Said the shoes were not enclosed. However when I bought the go kart ticket they said it was not open toe.

Went there the Sunday before labor day. Got there about 7pm. I was relieved to see the parking lot kind of empty. It was our first time here so I wasn't sure what to expect. From the outside this place looks fun. There's a water feature and the mini golf. Inside was a little small but it wasn't packed. We went to the ticket counter and I purchased 2 go kart tickets. The person at the counter informed me that everyone needs to have closed toe shoes to ride the go karts. I told her we did. I asked the person at the counter for a suggestion on buying a game card. She told me most of the games were 10 cents so I should be fine with a $10 card. I went against her suggestion and purchased a $25 game card. We went outside and stood in line for the double go karts. The line was pretty long. Apparently that's where the crowd was. After about 15 minutes the go karts pulled in. They opened the gates to let people in and I kid you not....our place in line did not change. After about another 10 minutes in the snail pace queue I decided it would be best if we played some games inside and waited till the go kart line subsided. Back inside I realized there were not many options for games. Also, the majority of the games were $1.00 per play. I guess the employee who told me most the games were 10 cents is new. Not many of the games were kid friendly. After about an hour we returned outside to the go kart line and it's just as long. There is a police officer standing in line. I ask him if he's waiting for a ride and he said "No this ride is closed." I am horrified. Its 8pm. How can the line be closed? Thankfully there was a family of 4 who said they were leaving so we were able to take their place. So we've been waiting in line for an hour. Literally. It turns out only 3 of the double go karts are in service. The ONLY reason I'm committed to waiting in line is because my son will have a conniption if we walk away. We get to the front of the line after an hour and the attendant tells me that my son can't ride because his shoes are not enclosed. I look at him in disbelief. So there is a huge problem with communication in this place because the person who sold me the ticket said no open toe shoes. My son starts having a melt down because he doesn't understand why we can't go on the ride. I ask the attendant if they sell swim shoes. He said yes. I run to the counter. They tell me all they have is kids size 13. My son is 3 and wears size 8. I buy the shoes anyway for $15.99, slip them on his feet like a pair of flippers and run outside so we can get to ride. The go karts are already going and the attendant takes our ticket and let's me join the group. We literally make 1 round on the track and it's time to come in. So I still have that other ticket. I go ask for a refund. I get it. The guy at the counter is nice enough to issue a refund for the swim shoes too. Hence the 1 star in this review. This place is a Hot Mess. An unorganized mess. I will not return.

The entrance ... excuse the pic from being turned sideways.

Super Duper fun once the kids and I got a hang of this place. We started with the bumper boats and then went on to the Go karts and then miniature golf. I have a 14yr old Son, shall I use emojis to explain... lol, just kidding but he's like any other teenager whom you have to drag out of the house while he holds on to the couch for dear life while scratching the filling out of it. And to top it off, we are watching one of our 10yr old nieces this summer and she's the same way! Nonetheless, these two came alive yesterday at this place (07/12/19) and we actually had great fun together. If I have to recommend anything, it would be to go on a Friday after 6pm where you can pay $17.99 per person for all unlimited access to the outside activities. Which is what we did and I must say, it was awesome and I loved the look of the mini golf course when it lit up at night. The place was easy to find, the staff (majority young) were friendly and helpful, even the managers and they made our experience that much better! Can't wait to return (really brought the kid out in me).

I'd say this place is mostly good for the 2 mini golf courses and go karts. BTW, you cannot have two adults ride together. Yeah. The significant other and I tried. Lol. There were also games where you can win tickets like Main, D&B, etc. But the choices weren't as vast. The batting cage seemed to the most unique thing here. There was also the bumper boats, but they were closed due to the season. It starts back up in March though. Overall, this is a cheap place for some fun, but don't expect much since the facility has suffered wear and tear due to aging.

Quite surprised this place is still standing after all these years. I remember visiting when I was a kid! They've added Buccaneer Cove now, which is a large outdoor water play area. I won't call it a water park, but it does have a slide and looks quite entertaining for kids under 10. I actually purchased a groupon...$23 for 2 champion passes and $46 for 4. The champion passed include unlimited attractions (bumper boats, go karts, and mini golf). It did not include the arcade and Buccaneer Cove (additional $10 pp). So for what I paid, I was quite pleased. It kept the kids busy and they enjoyed themselves. Their only complaint was the lines took way too long to get on the rides and the bumper boats smelled like urine! I'm sure a smaller child went potty on one of them and it wasn't cleaned. Overall I was impressed at how Malibu has held up after all these years. It doesn't look worn down. Arcade and bathrooms were maintained and appeared clean. The workers were nice and I'd take them back to visit with another Groupon of course. Otherwise, it would be overpriced.

    Go karting.

Do they have batting cages still and what condition are they in?

Yes, they have many batting cages. They have different speeds and are in pretty good condition. You have to pay inside at the counter to access them. They also provide helmets for your convenience, some are in better condition than others.

Can I a 3 years old go on their own Kart? Thanks!

Thank you for your question! Go Kart drivers must be 54" to drive. Go Kart passengers must be 40" tall with an adult 18 years or older driving.

Is the place a good place for my 5 year old?

No this place is for pre teens to me

The staff was extremely patient and helpful--even when we didn't fully understand the concept after a few explanations, they encouraged us to just jump in and even walked us through a game. After that, we caught on quickly and had a blast. We were able to walk in with almost no wait, and anytime we needed a room it was less than 2 minutes. The concept is very interactive and fun--60 minutes was the perfect amount of time to explore without feeling rushed or burned out. Lockers with keys were provided, which was convenient. I understand why drinks may not be available inside given the tech and setup, but that's the only small improvement I'd note. A couple rooms had a slight odor issue, but nothing that took away from the experience. Overall, a solid 5-star experience--highly recommend for groups, families, or anyone looking for something active and different.

However, this location really missed the mark all around. The bowling and games in particular are not well-maintained. - Food: We ordered the cheese stuffed crust pizza but they later told us the kitchen had run out (even though it was 6:30pm at the beginning of the week). The seasonal fruit that came with the kids meal was a very meager portion of 2 tiny watermelon pieces. - Bowling: They initially gave us Lane 5 but the right bumper was stuck in the up position. The worst part was that they admitted they knew that it was broken. On top of that, just a short while later, they gave the same lane to a new group!! I couldn't believe it. They reassigned us to Lane 6, which also had a broken bumper (half of the left bumper was gone). - Games: many of the games were broken and we wasted game points on them. The VR headset kept getting loose when we tried to put it in the tightest position. The basketball game to the very right didn't register points. The soccer game was not working at all. The bouncing tile game was missing tiles. One of the large basketball games got the balls stuck in the net. Overall, I would not recommend this location and would try to avoid it if I could.

I came here on a work trip so there was a LOT going on: food buffets, bar mania, games of all sorts. Had I come here with a group of friends to play games and sip on a drink I think I would have had a different (read: better) experience. That said, I appreciate that B&B exists and what it's trying to do. Despite being here as part of a big group, the staff was perfectly lovely and patient. That's not always the case when it comes to dealing with large groups. The food menu is confusingly large and caters to about every taste.* I got a little grossed out at the thought of eating around so much dust. Board games and consoles are dirty/dusty. They show both easily. Eating around/in that didn't appeal to me. What *did* appeal to me, though, was the thought of drinking a potion. From the glass (straight up D&D) to the color (blue), I was all in. The Mana Potion had a lot of the right elements (gin, blue curacao, elderflower liqueur, lemon, and Sprite) but the extra zhuzh for our party was team too much. The edible glitter made the drink a bit thick and didn't do wonders for my stomach. It's a tough criticism because I was here for an extra sparkly drink/potion. Definitely on brand. For me, Battle & Brew is an odd space that could benefit from some editing. But, it looks like I am in the minority. I can agree with not being the target audience. So, gamers, have at it! *I didn't experience much in the way of GF/DF/VG options but, again, target audience.

I was truly excited to try this place because it is such a cool concept. Went yesterday for dinner…read morewith my husband, daughter, and my friend and her daughter. We opted for the board games for $7 so that we could play together at the table while we ate, which is a great idea in theory but the execution left a lot to be desired. Most of the games we tried to play were old, dirty (yuck), and incomplete. For example, we were unable to play Guess Who because both the red and blue lineups were missing people and many of the people cards were torn into pieces. We were able to play What Do You Meme, but it was obvious that most of the meme cards were missing, so we had to stop abruptly when we ran out of new cards. Since people are eating and playing, effort should be made to keep the games clean, or at the very least, provide hand sanitizer at each table so that guests aren't grossed out about handling dirty game pieces in between grabbing bites of their sandwich or other finger food. I just feel like even though $7 for board game play is reasonable, it felt far less justifiable after experiencing the issues I just explained. If you are going to charge people any amount to use the games, ensuring that those games are complete and sanitary seems like a reasonable expectation. Service was okay but most of the food did not even meet the okay standard. We started with mozerrela sticks, which were okay. The fries with all our meals were obviously the frozen bagged kind you can find at any grocery store. They added seasoning but it's not enough to hide the fact that you are eating frozen fries at a sit down restaurant. My husband ordered the Don't Call It Hotlanta chicken sandwich and I think that was probably the best tasting thing we all ordered. I ordered the ATLA with cheese and did not like it very much. The bread was too crispy, the cheese was cold, and the overall flavor just didn't do it for me. My daughter ordered the mac and cheese with a side of fries. It does say on the menu that it is Kraft mac and cheese. She didn't complain, but she's 12 and not too picky so no surprise there. I had a soda water, my daughter had a sprite, and my husband had two mixed drinks (I think margaritas). Our total bill including the $7 for a crappy board game experience came out to $94 before tip. It was not worth it and I would never return for dinner nor can I recommend that others consider this a worthy dinner spot. Nevertheless, it would be a cool spot to come to with a big group of friends to play the computer and video games while enjoying a few drinks and maybe an appetizer or two. I could see that being a fun experience and would be open to returning to play the video games with friends or maybe one of their event nights like trivia that sounds like a good time, but I won't come back specifically for dinner because there are far better place to get a far superior meal for that price around here. So, at the end of the day, two stars is my review for the dinner and board game experience, but it would probably be closer to a 4 for just video games and drinks or events because I don't think there is anything else like it around here. I am not 100% on pricing for the video games but I think I saw something like $20 per hour, which I think might be a little pricey. However, I am not a big gamer myself so I may not be the best judge of that.
