Surprisingly staff not very knowledgeable or friendly about gardening and coffee shop expensive…read moremistake. Came in with my mom to get some help with spring plants and gardening tools. Went to the help desk, asked about specific plants. The staff person just pointed and said, "go in there" to the greenhouse. Went there, was told, we just sell houseplants in here, go outside through the automatic doors". Went outside, no one, not one person out there. We walked around for a bit, still no one. Gave up and decided we could find help online and at another nursery. The coffee shop. Great idea, poorly managed. Saw some senior group had taken all but two tables and a couple of chairs for their get together. I found two chairs against the wall for my mom and I, but no tables. Made our order, sandwich and egg bites- they are brought in prepackaged from an outside company. I had to walk back and forth from my chair to the coffee counter to check on our drinks and warmed up sandwiches. After 20 minutes, have one drink and cold sandwiches. Had to go back since they forgot a drink. We ate a few bites of our sandwiches- threw away the rest. No more interest in getting the order right. Also saw one of the staff people counting out cash onto the counter next to the coffee machine. Cash and coin I believe should not be placed on counter space next to food or drink prep?

A little while ago, I tried tackle the job of painting my house on my own. I went to the paint store and was completely overwhelmed. I didn't realize that there were so many shades of off-white or light blue paint. Good thing that I was recommended Vanguard by a friend, yet I was not convinced as I could not find reviews on Yelp. Meeting Dan made my decision so much easier; I was in fact convinced I will let Vanguard take care of everything right after I have met Dan. It was seriously that easy. To tackle my problem of not being able to choose a paint color, Dan also provides consultation services and choose the paint color as well as confirm the color with you if needed. All I had to do was to set up a date for the job. Prior to the painters' arrival, I didn't even have to move furniture or wipe down the walls clean. Dan and his sidekick did all that, which was very nice of them and super convenient. Vanguard outsources the purchase of paint and paint delivery to another vendor if you do not want to deal with it yourself. In my case, Dan ended up being the painter, although he had a helper, and that was awesome. Dan was totally like a dad figure (though he must be in his early 30's): very experienced, knows what he's talking about, and honest. I asked him for feedback regarding the other rooms in my house that I wanted to paint. He also oversaw the areas where his helper painted, and triple checked all the corners to ensure clean lines. They also cleaned up after themselves and did not leave a mess. I am one very happy and satisfied customer. I'm planning more bookings to paint the rest of my house. You should also consider Vanguard for your painting needs, definitely!

When we started to get close to go time, we heard from him promptly with details on the plan, and he regularly checked in with us to keep us informed as the process unfolded. He also provided great advice on how to choose the right colors for what we wanted to have done, and it was clear he wanted us to take care with that process so we'd really love how it looked when it was done.
