Don't expect good communication, or ANY communication at all, from them. I submitted an inquiry over 4 WEEKS AGO and had even messaged them on another platform (that they continuously post on) to follow up in case they didn't see my initial inquiry, and still never heard back. Didn't expect this type of unprofessionalism at all from this company. I decided to "unsend" my message on the other platform because I don't want to contract with someone who lacks basic communication. I even emailed one of their artists personally as notated in her instagram bio, but crickets as well.. I work in sales so I have been MORE than gracious in giving them time to get back to me, but again.. it's been more than 4 weeks! So now I'm leaving this review. Sucks they lost my business when all it wouldn't taken was an email back. Super bummed bc they were my dream HMU, or so I thought. After asking around about them, haven't heard the best things from locals. Seems like they only give their time and attention to highly budgeted destination weddings LOLLL.

After some deliberation, I cannot suggest coming to see Jeanne. While my hair and make up looked…read morealright (by far better than anything I would ever be able to do myself), the entire process was so incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. Mainly because she kept coughing into her hands then immediately went and started touching all over my face. All throughout my appointment. As soon as I walked in and was sat down she began talking about all the horrific things that have happened in her life. And while I feel for her, it was *all* she wanted to talk about even when I tried to change topics to a lighter note. At one point she decided to stop what she was doing in the middle of everything and decided I really needed to meet her grandson, a freshman in high school. The two kept talking over each other and it was just PAINFULLY awkward to be there. The end was the kicker. Over the phone she quoted me $165 for both hair and make up. When I was all finished and desperately trying to run out of there, she told me it was $225. When I stopped her and questioned the price, she said that oh she must have given me a deal, and that the price does NOT include gratuity. That was said a handful of times to drive it home I suppose. I got into my truck, ready to leave and wait the hours until the party (sure convinced me we would need the entire time, which we very much did not), and she summons me back inside because she forgot to take pictures. Finally I get to leave with her calling after me to leave a review and all this and that. Well, here it is.

I just went in for a wash and blowout. Well, I actually wanted a toner as well, but after saying…read moreshe could do it over the phone, she didn't carry toner. All her colors have it already. I have no idea what that means as I always get bleached then washed, then a toner. ‍ Jeanne works out of her home studio and it's a nice enough place. A bit dusty, but comfortable. She used a plug-in blow dry/brush combo which I didn't think did the trick as far as smoothing my hair. Ended up flat on top and frizzy at the ends. I asked for some curls to add waves to it, and she used another tool I had never seen in a professional salon - an automatic hair curler (?). You basically put a piece of hair in it and it does all the work. I was a bit nervous about that because my hair is so fine and fried and wasn't sure how it "automatically knew the correct temperature to use". Also, she said that the curler could do curls in both directions, but my entire head was done in one direction with my left side having forward-facing curls. It was the most unusual blow dry I have ever had, and can't say I would try it again. On a positive note, she has a lot of funny stories about about brides/bridesmaids that were entertaining.

She loved the haircut, but unfortunately the color she chose looked so similar to her normal hair color, that she felt pretty disappointed that the highlights didn't look like the photos we had shown Kaya pre-appointment. I got in touch with her shortly after leaving, and she was so kind and understanding and scheduled a complimentary appointment to help get it to what she was hoping for. That time she nailed it and my daughter is thrilled with how the color turned out! We really appreciated Kaya's professionalism and care in making her first experience a success!

She knows her trade and has a way of blending her years of experience with her client's individual wishes. Her honesty is one of her most admirable qualities. She has high standards for herself and would never settle for less. I am honored to have had her do hair and makeup at my wedding! It was perfect, largely because of her amazingly cool and competent demeanor. I have been working with Cody for well over 10 years now and become more and more pleased and impressed with her work every day. I recommend her with all that I have.
