Pricing isn't cheap, but it's not higher than you would expect either. Many of the T-shirts are marked as fitted shirts, but to me they are normal. I don't fit into fitted shirts too well, and even after a wash, the shirt fits perfectly fine, so you are unlikely to have to size up. If you're in the area and are on board with the mission and message, you'd be remiss not to stop in!

Of course there are lacy beach cover ups, t-shirts, totes, hats, and even some jewelry, most with colors of the sea. With the racks of clothing there doesn't seem to be a code for how the items are organized! Different colors, lengths and patterns of different items all on the same rack in no apparent order. Take your time to go through them and find one that speaks to you. They really are quite pretty. The young lady working that day was super friendly, engaging in conversation as I shopped. I particularly loved the light maxi dresses in various beach patterns - tie dye, florals, soft colors. And the jewelry, specifically the long dangly earrings with pale blue stones. I have so many earrings in colors of the sea that I had to pass on them this trip. But I will be back! It was our first time visiting the island, and he immediately made us feel welcome. When we mentioned we were new to the area, he walked us over to the map and took the time to explain the different spots around the North Shore and where we should go. Christian was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many helpful tips and pointers. You could tell he truly knew what he was talking about, and he explained everything in a way that made us feel confident and excited to explore. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and left the shop feeling prepared. The most impressive part is that we later found out he had just started working there and is only 17 years old. The level of professionalism, knowledge, and genuine kindness he showed at such a young age is remarkable. The owners of North Shore Surf Shop are very lucky to have him on their team, and we wanted to make sure his effort didn't go unnoticed. The shop itself has everything you need for a fun day exploring the island. We rented snorkel gear for $20 each for the day, which was such a great deal. We also added life vests for $10 each, which gave us extra peace of mind while we were out in the water. They also have lockers available for $10, which was super convenient for storing our belongings while we were out snorkeling. The entire rental and return process was very smooth and seamless. We're so glad we stopped in and even happier that we met Christian. He truly made the experience memorable. Mahalo!

And we have a store here in Hawaii too--located along Ward Ave between Waimanu and Kawaiahao Street with plenty of unshaded parking. The inside is very open, clean, cool, and comfortable. Everything was quite organized and each section was spacious. The first time I came here I couldn't really understand how most of the clothes aren't even for Hawaii weather..... or Hawaii pockets.... unless you travel to many places to do winter sports and activities. Funny enough, I received a gift card for Pantagonia shortly after my first visit. Now that I need to actually buy something. I focused on the casual, running/training, ocean activity areas. Needless to say, everything was quite expensive in my opinion. The quality is there and the clothes do feel similar to other brands. Is it worth THAT much though? My co-worker says this place is like the Lululemon for outdoors. Sounds about right. Overall, this store was really nice, cool, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. He was informed by an employee of San Lorenzo's that the an employee of Response Parking Management called her personally, to ask if our car was new in the lot. Then the towing company proceeded to come tow our car, bastards!!! I am disabled and my husband went to go get my wheelchair out of the trunk, when we came back, 15 minutes later, it had been towed!!!! It is not ethical or legal to personally call a business establishment to see if their lot had just gotten a "fresh car" to come and tow. It is legal for an employee of the business to call a tow company to have it towed, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND! They charged us $180 to get the car out. Stupid tow company and shop owners are definitely going to lose business if they keep up with this towing racket!It's a total scam to get tourists to part with their money, and I am calling the Hawaii Consumer protection agency about this. Don't go into this bikini shop because they WILL rat you out.
