WTF, it's not what I ordered!!!!. Then he put me on hold permanently- so Maks can go in the trash for your sh$&ty food and even worse customer service. And their pizza sucks now. High quality rare roast beef, shaved and served warm on a delicious, slightly toasted sesame seed bun. My default ingredients are LTM + horseradish sauce, but you can combo this up any way you want. The dine-in situation consists of just a few basic booths - nothing special. Norwood Town Common is just two blocks over and a great place to hang if it's warm out. I'll go ahead and ignore their inappropriate sign trying to blame president Biden's administration for the rise in food costs, which is incredibly inaccurate and would require a lengthy lesson in logistics and supply chains and will instead focus on the food. The pepperoni pizza was fine, the tuna sub was fine but I was not that impressed with my Jr. Roast Beef sandwich. It was okay but I've had much better at Georgio's in Brockton. Also their online ordering makes it impossible to select mayo+bbq sauce since it forces only 1 choice on there per order which is absurd considering that a 3-way roast beef sandwich is the standard. Lastly, my Greek salad. I had asked for extra pepperoncini, only to get home, open my bag and find half a pepperoni stick on there on top of my salad. Very dissapointing. I've had plenty of chicken parmesean hot sub sandwiches, this one was terrible. Chicken was chewy, tough, and full of sinewy gristle like meat. The cheese, and sauce was nothing to remember, and little if any sauce on it really. Overall tasteless. The bread was ok, so I should have just eaten the bread. The next day, after the "chicken parm" worked through my digestion, it did again remind me how horrible it was. First time, and last time. Not going back. I have been a Maks customer for a few years now, they have always served me and continue to serve me very well. The food is always very well prepared and the service on the phone and in person is wonderful, sometimes I have doubts about trying new dishes and the attendants always help me. Driving through the area I found Mak's on Yelp. A small shop, we ordered at the counter and took a seat. This is a no frills shop and the roast beef is good. Folks were coming in to pick up take-away and there was a steady stream of pizza's and sandwiches. It smelled really good in there. The sandwiches took a little while to come out of the back, and based on the number of take-away patrons, I would suspect they fill the orders based on the time they were placed, not on weather you are 'eat in' vs 'take away' so keep that in mind in case it seems like 'no one is here, why is the order taking so long'. Drinks are available in the cooler near the counter, no 'fountain' drinks. There were a variety of soda's, water and iced teas. There is also a place by the door for napkins, salt & pepper and the like. Convenient to grab a few things when leaving with your take away order. read more

I used to get the super beef but this last time I got the large roast beef sub and it was the same beef they use for the classic roast beef sandwiches - I just prefer the sub roll in general but this one was NEXT LEVEL. This is the second time we have ordered from Mak's. First time order was wrong, and food was overcooked. We thought we would give them a second try, since they are a local business. This time we ordered Steak and Cheese subs. Steak was the worst mess I have ever had. I have never, ever heard of a steak sub where the steak was chopped so small it was like crumbs and kept falling out of the sub roll all over the place.
