    Honey Maple / Pastrami Turkey
    Sharon C.

Will have anything chopped in a hero from Farmer in the Deli. Got my first chopped sandwich here & have been going back because they do it so well here. Meat is sliced fresh & they have a large selection. Tons of toppings to add on & chop - including a bag of chips!! I like mine chopped a little less than they usually would + add mayo & honey mustard on the hero & I looove it. Have tried honey maple turkey & pastrami smoked turkey and both were great. Trying hot pastrami chopped next 1000%

Chopped sandwich was delicious! If you come during the day expect to wait on a line potentially wrapping around the store. It doesn't move as quickly as I had hoped. While the wait may have been a big of a downer, the sandwich wasn't! I went with the honey turkey with lettuce, tomato, pickles, swiss cheese, pepper, and an old school Dipsy Doodles as my crunch factor and it didn't disappoint. This sandwich is also very shareable for two. The price also didn't disappoint either. I cant remember the last time I got a really kicking sandwich for less than 13 bucks.

This was a late night snack. Honey turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil and vinegar. It wasn't as crowded as usual. Only had 2 lines open, but it was moving quick. Sandwich was great as always. The store looks a lil renovated. New fridges and sandwich meat cases. Doesn't disappoint. If you on the area. Please try it.

I love the fact that Famer in the Deli is open 24 hours! This place has a pretty extensive menu, offering breakfast options, different types of sandwiches (turkey, chicken, and beef), as well as chopped sandwiches. We came here super early in the morning, and the fact that this place was packed tells you something! We ordered a Honey Maple Turkey chopped sandwich on a hero, with pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, salt, oil, and vinegar; the amount that this was inside the bread was ridiculous! The bread itself was fresh and soft, and the filling could equate to another 4 sandwiches; you could also use it as a spread for crackers! Don't forget to add a Hans Jurgen pickle - they have 2 kinds, but get the larger of the two - these are pickled perfectly, super fresh, and also big enough to share between 2-4 people! There are about 4 staff members behind the counter who take your order(s) and keep the line moving - they are all super friendly and kind! The place also has a good selection of drinks and chips to add to your meal. A great spot to fulfill a good sandwich craving! +Hans Jurgen pickles +chopped sandwiches +friendly service

I made a 45 minute walk all the way to try this spot that has gone viral for their chopped turkey sandwiches. When I arrived on a Saturday at 3pm, there was a line that wrapped around the store. While waiting in line, you can grab a bag of chips and drink. The tip is to get a bag of chips to add into your sandwich for some extra flavor and crunch. For my sando, I got the Chopped Honey Maple Turkey on Hero ($11.99) with Pepper Jack Cheese (+$1). Also got all the fix-ins: lettuce, tomato, mayo, salt, pepper, vinegar, and oil. I added half my bag of Utz Crab flavored chips ($2) as well. When I went to pay for it, they even staple my opened bag of chips to "seal" it back for me. It's definitely cool to see them make your sandwich in front of you. Because everything is made to order, the line moves slow thus the long wait times. I ended up waiting 50 minutes. Also, grabbed a bottle of Arizona Green Tea ($1.25) to enjoy my meal over at Fort Green Park. You know how they say you gotta get a bite of everything? This is what makes a chopped cheese so good-- because all the ingredients are well infused together. It might also look like a lot of mayo, but it gives it such a creamy and moist consistency like a chicken/tuna salad. The sandwich is also super filling as I only ate half and then finished the rest for dinner when I got home. Honestly, this sandwich is worth the hype and it's so delicious. The thing is that the wait is so long and it makes me wonder if I could get some similar at another bodega without the wait.

No lines when I went, not the usual experience so I was glad only 2 people were ahead. The sandwiches artists here are friendly and will make your sammich exactly the way you want it. They are very proud of their craft. You can get traditional layouts and choose from the board. The lure of this place is the chopped up ingredients and you have the option to be creative, adding chips or anything from the grocery shelves onto the chopping board. On prior visits I've seen some combos that either made me sway my own order or give the silent eye roll. Today I was getting it for my hubby who likes to keep it simple. So no Buffalo flavored chips or salsa etc that I've previously seen. He got pastrami ,pepper jack cheese ,lettuce tomatoes onions and banana peppers. Either way you're gonna leave with a satisfying sandwich and they also have great fresh pickles. Cash or card. ATM in store if you need. Delicious is clean and the staff is friendly.

Very good sandwiches and the guys who work there are really nice. Great deal for the price. I went on a Saturday at like 2:30 and the line didn't look super long but it took a really long time. I probably would only return if there were a couple people in line, though I really liked my sandwich.

I've been hearing about "Farmer In the Deli" for years. People talked about the amount of food you get for a great price. That sounded like music to my ears, so I had to check it out. If you are driving, parking in the areas is a pain, so give yourself time because it will take awhile. The outside of the building speaks history, it's older and not modernized. Inside is about the same, but it is tight in there. They have isles packed with groceries, but offer no seating. That's the trade off to sell more product I guess. You line up around the back of the store and wait. I mean really wait. The line is slow and takes time. I spent a lot of time just waiting. However, I finally got to the counter and was able to order. This delis claim to fame is that you can make sandwiches anyway you want and I mean anyway, you can choose chips, sauces, and meats to go into your sandwich. After the chop, they put it between a hero or roll and your off. I decided to get turkey and cheddar, bacon with a few toppings. After I went to the counter paid and had to sit in my car to eat, if you go there to get full, mission accomplished! This sandwich is massive. I almost didn't finish it, I said almost. But the sandwich was lacking something. I guess, I want to say flavor. They didn't put enough cheese on it, the bread was a bit hard, and the mayo was kinda bland. All in all, I really wasn't impressed. Full, yes! But that's probably not enough to get me to go back....I mean come on, food is great when you enjoy it.

Super delicious chopped sandwiches here! Don't forget to add a bag of chips to chop into it :) I like this location a lot and have tried the chopped sandwich at this location and in midtown. This is definitely a much larger and older deli, which has some chaotic charm. The line moves quickly and the staff are super quick and skilled. I highly recommend getting the toasted hero sandwich and adding some chips. I enjoyed my turkey with cool ranch Doritos, and added some chopped banana peppers and jalapeños as well. It is a bit pricey for sandwiches, and one hero with some additions came out to ~$15. Be warned it is a very heavy sandwich, as the base relies pretty heavily on mayo! I felt full just eating half of the sandwich. Would come again if i'm craving a chopped sandwich!

5/5! This was worth the trip from Manhattan - well Cali if I'm being honest!
    Shelly S.

This place had been in my bucket list forever and we finally made it to NY. The sandwich was worth the trip from Manhattan. It was so good. They have loads of specialty chips on the other side of the store to pair with your sandwich. I got the chopped mesquite turkey and honey mustard. They hand chop the smithereens out of it. The guys making the sandwiches were nice. There is no place to eat inside b/c it's like a corner store. Parking is a bit of a challenge if you drive there and if you go at night there can be some weirdos outside. I'd go again in a "NY minute" next time I'm there!

The sandwich was just delicious! I got mine with Sour Cream and an onion chips chopped up and it was delicious. If I'm near here, I'm getting a sandwich

I have nothing but good things to say about Farmer In the Deli. I used to live close by and go pretty frequently, but despite living further, we still make sure to come by when we can. Walk in and head straight to the back to get in line. Grab some chips while you wait! Chopped, chopped, chopped, they do it best! Be warned, there will likely be a line, even at 2am, but it moves fast. I really love getting tuna, chicken and turkey pastrami but really, you can't go wrong with any of their cuts. Same goes for the cheeses. My favorite thing about this place is they do NOT skimp on portions. You'll need a fork to catch everything as you eat. One thing I really like about these guys is they have an option without any bread, where you get all the goods but in a plastic bowl. If you're cutting down on carbs, it's a great option. Worth the stop, worth the wait, and worth the carbs :)

I'm already trying to plan my next visit to the store! My friend and I were in Brooklyn for the day and I found this location on tiktok because it went viral. We needed to try it before we went back home to Jersey and I'm so happy we did. Yes it is a corner store with your convenient needs but the chopped sandwiches are the star of the show I'm not sure why the chopped Ingredients make the sandwich 10 times better but it was worth the visit. I can't remember the exact price but it varied between $11-$14 and well worth it. You can have it on a hero (long sub bread) or a roll. You can also opt to add chips in your chopped sandwich just hand them the bag. I got the honey maple turkey provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, extra mayo, oil, vinegar, and pepper and a oregano on a hero. Staff was very nice but as you wait in line, make sure to look at the menu so you can know what you want to order to keep up the pace since it does get busy. Overall 10/10!

Every visit reminds you why Parisi has survived since 1903 while trends and neighbors came and went. Let's talk about The Dennis--the undisputed star and a true signature sandwich. This thing is a monster, built on Parisi's legendary fresh-baked bread that somehow stays crisp, chewy, and perfect no matter how much goodness gets piled inside. You get a crispy breaded chicken cutlet layered with thin-sliced prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and (if you know what you're doing) roasted red peppers. It's all brought together with their house balsamic blend and basil herb spread/pesto--bright, savory, and completely addictive. I cannot confirm or deny that the sandwich is named after me, but I can confirm it's flawless. Pro tips: * Cash only, old-school rules apply. * Come hungry or plan ahead--this sandwich is big enough to share or save half for later, and it still eats beautifully round two. * Tip the sandwich makers. These folks are artists, and the tip box deserves some love. Beyond the food, Parisi is living New York history. From its origins as an Italian bakery on Mott Street, to feeding generations of locals, to being famously beloved by Frank Sinatra (yes, the bread was shipped to California), this place is woven into the fabric of Little Italy/Nolita. Legends like De Niro and Scorsese are fans, and you can still feel that old-world soul--right down to the original brick oven relic resting in the basement. Parisi isn't just a deli. It's continuity. It's tradition. It's proof that when you do one thing incredibly well for over a century, people keep coming back. And once you've had The Dennis, you will too.
