    We used Moon Valley Nurseries in Roseville after seeing an ad for their new location. Since we do…read morenot know much about landscaping, we were willing to pay a premium for professional design help and quality plant selection. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from start to finish. We made it clear from the beginning that we needed all materials by Sunday for our landscapers, but after spending over an hour selecting 9 trees and countless plants, we were told at checkout that delivery would take two months. Some material did arrive sooner, but not all of it. The bigger issue was the design advice itself. The Liriope we received already looked unhealthy, and we later learned it does not do well in the Sacramento Valley heat. We returned it and replaced it with boxwoods. Even more concerning, a Weeping Blue Cedar was recommended to be planted only about two feet from our home. After getting second opinions, we learned that could have caused foundation issues because of the root system. We canceled that tree as well. On top of that, 7 shrubs we ordered never arrived, and we ended up buying replacements from another local nursery. Two months later, we are still waiting on a refund for the canceled tree and the undelivered shrubs. We have gone to the store multiple times, could never reach the manager, and kept getting different answers about store credit and restocking fees. Some of the plants we received are doing well, but overall the communication, design guidance, and follow-through were poor. I would definitely recommend getting a second opinion before trusting their design plan. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Moon Valley Nurseries in Roseville.

    This is an update to my previous review. One of our expensive ($16,000) custom black-framed windows…read morecracked, and we notified Home Depot in February. Nearly four months later, we are still getting excuse after excuse about delays and no resolution, no accountability, and virtually no communication. Wevontacted them again in March and we were told no later than April we would receive a call for installation. No call, so we called again on May 1st. We were provided with an installation date of May 18th. Today they called and said the window has a white casing so they need to change it and they will call back with a new date. LOL. We spent over $65,000 replacing 26 windows (2 custom windows) through Home Depot because the zero-percent financing made the project financially manageable. Unfortunately, once the sale was completed, the customer service completely disappeared. Calls go unanswered, there has been no meaningful response to escalations, and nobody seems willing to take ownership of the issue. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. The 6 month delay in getting the windows installed and the recent issue solidifies that I would rather pay more from a reputable company than deal with them. The complete lack of follow-through from after we ordered the windows to end has been beyond frustrating. The sales rep (Gwen) was initially responsive with all the delays then she fell off the face of the earth. No one responded to my escalated complaints (6-7 month) of delays. No response to the BBB either. I would strongly caution others before making a major purchase through Home Depot for windows. If they were 50% cheaper I would still go elsewhere because it was not worth the delays and frustration. They get a negative 5 rating.

What really stood out was his follow-up and support all the way until the last minute to make sure everything went smoothly. He truly provided excellent customer service. However, I was very disappointed with the delivery experience. When the delivery staff arrived, I politely asked if they could remove their shoes or wear booties before bringing the furniture inside. I was told "no, and if you have a problem, call my manager." I accepted this because I did not want to cancel the delivery and reschedule for another day, but the response felt dismissive and unprofessional. As a customer inviting people into my home, I don't think that was an unreasonable request. During the delivery, one of the delivery staff injured his leg and was bleeding onto my carpet. We were concerned about him and tried to help by providing bandages twice to stop the bleeding. I truly felt bad for him and hope he is doing well. In addition, there was damage to my stairs during the delivery process, and I was not informed about it at the time. I only discovered the damage after the team had already left my home, which was very disappointing. Unfortunately, I am giving this review 5 stars mainly out of respect and appreciation for Steve Romero's outstanding support and professionalism throughout the process. I hope the delivery experience can improve in the future.
