A very cute little book store at the Malibu Village. After walking around the whole village I came across this bookstore which I hadn't noticed on my past visits. What a nice find. I love books and bookstores are my favorites to shop from. I'm not an online shopper for books. This store carries variety of popular books, all new books. I asked if they have used book and the said no. A great place to shop for gifts as well. Great customer service. This will be a new stop for me every time I'm at Malibu Village.

I mean it's a bookstore right near the beach...I don't need to say much! This was my daughter's and I last stop in California before we headed home and it was cute. It is a tiny tiny store, so I was shocked to see that they had such a collection, and the book sellers were friendly and helpful. We recommend!

They also have a small section with DVDs and CDs, which was such a fun dose of late-'90s and early-2000s nostalgia. I loved it. One of my favorite features was their "Surprise Reads" section. The books are wrapped so you can't see the cover, and each one has a short description of the story or theme instead. It encourages you to choose a book based on the synopsis rather than the cover, which I think is such a fun idea. I've discovered some fantastic books through "Surprise Reads," so I was excited to see they had a section dedicated to them. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They helped me look for a series (The Telesa or Covenant series) that I am trying to get. Unfortunately they didn't have the series but hopefully in the future. The location is great as it is at a mall close to coffee shops to grab you a book and head on for coffee or tea to read and enjoy.

Great atmosphere, cool staff, and really good book selection! Love their social media book…read morerecommendations as well - that's how they lure me into the store. I love their tote bag discount and stamp cards, and if you love books, you'll end up racking up a lot of stamp cards before being able to use them all They also host a lot of fun events like author signings, book bedazzling, and trivia nights. The store is located in the heart of The Village in Topanga and there's ample parking. If you want to read your haul immediately, you'll find a lot of seats just outside the store. The store is also pet-friendly except on days they have pet guests, and they usually post a sign outside.

I stumbled upon a post they did which was in solidarity with a group of people and seeing that our values were aligned I knew this was a local small business that I needed to be supporting from here on out. I came midweek to shop and look around, and I had a great experience. It's a smaller bookstore, but they did have a lot to choose from! I was especially happy to see that they keep up with new and trending authors/books that come out. But of course, they also had a broad selection of every type of book you could think of. Being a smaller independent bookstore they don't have mass quantity though so if you find a book you like you should grab it because they only have a copy or two of each. I found that the pricing was comparable to anywhere else but again when you shop here you're supporting local small businesses so even if it was a little pricier, it would be worth it to me. They had a cute child's/kids section in the back so it would definitely be a great place to bring your little one to look around or read a story. The vibes are welcoming, but I also appreciate when staff leave you to look around without standing over your shoulder. The gal working behind the register was super nice and checked me out with quickness, that I was in and out without issue. Nice people work here, they have a decent selection and overall it was a cute little shop that I will be back to support again soon.

It's clean, thoughtfully put together, and has a beautiful selection of books, crystals, oils, candles, incense, and jewelry. Definitely a great place to browse and take your time. The only thing that threw me off a bit was that the person at the front (near the spiral staircase entrance) was having a full dinner at the register when I walked in. I completely understand needing to eat, but it made the space feel a little less open for interaction. I noticed people, including myself, kind of just looked around quietly and moved on without asking questions or making purchases. I actually had a few things I was considering buying, but I didn't feel comfortable interrupting, so I ended up leaving without them. It might help to have someone cover the front or step away briefly during breaks so the space still feels welcoming and easy to engage with. Overall, it's a beautiful shop, just a small tweak in that area could really enhance the experience.

Don't expect them to be open when they say they'll be open. Bad business practice!!

Came to attend a walking book club with The Preoccupied (check them out on IG) where our walk ended here. One of the strengths of this bookstore is that they feature local authors. The author we walked with actually had her book featured at Zibby's. I like that they support local talent because LA has been through so much this year already. When I came here, it was a little warm inside. Now that could've been because of all the people coming in post-walk but there may have been a chance the AC was having some issues. Now for your frugal auntie tip: participating in The Preoccupied's walking book club provides you with a couple Zibby's related benefits. Upon completing your walk and meeting up at Zibby's, you're rewarded with a 20% off discount at the store to be used right then and there. The book club also meets near Alta and 10th or 11th, which means you can find free residential street parking. Free parking is such a precious commodity in LA, and if you're up for an additional quick walk, consider this during your next visit. Come support this local business that's supporting other locals!

I stopped in to grab a book for my granddaughter (9) and they had a few selections to offer once I shared with them what she likes to read. Comfortable, inviting chairs for you to sit while you ponder which book to purchase, and bibliophile gifts here for that special someone. The gift wrapping is well appreciated. Street and free residential parking is available. Respectfully Reviewed.
