Amber followed up immediately with an email providing details of what should be done prior to the appointment, i.e. shaving, exfoliating, etc. The day before, I received a text reminder. Nice touch. After arriving onsite I met Amber. Big, bright smile and immediately I was comfortable. I'm not modest, but the fact remains that you're getting down to your skivvies in front of a stranger, so feeling at ease that quickly is a gift. She thinks of every detail, explains what she is doing during application and still is able to work in some fun chit chat . She even put a pre-violet spray on my skin to counter the red (Irish baby!). Amber is a true professional, blending my feet and heels afterwards with a soft blender. It's the next morning as I write this, zero orange (miracle!), the color is a golden-I've-been-laying-on-the-beach-for-a-week-brown. The only tan technician is the owner, she cranks out mediocre tans every 15 minutes. If that's her business model, fine. What's not fine - actually disgusting - is her customer service. I have been probably 10 times and bought packages. I would have stopped going long ago but had a package to finish. She is always rude upon arrival, rushes clients, and makes passive aggressive comments if you are 1 minute late or canceled your last appointment. And she doesn't let of go...she makes rude, snide comments the entire time you are naked in front of her. My last straw was today. Actually - I am not even using my last session if anyone wants it. I arrived for a 1:30 appointment and she was behind by 15 minutes I politely asked the 1:15 I'd she would mind switching because I had a flight to catch. The prior client was nice enough to switch. I had not been in the room for 30 seconds before she opened the door while I was undressing. I let her know I was not quite ready and her response was, "You're the one in a rush, just waiting on you." in an extremely rude tone and slammed the door. Once I was ready on the towel, I asked if she had adhesive foot covers so the color does not dye the bottom of my feet. Her annoyed answer was "NOPE!" as she tossed my flip flops against the wall. As if this is not enough, about 20 minutes after leaving she text me with a message that read: My client that switched with you said you didnt say Thank You. Kinda rude." First, I did. Regardless, this completly innapropriate communication from a service provider. I could go on...every time i have gone i have told myself I wouldn't go again but the cheap tans kept me coming back to be mistreated, while naked, by somoene I am paying to recieve a service from.

Appointment & questions: I sent a yelp-msg to make an appointment & I got an answer immediately. Also the day and time I was looking for was available - so very happy with that. The staff is super nice and helped me out with any question I had. (Never got a professional tan before, so I had a bunch). Thank you! :-) Parking: I recommend taking an Uber or Lyft, because to find a park at Melrose is a little hard. I took a Lyft & that was very comfortable for me. The shop has wifi, so if you are a foreigner like me & stuck without cellular, you are able to get a ride back without searching for a Starbucks. Treatment: I got the tan from Nicole (I hope I remember your name right - I'm so bad with names. :-/ ). She was great! Super nice, asked me what I was looking for, informed me about everything she's gonna do and how I have to treat my tan at home to have the best and long lasting results. Because u will still have some spraycolor on your skin it can look a little muddy - this was completely gone after I took a shower. It came out super even & not orange at all!
