We will truly miss this place. It was a staple in the community and we loved to go here for a family getaway on the weekend. Yes, it has seen better days, but we didn't want it to shutdown... When I was you younger my parents would bring me here often. Still looks the same with some minor changes. I brought my nieces here during their spring break. They enjoyed themselves thoroughly for sure! The race cars of course still fun to do! We played mini golf and plenty of games. They're affordable and all of the games rang from .25-$1.00 can't beat that at all! We didn't eat there so Im not sure how the food is, but the games and activities were cool and all 3 of us enjoyed our time there. read more

Went there the Sunday before labor day. Got there about 7pm. I was relieved to see the parking lot kind of empty. It was our first time here so I wasn't sure what to expect. From the outside this place looks fun. There's a water feature and the mini golf. Inside was a little small but it wasn't packed. We went to the ticket counter and I purchased 2 go kart tickets. The person at the counter informed me that everyone needs to have closed toe shoes to ride the go karts. I told her we did. I asked the person at the counter for a suggestion on buying a game card. She told me most of the games were 10 cents so I should be fine with a $10 card. I went against her suggestion and purchased a $25 game card. We went outside and stood in line for the double go karts. The line was pretty long. Apparently that's where the crowd was. After about 15 minutes the go karts pulled in. They opened the gates to let people in and I kid you not....our place in line did not change. After about another 10 minutes in the snail pace queue I decided it would be best if we played some games inside and waited till the go kart line subsided. Back inside I realized there were not many options for games. Also, the majority of the games were $1.00 per play. I guess the employee who told me most the games were 10 cents is new. Not many of the games were kid friendly. After about an hour we returned outside to the go kart line and it's just as long. There is a police officer standing in line. I ask him if he's waiting for a ride and he said "No this ride is closed." I am horrified. Its 8pm. How can the line be closed? Thankfully there was a family of 4 who said they were leaving so we were able to take their place. So we've been waiting in line for an hour. Literally. It turns out only 3 of the double go karts are in service. The ONLY reason I'm committed to waiting in line is because my son will have a conniption if we walk away. We get to the front of the line after an hour and the attendant tells me that my son can't ride because his shoes are not enclosed. I look at him in disbelief. So there is a huge problem with communication in this place because the person who sold me the ticket said no open toe shoes. My son starts having a melt down because he doesn't understand why we can't go on the ride. I ask the attendant if they sell swim shoes. He said yes. I run to the counter. They tell me all they have is kids size 13. My son is 3 and wears size 8. I buy the shoes anyway for $15.99, slip them on his feet like a pair of flippers and run outside so we can get to ride. The go karts are already going and the attendant takes our ticket and let's me join the group. We literally make 1 round on the track and it's time to come in. So I still have that other ticket. I go ask for a refund. I get it. The guy at the counter is nice enough to issue a refund for the swim shoes too. Hence the 1 star in this review. This place is a Hot Mess. An unorganized mess. Super Duper fun once the kids and I got a hang of this place. We started with the bumper boats and then went on to the Go karts and then miniature golf. I have a 14yr old Son, shall I use emojis to explain... lol, just kidding but he's like any other teenager whom you have to drag out of the house while he holds on to the couch for dear life while scratching the filling out of it. And to top it off, we are watching one of our 10yr old nieces this summer and she's the same way! Nonetheless, these two came alive yesterday at this place (07/12/19) and we actually had great fun together. If I have to recommend anything, it would be to go on a Friday after 6pm where you can pay $17.99 per person for all unlimited access to the outside activities. Which is what we did and I must say, it was awesome and I loved the look of the mini golf course when it lit up at night. The place was easy to find, the staff (majority young) were friendly and helpful, even the managers and they made our experience that much better! I'd say this place is mostly good for the 2 mini golf courses and go karts. BTW, you cannot have two adults ride together. Yeah. The significant other and I tried. Lol. There were also games where you can win tickets like Main, D&B, etc. But the choices weren't as vast. The batting cage seemed to the most unique thing here. There was also the bumper boats, but they were closed due to the season. It starts back up in March though. So, this was a horrible experience. IT WAS SO CROWDED! We were trying to find something to do as a family. The seat belts were not working well and my son fell out of the go kart. And he got run over Also it was really crowded. Some kids sprayed my daughter with a squirt gun in the eye. My other kid drowned in the play pool by falling of the floaters I came here with 3 kids and left with none.just note: This was way worse than losing my kids but I went to the ladies room and a little kid peed on my leg! First let me start by saying, they need to hire workers that are good with kids. This is a kid friendly park. Second, instead of sitting in the chair by the slides the workers should be by the slides my child was drowning at the bottom of the slide and luckily I was going down to catch him anyways and found him struggling under the water I told the workers that they need to change something about that bc it could happen to other children. And all they said was did they check the height limit ( like duh the guy that did it was very strict on the rules and had a attitude). Bring your children somewhere else. And honestly if you have small children there's only one slide they can go down the rest is stairs. read more

Quite surprised this place is still standing after all these years. I remember visiting when I was a kid! They've added Buccaneer Cove now, which is a large outdoor water play area. I won't call it a water park, but it does have a slide and looks quite entertaining for kids under 10. I actually purchased a groupon...$23 for 2 champion passes and $46 for 4. The champion passed include unlimited attractions (bumper boats, go karts, and mini golf). It did not include the arcade and Buccaneer Cove (additional $10 pp). So for what I paid, I was quite pleased. It kept the kids busy and they enjoyed themselves. Their only complaint was the lines took way too long to get on the rides and the bumper boats smelled like urine! I'm sure a smaller child went potty on one of them and it wasn't cleaned. Overall I was impressed at how Malibu has held up after all these years. It doesn't look worn down. Arcade and bathrooms were maintained and appeared clean. The workers were nice and I'd take them back to visit with another Groupon of course. Otherwise, it would be overpriced. read more

Fun facility and reasonable prices however the mosquitoes are like something I've never experienced before on the mini golf course. There is an absolute onslaught of mosquitoes attacking every second. Everytime we looked down we saw 5+ mosquitoes swarming our legs and had to leave the course before completing. Definitely need to have their lawn sprayed/treated immediately, idk how anyone could enjoy themselves. read more

I just wanna be a Toys R Us Kid!!!! Ok maybe not so much....but the day I decided to visit Malibu Grand Prix I definitely did "just wanna be a kid" again...... and it certainly fulfilled that dream of mine. So this place is OTP (for all you anti-OTP'ers) and is tucked away so if you don't live around here you might not even know it existed. However, me and my boyfriend decided to enjoy the beautiful day and the beginning of Spring by going out for a friendly (yet competitive) game of none other than Miniature Golf. So we get there, and it's a Sunday, and granted there were a bunch of kids running around, it was still very enjoyable. So we enjoyed a round of golf, and decided against the bumper boats because we were not in the mood to get soaking wet and have our clothes stick to us. This place has plenty of things for you (or your kids) enjoy. From bumper boats, two different go kart tracks, miniature golf, batting cages, and of course an arcade. With all that....no wonder it is ever kids paradise!!!! To top of our "kiddie" filled day, we sat down and enjoyed some slushies at their food court before heading home. I don't know about the boyfriend, but I sure did enjoy forgetting the woes of the "real world" for a couple of hours and enjoyed acting like a kid again. read more

I love go kart racing! The line on this particular Saturday was average in length. The day was hot but waiting in line was tolerable and worth the race. There were people different ages. Be prepared and wear closed toe shoes if you'd want to participate, though. They are pretty strict about this. The ride attendants were efficient, loading people into a line of karts while one group raced. For the occasional driver that got stuck (ran into walls, ran into each other), there were attendants strategically placed to help them get back into the race. There are also two 18 holes mini golf course, each with increasing difficulty. There were bumper boats, batting cages, and arcade games. There is a new addition of a water park that looked enticing on a hot summer day. Staff was professional and efficient. And it kills me because I have such fond memories of Malibu from my growing up and from taking the kids when they were younger - and this should have been a great experience! Well, it was terrible. First, let's talk about pricing. Everything is a la carte unless you want to buy packages that don't make any sense. For $20 you can get unlimited mini golf and unlimited rides, but that doesn't include any video game tokens or Buccaneers Cove. To add BC, it's another $10 for an all day pass. So for $30, you get everything... oh wait, no tokens. The Starter Pass is $10 for a ride and a round of mini golf (who wants to play more than 1 round anyway?). You might want to play 2 if you want to play both courses. Oh yeah, none of these options include the batting cages either. By the way, just to enter the location of Buccaneers Cove, as an adult to sit and monitor your kids, you have to pay the $10 - can you say RIP OFF? I also handed over some cash for tokens - I can't remember how much, but whatever the best deal was. So let me start with our day. I took the kids (niece and nephew), who were in from out of town, for a fun day of running around. I bought 2 Starter Passes, 1 round of golf (for me) and 2 BC passes... oh wait, 3 BC passes. Had I known (not on the website anywhere), I would have dressed differently. We started with mini-golf and played a round and had quite a bit of fun, but the course it pretty run down and needs an overhaul. It has been used a lot. It is cute, with the around the world theme, but also a bit lackluster. Next up, the go-karts. Not well marked about who should go which direction for single riders, versus double riders. The rides are only 5 minutes long, but the kids had fun and I sat in the hot, hot sun waiting (while they waited under a covered area) as I hydrated. Now, I had brought in bottled ice waters for us, and these quickly dwindled in the hot sun. The kids rode and after we decided to go straight for BC. As we started to walk in, we were stopped by a kid and given the rules. Oh, and you can rent a cabana for $X, but sorry, they are all rented for the day. Okay, then why are you telling me? I found a couple of lounge chairs and we set our stuff down and the kids stripped to their bathing suits and off they went. Here is the problem - white asphalt. Not gray, white. What happens is the sun reflects off this and makes it hotter than Hades and causes sun stroke. How do I know? The Granny next to me passed out and the paramedics came. After about an hour, I had sweat off all I could muster and was suddenly cold. I had consumed all water I had brought with me AND purchased from the snack stand inside. Luckily, the kids were wet and hot and tired and hungry and ready to play some games. So we bailed on BC (it was crazy crowded for a Thursday). We walked inside and got in line (again) for drinks from the snack stand. One girl was running the entire thing - hundreds of people at MGP and ONE girl is working the snack counter. Not only does she get your order, take your money, but she fixes all the drinks and gets the food and hands it to you. 20+ minutes to get 3 bottles of water. Insane. It was one thing to go through this painful process the first time, but at this point, I had a bit of heat stroke and was about to pass out and couldn't form words. My niece took over (age 13) and managed the transaction, I think she even signed the credit card slip, got the waters and got me to a table. They went and played games while I recovered. Entire experience - crap. And for the money I payed - even worse. Hire someone more than high school aged kids, hire more than 1 for the snack bar. Renovate and clean the place up maybe? And consider some shade that you don't have to pay for at BC... let's not kill all the adults. Verdict, save you money and hang out at the neighborhood pool. read more

Worst experience. We wanted to be big kids last night and go do some go karts and other fun activities at Malibu. We saw a good deal on Groupon that we wanted to take advantage of. We all were so excited to get some racing in. It had just rained about an hour before we got there so we were hoping they still were open. We walked in and a manager said they still were and everything was running. A friend of mine had some open toe dressy flats on but they were secure on her foot. The manager saw them and said she wasn't allowed to drive the go karts with the shoes but there's a Walmart up the street. There wasn't a lot of people there so we figured we'd have time to get plenty of races in before dinner. So we jump in the car and went to Wally World so she could get some sneakers. After our thirty minute journey we got back and went in to redeem our Groupons. We waited about 10 mins at the counter until someone actually showed up. They immediately told us all the outside attractions were closed besides mini putt putt -___- . We were speechless bc we literally did that whole journey for nothing. I explained to him what the precious person had told us, he then said "Idk I just got back from break" then mentioned our Groupon don't expire. Didn't offer us anything extra for the inconvenience. Before we left I convinced them to Atleast get a round of mini putt putt in on them so we were able to do that. But we only played half the course because the mosquitoes out there are wild!! They swarmed us like crazy. They have so much potential there but definitely need to do some serious updating. Not sure if we will ever try to go back. read more

I came here for unlimited go-karts and mini golf. They had a Black Friday sale for $10 that was good for three months. We did the go karts twice then didn't feel like waiting in line anymore. I feel like having a number or assigned time slot like any other go-kart place is more efficient than waiting in line. They aren't particularly fast and the time board was broken. You could only tell how well you are doing by keeping tack of who you passed. They are still pretty decent for the price considering some go kart places I've seen can run up to $20 per race. The mini golf was ok. The course designs between the two were almost identical and very forgettable. You can tell that this place didn't age very well. The video gambling games are similar to the ones you see at Dave and Buster's or Stars and Strikes but in worse condition. The prizes were geared more towards the little kids. I feel like everything this place has other places can do better. The only thing unique at this place is the batting cage. Would I come here again? Nah. $10 sale for go karts and mini golf was a fun date time but we have no real reason to come back. read more

Norcross seemed like such a long ride from downtown Atlanta, but it was worth it. Malibu Grand Prix Norcross has go karts, bumper boats, batting cages, miniature golf, and a game room. The go kart rides seem to be the top attraction. There was a line of people waiting to have their turn driving on the course. If you have hair that's longer than shoulder length, they ask that you tie it up. Also, there's a height requirement to drive a go kart, otherwise you can be a passenger in the two-seater car. Sneakers are a must for go karting. They will not allow you to participate without them. There's no bumping; however, I did witness a few accidentally AND intentionally breaking the rule. The one person that was ignoring the rule was asked to leave the course. Once you're on the course, it's pure exhilaration! Some people thought it was a NASCAR race. It's not that serious. I also played a few arcade games in the game room. They have tons to choose. You have to purchase a game card and upload it with money to play. You get tickets when you win your game. The tickets are automatically uploaded on your card after each game and can be redeemed for prizes. All I'm going to say is that 100 tickets will get you a fun size bag of M&Ms. Real talk. Not even a full size. You need like 1000 tickets to get a stuff animal the size of your palm. But I wasn't expecting anything great, so I loaded up on the candy. Don't judge me. It was a great experience! I felt like a kid again, although I did get a bit queasy from the go karting. But you should totally go...karting and stuff. See what I did there? ;-) read more

Me and my family went here on 3/18/18 and for $25.00 each person you get unlimited go kart riding and mini golfing and also for $5.00 extra you get 2 hours of of unlimited video game time. This is a great place to take the kids and spend the day. Also, the food surprisingly was really good! We had cheese fries and a hot dog, it was very good. The only con(s) was there cashier that took our food order was dumb as bricks!!! He look to be a high school student but could not multi-task to safe his dumb life! Also, the bathroom was very nasty! Best price was the Groupon- use it because this place gets pricey quick! It was a sweltering 92 degrees out and the evil twin at the concessions counter wouldn't even give us free tap water, even though I spent $60 on food and snacks (hey dipping dots aren't cheap lol). They even charge 50 cents on $4 fountain drinks. Refills should be free on hot days. You get unlimited miniature golf, go karts & water bumper boats but it was so hot outside, families would just leave after a few holes. Be nice if they added misters to the LA and NY courses. Overall we had a fun time! We arrived at 6:45pm hoping to ride the go-karts a few times, play video games and do a little putting. .. We were told that there was an hour wait for go-karts so we only purchased one package. We purchased our tickets then stood in line for refreshments for twenty minutes. We received our TJ Hotdog Combo, Nacho Combo, super pretzel and large fries. Everything was served hot and quite good despite the wait. only complaint was that the order taking process should be faster and cashiers knowledgeable of packages and how to explain to customers. We putted for half an hour and then stood in line for go-karts for an hour. After riding it was closing time. Next time we'll go during the weekday to avoid lines. read more

First time visiting this spot and I was quite pleased. Great value for the experience. Check out local flavor for a huge savings especially if you have more than one child. I was able to get access to 2 go karts, 2 bumper boats plus 2 miniature golf for $20 and we were tired after that. Nice outing for a Saturday, not to mention it was cloudy which made it even better. I had family in town and I promised them I would take them to ride go-karts. Almost everywhere I looked was extremely expensive. I found this facility online, the prices are a lot cheaper than the other places. The places offers a lot more than go-karts, there are arcades, batting cages, boats, and a water park cove that was closed. The pricing is reasonable for all the amenities, and they offer packages. It seems like it would be a great place to have birthday parties for kids ages 8 to 14. My only complaint was the service. The people selling the packages we're friendly. But the go cart attendant didn't give the kids very much instruction. We only stayed for about 45 minutes, because there were some grown men that kinda creeped me out. read more

It's aighhhhttttttttt!!!!. I kinda expected more because I heard so me much of it. Don't get me wrong, it was still cool and all. Someone stated it best in a previous review, just have fun!!! When its like 205 degrees out there, the goal is going to be a lot tougher so that's my bad on that! Located off I-85 between Jimmy Carter & Indian trail lies this establishment. Has it's own private lot - free. Cool...Check! When you first walk in, you see the water bumper carts/tubes or whatever its called to the right. One patch of water looks like the North Atlantic Ocean (dirty) and another patch looks like the South Pacific Ocean (clean). When you walk through the door, the arcade area is not bad. Looks like they stole the Dave & Buster games and put it into a smaller/compact room. Games like Deal or No Deal, your traditional shoot em up arcade games, Air Hockey (that's my isshhhh right there... who wants some?) and many more! They have a cafeteria style for food. I didn't try that so no feedback on that. The main attractions there is: Minature Golf, Go Karts, Batting Cage, Water Bumper cars and the Grand Prix. The Mini Golf has three different courses. Not bad. Definitely bring a partner or go with a group to get the most fun out of it. The Go Karts were a major disappointment. Totally dominated by kids. Nothing against the kids or anything but it isn't competitive at all. The track is so-so. Expectations was let down. The Grand Prix probably was the biggest let down as the cars are super slow and it was the most expensive activity on the property. The costs overall were fine. Great for the family, great to bring the kids between ages (7-15), cool for date night for someone who is into activities, being active. Don't bring the bougie girlfriend if you a dude and if you're a competitive female - do not bring a guy who isn't ready to put in work. I say go, enjoy, have fun, make the most of it.
