It is located in a house that has been converted into a retail shop. It is quaint and unassuming. It has some major brand inventory--but the majority of its stock is clothing and accessories of their own design. They have some designs that feature a "bridge" (a nod to the nearby bridge that crosses the Anahulu River), and some designs that feature a rooster (a wink to all of those feral chickens that you see running around). You can go to their website for online shopping--but the online shop does not have all of the items available in store. Sometimes I think the term "authentic" is overused nowadays; but the shop does feel "of a place".

Not only are the prices reasonable, but the service is great too. They made sure we had everything we needed for our kayaking adventure. We didn't need instruction as we're experienced, but it was nice to know that it was offered if needed. They also rent SUP's. The actual Surf N Sea store has SO MUCH stuff...clothes, swimwear, flip flops, and more. They even sell water and sodas. Plus, they have a bathroom. Not sure if it's for everyone, but they offered it to us she once we were going to kayak. The service in here is great too! If in the area, stop in Surf N Sea, you'll find everything you need and more!

If you're looking to do any water activities and don't have the gear, this is a great spot on the North Shore. I mostly come here to shop, they have all the best surf / beach brands. Which is great since most surf brands have closed down their physical locations. They have racks on racks of awesome swimsuits and clothes. I love looking through all of their surf competition shirts. I think the last time we bought a surf comp shirt we even got the matching poster for free! I also bought my short fins here and was able to find a really cute pair. The service here was super nice and helpful when looking for a pair of fins. Now I'm in the market for longer freediving fins and this is the spot I'm gonna check out the next time I'm in Haleiwa.

The employees seemed irritated, avoided making eye contact, and didn't create a welcoming atmosphere. This store is in a high traffic tourist area, so providing friendly and welcoming customer service should be a priority. A simple greeting or offer of assistance goes a long way and can make a big difference in a customer's experience. I hope the staff receive additional customer service training, as a more positive and attentive approach would benefit both customers and the business.

He was able to give some good instruction to our newer paddle board users and quick directions for navigating the river. The river side is so calm and peaceful. We saw plenty of sea turtles too! If you go under the bridge to the river side you can feel the difference in the pull but it was still so pretty and easy to navigate! I actually made the whole loop twice within the 2 hour time frame so I could see more turtles. It was the best! Life jackets are available if needed, locker rental was only 2.00, and Jason was so awesome! I would highly recommend!

However, we took a day trip to Haleiwa and realize they had a second location in this town. The store is very easy to spot. Please note that parking in this area is kinda difficult so expect to walk a little bit. The store is pretty small but offers a wide variety of t-shirts, stickers, tote bags, key chains, etc. This store is not cheap by any means, so be ready to drop some serious coin here. However, I really liked that they had some unique designs specific to Haleiwa, which in my opinion made them a great souvenir for Snoopy fans.

When I went in late 2023, they had plushie keychains but in February 2026 there was only one (unpopular) character left and it was at his location. However, overall items were the same both times at both locations. And this time around both locations had a tote bag that was unavailable when I first visited. If you want to soak it all in, I say consider what you want to buy (especially since prices are quite outrageously high), and pace yourself and take your time comparing your options. Service overall has been alright, nothing very notable. I do get the feeling that they might be overwhelmed at times. I've noticed that the shop tends to be filled with Japanese tourists (and the store is Japanese owned).
