When I do manage to get through or show up in person, the staff are dismissive and rude -- not in a "having a bad day" way, but consistently, across multiple visits and interactions. Basic questions are met with impatience, and there's no sense that they view patients as people who actually need their medication. The other pattern I've experienced repeatedly: I receive a notification that my prescription is ready for pickup, I make the trip, and I'm told to come back in 30 minutes, a few hours, or sometimes not until next week. No explanation, no apology. If the prescription isn't ready, don't send the notification. It's that simple. The combination of unreachable phones, inaccurate ready notifications, and dismissive staff makes this location genuinely unreliable for anything time-sensitive. I've since filed a complaint with Walgreens corporate and would encourage others with similar experiences to do the same (1-800-925-4733). If you have a routine prescription that requires zero coordination, maybe. If you ever need to actually speak to someone or rely on accurate information, look elsewhere.

I have been coming here for over 5 years, because Eva is a fabulous pharmacist. In the past few years I've had to interact with less than pleasant co workers of hers. These employees have accidentally given me my brothers medication before and him mine (hippa violation much). In recent days they lost a prescription of mine and were beyond inconsiderate over the phone. I abruptly ended a call stating I would wait for Eva who is always kind. I was called back and told they would give me a courtesy refill only to be interrupted when saying thank you by "if you're so grateful leave a review." Fresh meat, herbs, and veggies, dried/canned goods, beeeeeeeeeer - they had it all. The floor-to-ceiling inventory they keep on hand for many items probably helped, but I was truly grateful for this store. Times are fortunately (mostly) back to normal now, but I still go to Brooklyn Fare for the essentials.
