Wow! I had the most incredible experience with Megan, Keira and Crystal. I live in NYC and was obviously nervous about having an out-of-state wedding/using vendors I did not know. This review has been sitting in my drafts for a long time. A while ago, I decided to try out this business for my save the date photos. I was not skilled at doing my own makeup and I specifically wanted their water proof/sweat proof makeup. They had really good reviews and were recommended by my wedding venue. I booked an appointment, paid my deposit and started getting someone ideas together. My MUA met me at my house, and got to work in my kitchen doing my makeup. She complained about my lighting but I didn't know how to fix it...she was nice enough and chatted with me as time went on. I felt no connection to her, and I simply felt as though as I was just another job to her. She asked me if we could wrap up early because she needed to pick up her brother from the airport...uhh...ok..so she finished my makeup, I checked it out and she was on her way. It wasn't until I looked closer and had my fiancée look at the makeup that I saw the mistakes. My eyeliner was uneven, my lipstick was smeared and I was very unhappy. I tried my best to fix it, since she had told me she was getting her brother from the airport, and I went and did my save the dates and emailed the owner shortly after. I did not like the response I got, because instead of speaking to the MUA the owner decided to just include her in the email. When the MUA responded, it really felt like the blame was being put on me, which I expected because of course she wanted to explain to her boss what she had done right. I ended up not responding because at that point I did not know what to say. I can overlook the errors she made, but I do not feel like I received adequate customer service once I reached out to resolve those issues. I was not looking for a refund of my money, rather a promise that this wouldn't happen on my wedding day since I specifically asked how I couldn't avoid these issues in the future. I just want to take a moment and share my experience work with Makeup in the 702. First off, I'm not sure when Meg sleeps... she is on top of her game! I'm up early so when I have a question and email her at 530am I had responds by 6am.. some emails came in late too.... she coordinated everything. I got emails with tips on getting ready and she was amazing with all the helpful info! The morning of Anne and Jeanette arrived perfectly on time. They were so polite. Then then got started! I've never felt more beautiful in my entire like. My hair and makeup was everything I ever wanted/imagined it would be times 1000s. When they say it will last all day it will. My curls lasted longer then I thought they would and turn in to a beach wave look by the end of the night. I have super thick long hair. We are traveling early the following morning and I didnt have access to remove the makeup and it still looks great. Below is the exact email that I sent to Megan regarding the service I received for my recent wedding. (Obviously with some you's and her's changed to names) I am very unhappy. I was very confident that going through this company was going to be a great choice for my wedding day after having serious issues with my previous makeup vendor. Megan assured me that things would go very smoothly and that I would be happy and taken care of, and that as the first vendors of the day they would be setting the tone for my wedding day. Sadly, this was not the case. For my makeup trial- my artist Celina showed up late, which would not have been a big deal as I try to be very flexible, but when she arrived she complained about her previous appointment and the lighting in my hotel room- which I agree was not the best, but not something I have control over either. I showed her photos of my inspiration for my makeup and she got started. She did not stop or ask me step by step how I liked what she was doing or if I would change things- she did my makeup, said I was done and told me to go look in a mirror. My foundation was blotchy and so uneven that I actually took it off before going out because I was embarrassed. My makeup didn't look anything like what I asked for. I have eyelash extensions as well and she got so much foundation on my lashes that I looked laughable, so when I told her, she put eye shadow over them and also got it all over my face which she said she "wouldn't do tomorrow" I should have known that the next day would not be different, but I thought that the trial at least showed me what I knew I didn't like and what to mention the next day. On my wedding day the two teams she sent got started right on time, the one makeup artist (NOT the one who did my trial) was very friendly and did my mother and one of my bridesmaids makeup. She took her time and they looked wonderful. However, the girl who did the rest of my party's makeup (Celina) seemed like she was in a hurry as soon as she arrived and had an attitude with everyone she interacted with (even other members of the team) She did our makeup so poorly that nearly everyone felt the need to "fix" theirs, and when anyone mentioned that they didn't like something she actually argued with them rather than offering to correct it. Which, I felt was beyond unprofessional. She also huffed and pouted and argued with me when I asked about having my tattoo covered- which was supposed to be included in what I paid. She scolded me like a child and told me that I should have told her that the day before and now I was out of luck. Another thing I would like to point out is how all she kept telling us was that she didn't have enough time to do anything and rushed all of us but she had time to text and play on her phone, and later mentioned she was going to go walk her dog for an hour. When I hinted that I was unhappy she said that she did not have time to fix anything because she had other brides, and bookings back to back, and it "wouldn't be right to make those brides wait". I find it offensive that as a bride, my feelings and the money I paid did not seem to matter at all. I also made it a big point, and emailing Megan several times, to say that we did not need to be ready until 11am. I did not want to have to sit around for hours trying not to mess up my makeup. Celina was in such a hurry to leave that she was packed and out the door by 8:30am. My mom tried to stop her and ask where she was going because she left without airbrushing our neck or chest area (which according to Megan she was supposed to do, and why we wore shirts with specific necklines- which Megan told us to do in her emails) and she just ignored her and walked out. My party's hair was also not done in the best manner. One of my bridesmaids who asked simply for curls had chunks of hair that were untouched and later had to re-curl her whole head. Anyone who did not get an up-do had their hair falling by the time the ceremony started. The one hair stylist who stayed with me until 9am contacted Megan to let her know how upset I was (honestly I looked so bad that I was in tears) and to see if another artist had time to fix my face before the wedding ceremony- but instead of trying to make it right or help me on the biggest day of my life, she offered to refund my deposit and said to "go out to dinner" on her. This was my wedding day- not prom. I don't get a do-over or a second chance for this. Luckily, my MOH were kind enough to rise to the challenge and fixed as much of my makeup as she could before my ceremony. I have never been so unhappy with a service in my whole life. Considering everything that I went through on the most important day of my life, being treated like I didn't matter by Megan's staff, I would pass on this company. In the end I requested, and received my money back. To me that will never justify their behavior and how we were all treated or make it any better. Skip this one ladies. read more

Megan was SO easy to work with and the weekly tips she sent out from when I booked up to the wedding day were so helpful. I was able to forward the tips to my wedding party and alleviate all their questions quickly. The booking, contract and payment process is easy and Megan was amazing at answering any/all questions I had immediately. Megan talked with me on the phone and matched with Stefi and Freedom and I couldn't have asked for a better team. They were extremely professional, fun and so easy to work with. I did a trial run prior to my wedding day (used it for my engagement photos) and I'm so glad I did. DO NOT TRUST WeddingWire reviews. They only retain good reviews about the company. My review was deactivated because it was a bad review. Make-up was pathetic and all the claims about showing up early were false. The girls showed up 20 min later than the scheduled time and got me ready in 50 min with a shabby make-up. They didn't even know how to mix the foundation well according to my complexion. The hair were done by Crystal and they were perfect. She did a really good job. So if you hire them only for hair and specifically ask for Crystal then it is good. But DO NOT hire them for make-up unless you want to look ridiculous like I did in my wedding photos. read more

One word: PERFECT!!!!!!! Let's just say I was really nervous booking hair and make-up from across the country for our small rustic Las Vegas desert wedding. I came on this site to book the most reputable hair and MU company, and figured Makeup in the 702 would be the best option. I wasn't messing around considering I was not going to pay for a trial session....and wanted to have the best service possible. So I went with the flow and booked them as soon as I could. From the initial first email to the week after my wedding, I couldn't of had a better experience. The communication was 120% on point and always fast. Megan answered each and every question that I sent over in a timely manner. Second of all, Kiera and Karen were wonderful. I was more nervous about my hair since makeup is something I could always fix myself. I had an up-do photo collage from Pinterest that I printed out for reference, like all brides, I had a vision. I am not really a fan of up-do's but knew the style worked best with my gorgeous dress. Let's just say what Karen did was simply WAY BETTER then any Pinterest photo that was all over the internet. I can not say enough wonderful things about Megan and her team! I used them for hair, makeup, and spray tan for both my engagement and wedding photo's, and was impressed every time! I have already reviewed them for my engagement photo's, which were amazing, but I want to focus specifically on my wedding day for this review. To start I had a spray tan done by Shekiera the night before my wedding. She came to my parents house at 8pm, (where I was staying) set up a portable tanning "booth," and performed the tan in the spare room. No mess, no remnants of spray, no stains. The tan was perfect! It lasted about nine days, but faded very evenly, no funky spots like other spray tans I have had. It is nice to have it at home, no stress, plus I didn't have to worry about driving home, braless, with certain clothes, or not wanting to wash your hands or face when you return home.... you can just hop in pj's and go straight to bed. Shekiera is very professional, I did my tan completely naked and never felt uncomfortable or awkward, she explains every step and has you look at stages to make sure it is what you want and are comfortable with it. This was my second tan by Shekiera, the first looked perfect the night of but a lot washed off the next morning. I had her go a lot darker the day before the wedding and after my first shower the next day, the color was perfect! I would recommend you do at least one test tan before your wedding to get used to the steps you have to follow and see how you like it the following day after your first shower. But, no tan lines, and no hours and hours spent in tanning beds makes this an excellent pre wedding option. I had my hair done by Deb, I chose not to do an up do, my Husband prefers my hair half up and half down so thats what I wanted to do. She never pushed a certain style and was willing to do anything I asked. This women has some magical skills. She worked on my hair as I had my make up done, I knew she was behind me because we were talking but other than that, I had no idea she was there! No rough tugging, no hairspray in my eyes or surprise curling iron burns... and all of a sudden... bam... I had this perfect hair do. She did exactly like I asked, It lasted 12 hours, never lost my curls... even after wearing silly props in the photo booth. As for makeup, I saved the best for last. I absolutely love Megan! She knew me and my personality after just a few minutes of chatting. I am quite the jeans and T-shirt, no make up, phony tail kind of girl... and she respected that. She kept my natural look that I like, but made me look beautiful! She was sure to get my approval after stages so I didn't feel like she did to much. She was calm and soft spoken with such positive energy in a whirlwind of stress and chaos. We had 15 people in my Mom's house when they arrived and I was pretty overwhelmed. Megan took me over, smiled and calmly brought my stress down just with her presents. She did everything she could to make sure I was comfortable and happy with my appearance. Megan provides you with a kit of everything you need to touch up, just a quick blend with the make up pad easily fixed any small smears from my tears of joy, and a few dabs of lip stick before pictures were all I needed. The make up easily lasted throughout the night, at least 12 hours. The ladies were always on time, and most often early. My hair and make up took about one hour total. Megan and Deb are such a great team, they both worked simultaneously with no stress on me! Megan kept complete communication with me with everything. Pre tanning instructions, pre hair and make up instructions, I was never in the dark about what to do and what to expect, and I always felt comfortable about what was going on around me. As for price, I felt like their prices were completely competitive with other air brush services in town. I would have paid double for Megan and her team if it came down to it. This is a day you will remember forever and pictures you will have to cherish, you want to know you will look good no matter what. Don't take any chances, these women are amazing! When my now husband and I decided to get married in Vegas I did not want the whole 'lets show up to a chapel in jeans and a t-shirt' wedding. I wanted a semi normal, much more private and intimate wedding. The planning and research that I did was so much that I am thinking about going into wedding planning haha! With that, I looked at A LOT of makeup places. We were traveling from texas so getting it done in the hotel room was a big plus for me. I got a call from Megan who was nice and explained the whole process. She did not flinch or try and fight me when I said I wanted to do more research and instead sent me a quote that was good for the week. I did my research and all places were about the same price but Makeup in the 702 included a full size lipstick which was enticing because I am not a makeup person at all. I called and booked with them! This was maybe 2-3 weeks before the wedding and I was surprised at the amount of contact they had with me throughout the weeks leading up to the wedding. The day of Kassity and Marisa arrived on time. They texted me the night before to introduce themselves and give me expectations of what would happen the next day. They were both super friendly and personable, another thing I was worried about since I was already a ball full of nerves. Kassity even answered the door when the maid service came and asked them for extra pillows when I complained about a poor nights sleep the night before! They worked quickly and gave me enough time to adjust anything that I may not have liked, and the only problem I had was with the lipstick which was quickly fixed with a different color! I felt beautiful and the makeup lasted through the wedding and a 2 hour photo session after the wedding! My one and only recommendation would be to have more dialogue about what you are going for. I had been on pinterest for weeks and had about 3 pages of hair styles and makeup that I liked. They looked at it for about 2-3 minutes and went to work after asking a few questions about what I liked most. I ended up loving what they did but would have liked to know if they thought certain styles would go better with my skin tone/hair and then go from there. They also literally only saw the photos the day of my appointment. I would have loved to send them to them beforehand to see what their thoughts were. All in all it was a great experience, I loved the girls and loved how everything turned out. It was a bit of a splurge but well worth it to make me feel beautiful on my most important day! WOW!!! I don't know where to begin. I choose Makeup in the 702 for my wedding day as I loved their portfolio as well as their amazing competitive rates. Megan was very professional from the start to end. the communication was amazing. As a destination bride from Vancouver BC, I was unable to do a trial run for hair and makeup...So i had a lot riding on them. They were my first vendors of the day and not going to lie, my heart was racing. I opened the door to my hotel room and to my surprise I was greeted by Megan, Crystal and Kiera ( I was only expecting Crystal and Kiera). Megan immediately calmed my nerves but telling me she "couldnt miss being a part of my special day"...From that point on I felt like a princess. Having an extra stylist was great as my sister decided last minute to get her hair done....She was ecstatic and loved the final product. After my makeup trial in December 2015, I was more than confident about using Makeup in the 702 for my wedding day. Kiera (MUA) and Cassie (hair) did my hair and makeup for me and my MOH, as well as makeup for my bridesmaids and my mother. We looked absolutely fabulous! On another note, as someone who easily sweats and shed some tears on my wedding day, I'm happy to say that my hair and makeup held up perfectly! I went to the Vegas sign for pics in the middle of the day (112 degree heat) so I was definitely sweating! But the good news is that you can barely tell in my pictures. Even before I met them, I was given a free facial over at my local Macy's. I wish I was in Las Vegas and I would use them all the time. This review is for the bride that is coming from out of town and unsure about which company to book. After shopping around and making many phone calls to different hair and make up artists I found that Makeup in the 702 was the best option. The other places seem like they're cheaper but they have too many add on fees. Megan(the owner) and her staff were extremely responsive, professional, friendly and prepared. I paid for a trial run as well as the day of bridal hair and makeup because I was unsure. But honestly, I did not need to do a trial run because the girls executed everything exactly the way I asked it to be done the first time. Megan was literally just a text message away at all times. From the first time of contact until the actual wedding(actually, even after the wedding I got a follow up email) she maintained contact wig weekly emails. All in all, I highly recommend Makeup in the 702. I could not imagine a better experience. Thank you Megan, Annie & Katie making me feel and look so special on my big day. Stephy did my makeup and Freedom did my hair. I was more than happy! I did a trial and did not love the hair or makeup so we made adjustments and it ended up being perfect on the wedding day. They were both on time and super nice and friendly. My only "complaint" is that this company is expensive but I guess you get what you pay for! Five stars. read more

Planning and coming in from out of town was stressful at first, but Megan made this seamless, easy and worry free. This review is a little late in the making but better late then never! So I was quite skeptical of having someone do my hair and make up for my wedding day to be totally honest. I read so many sad reviews all over of woman saying it ruined their wedding or how they were made to look like a painted pig or how they had a reaction to the make up and broke out in a rash on their special day. So I was a bit hesitant to say the least however, the last thing I wanted to worry about was messing up my own face on my wedding day so I thought I would say what the hey and take a chance and boy am I glad I did!! Megan the owner was SO professional and so thorough on making sure I had all my questions answered and in finding out what I was looking for. She assured me the process would be very easy and I would have the best experience possible and I really did. I had Deb and Keira and they communicated with me prior to the day so they knew where I would be and what time I need to be done by. They showed up the day of actually a half hour early so they could set up and they were very friendly and professional. We talked about what I was looking for (which honestly I wasn't even sure) but they did the most amazing job I could have ever asked for and far exceeded my expectations. My make-up truly did last all day and into the evening with no need for touch ups or anything. The look on my husbands face when he first saw me was priceless and I really felt special on my special day. I would highly recommend Make Up In The 702 for their high level of professionalism and artistry in their field. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the work done by Deb and Kiera. Professional, warm, and friendly, they offered advice from everything to my hairstyle and birdcage veil placement to the earring choices I could not decide on. They took me from fresh face to superstar in an hour. If I could attach a before and after picture set here, I would. The transformation they did for me was magnificent. I wanted fake eyelashes, I got fake eyelashes. My now-husband was ecstatic and I received so many compliments that I will continue to hear as my appearance will live on through the power of digital photography. For a '50s glam look, this power duo made me look like a old era film siren. Highly recommended. Look nowhere else in the Vegas area.
