I don't get down to this area much so I scouted out a place to hit up for a quick lunch. Vincenzo's happened to be the closest place on my list and lucky me. Most of the reviews were about the Italian so I thought I would give it a try. The place is small but cute and offers a few tables to sit at. The girl at the counter was very friendly and took my order. I ordered the Italian with everything and a slice of the bakery pizza. Like most people said the Italian was great. They sliced the meat to order and it was thin, just how I like it. The onions were sliced paper thin so you get all the flavor without feeling like you are eating raw onions. The sandwich was great. I ate half and saved the rest for later. The slice of cheese was good, but not great. Would have liked it a little more cook on the bottom crust. This place is definitely worth a try and if I am down there again I will be stopping. read more

Went back again, got the same .. Italian , this time the sandwich was packed with a good amount of meat/ to bread ratio was good . Needed a caterer for a birthday party and a good friend recommended Vincenzo's. I have never been there but trust my friend as she's fussy when it comes to food. The owner and could not have been any more helpful! he helped me pick out the food for the party, making sure I would have enough for my guests. The food was fantastic! I'm interested in this restaurant mainly for their Caprese sandwich. I finally got there today (their hours are difficult to say the least for anyone who has a 9-5 and enjoys sleeping in on weekends) and ordered my favorite sandwich, the Caprese. The Caprese is excellent here. With much more basil, I'd call it the best in Boston. I'll rate the ingredients. Cheese: A+, bread: A-, tomatoes: A+, basil: B-, other seasonings: A. It beats City Feed's "Fresh Mozzarella" handily in every category except basil. I have to say, I still prefer the City Feed one just because I get this sandwich specifically for the fresh basil at each place I order it. With that one alteration, this could be the best sandwich not just in Boston but in the US. I'm sure there are better specimens in Italy, though. Long live the Caprese. read more

We went here for lunch today and such had high hopes. Unfortunately it was super disappointing. They had great customer service, but the food was inedible. I got the tuna panini, which was extremely fishy tasting and had celery in it and the occasional inconsistent crunch was not helpful for the texture. It just didn't taste right. My fiance got an italian sub and pulled off a whole bunch of mortadella and revealed a layer of salami that was maybe two VERY thin pieces thick. He also didn't eat his. So I'm already hungry again and will be ordering elsewhere. At a deli place especially, get your meat and meat portions correct! I would have been happier going to Subway. read more

this was my first time ordering here and i am blown away. i love the combo of meats on their italian. i don't like capicola so it's wonderful to find a trio that doesn't include it. the mortadella is divine. the bread is sturdy but not overly hard - good crust but tender, soft and chewy. most italian subs in the area don't fully slice the bread so it is meat wedged into the corner and veggies on top, which makes it hard to fold back over. structurally this one was fully sliced so it could be neatly arranged in layers. very well done. the vegetables were crisp and fresh, very high quality. even the lettuce had strong integrity upon arrival. good to note that i live 8.8 miles from this place and it delivered on time and in perfect condition (this is why i included a photo of packaging) i cannot wait to try some of their other options as the italian sub is usually my litmus test for whether a deli is for real. read more

Maybe I've just ordered the wrong thing on the wrong day or maybe Vincenzo's isn't my thing. My husband and I have been in Dedham a lot recently spending time with our new grandson. We love a great sandwich shop and I was pretty excited to read the reviews for two nearby highly rated options in Dedham. Both times we've done takeout at Vincenzo's and maybe that's made the difference so I'll say that upfront. Particularly for a hot sandwich, which when wrapped to go, often takes away from the quality of the final product. I've tried the Panino and most recently the chicken parm. Both were good but definitely not as amazing as I expected based on other Yelp reviews. The panino, a caprese with prosciutto was good sized but for me, too much prosciutto overwhelmed the mozzarella which was the draw for me. Then the chicken parm.... chewy and rubbery. So disappointing! I make chicken parm myself and just expected better! I think its time to try the other highly rated Italian deli in town! read more

Holy crap! I am in the process of cooking their homemade hot Italian sausage as we speak and I took a nub off to try it. I am in HEAVEN! The BEST sausage I've had in my life. Only $5 a pound, you can't beat it. I'm so glad I walked in there today after the Farmer's Market. I hope to be back to try a sandwich in the very near future. After reading all the reviews and was pumped to try this place. Have to say left pretty disappointed and still hungry. Let's see where can I start. The portions could be a lot more for the price u pay. Ended up going with the ramon which had Turkey,roasted red peppers and provalone. No sauce No anything. Lucky if you got two slices of Turkey and couldn't figure out Why it said red peppers when they had orange and red on it. The sandwich was bland and had No taste to wow u over with upon first bite. They definitely could ha e been stuffed more. Friend had the breaded cutlet chicken sandwich and was not impressed either. Parking can be tough to find since they share a lot with other businesses in the area. Staff was OK nothing friendly nor real helpful but it didn't bother me. I had the pleasure of eating at this wonderful Italian deli and specialty store a few days ago. I had the Caprese sandwich. The fresh mozzarella is homemade and AMAZING!! My friend had the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich, which was also delicious. The Italian bread is mouthwatering. It was really fresh and perfect for the sandwiches. While we were there we had the pleasure of meeting the owners. They are very hardworking and friendly. I could see myself being personal friends with them. The ambiance of this place is really happy and upbeat. We sat next to four gentleman who were speaking in Italian and seemed to really be enjoying their meals as well. It was a lot of fun. I would be terribly remiss if I did not mention their OUT OF THIS WORLD homemade mini cannollis. In my opinion the are better than Mike's cannolli in the North End. Seriously! I also noticed that they had a lot of Italian Specialty items that would make really nice gift basket fillers. Speaking of gift baskets, I also noticed that they have some ready made so if you need a quick gift for a foodie there's an idea for you. They also have gift certificates which would also be a great gift for anyone. I'm lucky because I live close and I am going to go back often. It's nice to support local, family owned businesses. I've been to many delis in the area, including Tutto Italiano and The Linden Store in Wellesley - both respectable locations, but Vincenzo's is in another league. The ingredients are incredible, from the bread to the prosciutto and mozzarella, the tomato sauce in the chicken parm, even the chicken is incredible. The cannoli and biscotti are the best I've had, again there's no comparison to anything I'm used to eating - this stuff is hand made, fresh, legit. Prices are lower than other specialty Delis - the menu is short and focused on the best options and I'm assuming this helps to keep costs down. There are some tables and seats inside (and outside if the weather is good), has a very nice atmosphere. They also sell specialty goods imported from Italy. Ah-mazing! The husband and I were looking for a place to grab a quick lunch. He was craving a classic Italian sub. I wanted any type of sandwich, really. Enter, Vincenzo's. Thanks to Yelp, we found this place and choose to give it a shot. Boy, am I happy we did! The place is kind of small, but in a classic Italian, Little Italy, maybe-even-actually-in-Italy way. There is a classic Mediterranean sea-side hilltop town mural on one wall, "Italy" aprons and flags hanging from the ceiling. Glass butcher displays offer up cuts of meat and cheese and a wall of shelves house various imported Italian grocery goods, from pasta to cookies. Eight to ten tables litter the shop, and a counter at the back is where you place your order, from a handwritten chalkboard menu above. They offer paninis and classic sandwiches (and probably more that I didn't notice, I was so fixated on my own meal). Husband got the classic Italian and I ordered up a Porchetta panini. My god, that sandwich was good! The bread was soft, fluffy and crispy in all the right places. The meat was tender and juicy. Jut the right amount of broccoli rabe and provolone made this one of the best, albeit simple, sandwiches I've ever had. Sometimes, less is more. The shop was full of all walks of life; from a table of older (actually Italian - they were speaking it!) regulars in the back corner (I'm sure it's "their" table) to another table of loud, middle-aged women gawking over each others' grandchildren, to business men in suits to down and dirty townie-folk in their worn-in, backwards Sox hat. I've eaten all over Italy and I have to say, no other place I have been to in Boston, i.e. the North End, matches the authentic "tastes" and "textures" I've experienced at this little eatery. And it's always consistently wonderful. I love how they can take something so simple, but with the right seasoning and care, turn it into something exceptional. Even their pastas are amazing. AMAZING the food is so fresh and delicious. The pizza, the sandwiches , the pastries and the incredible friendly help. The owner is always avaible and boy can he cook. The best chef in Dedham. The take out/ home platters are great not to mention the price and the portions he is really italian (you will see from th eportions that are served). VInceno's also has italian groceries that you can only find in ITALY. The cheese are home made and you need to try the capprese with the fresh Mozzarella and the sub rolls the best around. If you want a great meal at an afforable price there is no other place around town you feel like you are in Italy even with the furniture. The salads great and the pasta as well. Nice little place a bit off the beaten path. Very friendly and quick service. I had a very good caprese sandwich there. I have also tried the meatball sandwich. It is good but I prefer my meatball subs on a soft sub roll, just a personal preference. I had some very good cannoli and tiramisu also. Fresh filled cannoli, the only way it should be done. I should have thought to tell them no powdered sugar though, and the tiramisu needs a bit less powder on top. I hate inhaling powder as I am trying to eat my desserts. I was looking for the change at the counter as I was paying, about $.40 and the guy told me don't worry about it, even though he could see I had dollars on the counter to cover it.
