Discrepancy Between Product Received and Website Photos I wish I had read some of the reviews before purchasing from this company. My landscaper ordered 3" Black Slate rock from here based on the photos and description on their website. What I received, however, was nothing like what was advertised. Trying to resolve the issue amicably, I sent a polite email on September 18, 2024, with pictures and proof of the discrepancy between what they sold and what was delivered. I received no response. On September 21, 2024, I called and spoke with Dillon, who confirmed I had used the correct email and mentioned several people monitor it daily. He assured me the matter would be addressed. I followed up with another email the same day, yet here we are, September 28, 2024, and still no response. This company has made it clear they have no interest in customer satisfaction or even engaging in a mature conversation to resolve this issue. The lack of communication is not only frustrating but unprofessional. I strongly recommend thinking twice before doing business here. They have shown a complete disregard for their customers, and I regret trusting their product descriptions and service. Below is a copy of what I sent them to info@rockproslandscape.com. If I don't hear from them again, I will have to take the next step. Specifically, the color is grey not black. I questioned my contractor about this, and he said he questioned a rep from Rock Pros about the same thing. He was told, once you wet it the color will be black and it's just very dusty. My contractor demonstrated that to me and your rep was right. After my contractor laid down the 8 yards of rock and washed it down, it matched your website. Once it dried, it was grey. I figured it would take some time to remove the dust and the rocks would remain black just like the name 3" Black Slate. After about a month of washing it down, the rocks remain grey not black. This discrepancy has caused some disappointment, as I was expecting the product to align more closely with the images provided online for my expensive backyard. Although, your website does say "Material pictured has been washed down for aesthetic purposes" it does not represent the true color of the product when it dries or purchased. Rock Pros was recommended to me by a landscaper we had hired to do some work. I just wanted a few decorative moss rocks, so I went to check them out. The girl working the front desk greeted me as soon as I entered the shop and was so helpful to me. She explained where I could find the rocks to look at, and then sent a guy to help pickup the ones that I wanted. He loaded them into my truck and I was there maybe 15 min? We paid top end prices and DID NOT get what we paid for!!! I wish I could leave a zero star review for their customer service and misleading labels. My husband and I purchased 5 yards of BLACK SLATE rocks, $100 per cubic yard and spent good money there. Once we got home, installed the black slate rocks, turned out to be multi-colored and rock type variation. Some natural slate (blacks and tans which was okay). Here's the kicker... there were hella other types of rocks. And they told us to spray paint them! To spray paint the rocks! They were rude, inflexible, said oh well "you're stuck with them", and there is nothing we can do. Simply put, they prey on first timers! At all. Do not waste your money or time. read more

Worst experience I ever had.... the guy at the front desk was very disrespectful and lacked customer service. I went in on a Saturday morning to pick up an order I had placed on Friday. The guy at the front desk told me he does not see my order on his chart and that they don't do "next day orders" but that they only do "same day" orders, and that i must be at the wrong place. Well excuse me....I told him that I was informed that I could come in today for pick up of a order I placed and paid for the day before... so obviously the issue was internal. Nonetheless he continued to come across as if it was my fault. After finally showing him my bank statement of the charge and calling my witness who was there when I placed the order, the issue was finally resolved. I normally order from HASTIES. I would have given them 5 Stars but they are Closed On Sundays and only open until 3 on Saturday. And into days busy world that's just not good enough. This was my first experience ordering bark for my in-dire-need-of-rebarking front yard. (My gardener directed me to Rock Pros.) Made two calls to them. First call was just to gather info... didn't have a clue as to what to expect. The pro I talked to answered all my questions and then some. Second call was a couple of days later when I actually placed an order for Medium Deco Bark in the color Medium Brown. Third call was to me the morning of my scheduled delivery telling me the bark was loaded on the truck and heading my way. I guess I should of read the previous reviews. I went there today to check out their flagstone. I've never been there before and I'm pretty new to doing landscaping work in my yard. There were 4 people in the office, not one person said hello when I arrived along with another employee that came. There wasn't any other customers in the office. I asked the guy behind the desk where the flagstone was and if it had prices (only saw prices on a few). He told me where it was, never offered to help show me or offer help in general. I checked the flagstone out then asked about their delivery process. I always try to buy local if I can, but I won't be back after that experience. Home Depot it is I guess. Went all around town trying to get 3 propane tanks filled (2-20gal, 1-30gal). No luck anywhere, but I was referred to Rock Pros (had no clue they filled propane tanks). Drove up, ask cashier for assistance and 3 minutes later an employee came up and filled the tanks quickly and efficiently. Was out of there in 5 minutes. After having 10 yards of bark delivered, and being very happy with it. we decided to use this same company for a delivery of rock. Ours was a small amount 1/2 yard of their 4x8 cobble (5x8 on the website). We were to use this for a boarder on our river bed in the back yard. We looked at the pictures online and decided, based on the pictures, this was the rock size we needed. What was delivered was a WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY! What they dumped on our street was severely broken and either much larger or much smaller than what was depicted on their website. We are left with a huge pile of small (2-3 inch) and large (9-18 inch) broken rocks that we cannot use. I have made several attempts asking them correct the issue but they are unwilling to do anything. Today Virginia told me to "We are not going to do anything. Have a nice life!" Very rude staff terrible customer service! I have seen many reviews of this company stating the same type of treatment - beware!!! They had me pull my car right up to the bay while they quickly bagged the rock and put into my car. The worst place in lincoln to get your bark and rock. The owners daughter Virginia has got a mouth on her. The poor employees are subjected to her tyrant behavior This happened twice earlier in 2019 and it's when she thinks you are not looking or listening. Walked the yard looking for pebbles by myself and witnessed this behavior. I was shocked to hear the words used on employees. I believe others had to of heard it too. Her voice carried from screeching yelling. If you want to berate an employee, do it privately. I could see the employee looked humiliated. A month ago I would have given Rock Pros five stars. I landscaped my backyard and spent more than $2,000 buying all kinds of material. I have had a great experience with Rock Pros until now. I live in Sun City, now have a beautiful backyard and have recommended Rock Pros to many people. Recently,I went to their business to order rock and bark. I was helped by a young woman. I pointed to the bark sample wanted. It was labeled "small decor. She told me that bark is $50 a yard. I hesitated but decided I should definitely buy what I like. I bought 4 yards of small decor bark (or so I thought) and one yard of rock ( about $250+). I paid, got a credit card receipt and gave date for delivery. When it was delivered I signed delivery receipt without checking before material was deposited in my driveway. I had no reason to question the delivery since all past deliveries have been fine. As truck drove away, I saw the bark. It was so large, and I knew immediately it was not what I ordered. I checked delivery receipt and noticed faint line next to "medium ". I called and explained this wasn't what I ordered. The woman said she'd check and call me back. She didn't; so I called again. The owner got on phone and said I got what I ordered. I said no. She argued with me. She demanded to talk to my landscaper to confirm it was medium bark. My reply was he didn't see what I ordered. She was rude and would not let me explain that it was not what I pointed out and told her employee I wanted. She went on and on including comparing it to ordering a cheeseburger (?) and telling me to take it up with her supplier. Finally I tried to interrupt to be able to explain what happened. She wouldn't let me talk. I'm not even sure who hung up first. I had no choice but to use the bark since I was PAYING my "landscaper" to distribute the bark right then. I can't remember being so rudely treated by anyone before. Of course I've never heard back from her. I will NEVER do business with or recommend Rock Pros again. I advise anyone who does go to them to ask for delivery receipt (I didn't ask) and to make sure what the employee marks on it is correct AT TIME OF $ purchase. read more
