessert stout on as well. Can't wait to return here either to drink in or to take out. Another 1 of the 5 was poor enough to not even want to finish it Atmosphere and decor on the inside is extremely nice and very cool, but the beer unfortunately not so much. We have been here three times now and have loved it each time. We got flights on two occasions to try some new beers. We have been to several local breweries in the area and both agree these are the best local beers we've tasted. Last night there was a taco truck outside. We ordered nachos and brought them in. They were delicious and the process was seamless. I love the interior of the tasting room, it feels spacious without being cavernous and clean without being cold. Imagine the perfect brewpub, that is what this establishment is. They have a constantly changing menu of over a dozen of the best tasting brews in the area, many styles to choose from: German style beers, IPAs and various ciders, etc.. It is family friendly place and they have hand crafted sodas for non-drinkers and kids. Relaxing and laid back atmosphere, I could stay here all day. Two warnings: they have no kitchen, but 90% of the time some yummy food truck is parked outside or the pizza place is open. So, If you're coming here to eat, check their calendar. Your growlers must be clean and in good condition or they won't refill them, no screw caps or advertising for other breweries. read more

Literally the BEST thing that has happened to Wilmington, Delaware in years! I cannot speak more highly of this awesome establishment. My husband, cousin and I had the pleasure of attending one of the first "flights of discovery" events and we were so impressed! We have been back multiple times and always have such an enjoyable time. The brewery doesn't offer a food menu however, there are always awesome food trucks parked right out back. I bought a glass and hat from the brewery store and love love love both! I am so glad to see this historic building be put to good use. Awesome brewery. It's very large, feels like a beer hall, and beautifully built/decorated. I could hang out all day, and did. The beers are very well done, with tons of styles to try. Prices are respectable. It was busy, and had to wait a bit in line to grab a beer, but well worth it. Service was solid. I think they could improve the system they have for betting beer, its a tad bit awkward - but they are new and I suspect they have some kinks to work out.
