Hidden amongst strip mall/roadside plaza typical businesses this little restaurant does a good job providing local folks with reasonable facsimiles of authentic Japanese cuisine. The service was good, the food was good (although the chicken broth was a little weak), and the prices were reasonable. I wouldn't drive past other Ramen places closer to me, but for the local folks, this is a good place for some hearty Ramen without emptying your wallet. read more

Don't mistake Japanese curry for Thai curry. Nowhere near the same. The curry rice was delicious. but, could've used a little more sauce (peppery but, not dry). We started with an appetizer called Takoyaki which was deep fried batter with octopus pieces. As weird as it may sound to some I though they were delicious. It was unlike anything I'd ever tasted but I really liked it. Keeping with the seafood theme I tried the Seafood Ramen. It came with chicken broth with curry base, jumbo shrimp, scallops, crabmeat, fish cake, bok choy, and green onions. It was absolutely fantastic with especially the seafood standing out as it should. They have a simple menu though it covers all the bases. I have the spring rolls and cucumber salad, my dinner companion had the vegetarian noodles, we both had a boba and couldn't be happier! Very good food and reasonable prices. We were seated and waited on immediately by a friendly face. The restaurant is small but they make the best use possible with what they have. I've travelled all over the world and I can honestly say this was the best bowl of ramen I've had outside of Japan. I highly recommend the Shoyu Bowl, it was so good. The pork was tender and really mixed well with the noodles and egg! Service was a little slow to get to us when we got there but it gave us time to look at the menu and make our minds. Overall it was nice and anytime my drink was empty she would get me a new one right away. Ambiance admittedly was a little bland. Some wallpaper inside the actual restaurant, other than that there wasn't much ambience. I'd recommend maybe adding some plants or some more decor. I didn't feel very drawn in.
