I went to Mallory at Mallory Lane Salon for a pretty drastic change recently. I was going from hair that was light blonde/brown, down past the middle of my back to hair that is just about platinum blonde and above the shoulders. I was confident that Mallory would do a great job, but I explained some of my concerns with her before we began the cut. My hair is pin straight and tends to lay really flat. I was worried that with such a short cut that my normally flat hair would be difficult for me to style. Mallory carefully listened to my concerns and took time to look at the picture I brought before cutting my hair. She must have performed some type of magic because my hair has volume that wasn't there before. She also took me through step by step how to style my new cut. So finding this salon was totally random and quite honestly one of the best finds ever! I was in Columbus for the weekend and had been wanting to change up my hair, but I didn't even really know what I wanted (yes I'm that customer). We were about to leave the short north and just happened to park right across from this place. Long story short, I walked in and lucky for me Mallory had an opening! I told her what I was thinking and she helped me pick the perfect color! I just needed trimmed up and she did just that, even the bangs were perfect. I met Mallory at the hair show and was excited to learn that she does extensions and maintains them at a great price. I visited her salon, which is in the Short North, just a short walk from restaurants and shopping. She offers coffee or wine (yay!) and did such a great job on my hair that I booked an appointment to have her do my makeup for Halloween. My makeup was very cute, and I received compliments all night. I wish I had known about her for my wedding! She is friendly and down to earth and her salon is easy to find with convenient parking. I've been needing some Hair Care and wanted extensions to help my own hair grow out while having length already. Mallory Lane Salon was the only one that came up in my search. I am from PA so I went with it and I'm so glad I did. Naturally I have very thin curly/frizzy hair. Considered extensions once before and the stylist told me to forget about it because I wasn't a good candidate. Well guess what, I was able to get curly extensions for the very first time at the Hair Show in Columbus in October 2016. That's where I met the very beautiful, talented and informative Mallory who picked up where Donna Bella left off and did a great job giving me more volume at her Salon shortly thereafter. I went to this salon after receiving a botched extension job at a salon lofts in pickerington. They were able to fit me in quickly. Jessi was my stylist and removed my extensions, gave me a blow-out and head rub which I needed so bad, and a consultation on new extensions. I waited a week and went back and got them. It took 2.5 hours to apply and she put them in seamlessly. She then blended them so well.. she even texted me after my appointment just to see how I liked them.. Jessi is a hair wizard! I love going to see her because she takes the time to listen and understand what my hair goals are. She gives honest advice about how to reach them and every time I leave her chair I feel ten times more beautiful than I did when I arrived. This was my first time ever getting extensions. I have weird hair - thin, fine and between curly and wavy. First we went with curly extensions- gorgeous hair but didn't quite match mine.
