I am always looking for a good sushi place and this one did not disappoint!!! We walked over there for lunch and it wasn't very crowded. We were seated right away in a window booth. We ordered the Crab Rangoons, spring rolls, and the Dazzling Girl sushi roll. The presentation was good and the food was delicious. The server was wonderful. She was sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We ended up getting more rolls to go to bring back to the office for others to enjoy. We'll be back! read more

Maki Mono in Covington is absolutely an amazing find. I'm in the Cincinnati area for a few months for work and I can't believe how good is Japanese restaurant is in Kentucky. The owner and staff recognized me after my second visit and now every time that I pick up takeout, they greet me and talk to me while I'm there. The service is second to none with a nice feel now as for the food, a chicken Katsu is perhaps one of the best I've had in the entire country. It is breaded perfectly fried perfectly served on a bed of cooked veggies, this dish is fire!! traveling a lot for work. It's really hard to eat healthy so when I find a place like this that I like I stick to it that way I can get a little bit of healthy food with me. read more

We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and were the only ones in there but that's not a problem for me because we got great service! I apologize for not remember our servers name but she was very polite and attentive! I had a couple questions about the chef sauce on the Maki Mono roll and it was explained in detail about what ingredients were used! I ended up getting the sauce on the side but honestly wish I would've gotten it on the roll like intended (now I know for next time). What a great sushi roll though!!!! We were very hungry so we got 2 salads, pork pan fried dumplings and 2 sushi rolls each (more than enough food lol). Only reason I'm giving 4 stars (wish it could be 4.5) is because the dumplings were sub par but I'm a dumpling snob and eat them EVERYWHERE we go.
