I placed a curbside order for the Avocado Toast with a side of scrambled eggs. The Avocado Toast was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of my meal. I would gladly order it again. The scrambled eggs, however, were overcooked for my taste and had already been seasoned with salt and pepper. Since I prefer to season my own eggs, I think it would be better if the restaurant left them unseasoned and provided salt and pepper packets so guests could season them according to their preferences. Also, there weren't any eating utensils in the container either. My other concern was the curbside pickup experience. There didn't appear to be a designated curbside pickup area, and I had to repeatedly blow my horn so the person could locate me where I was parked. A clearly marked pickup space or a more efficient notification process would greatly improve the customer experience. Overall, the food, especially the Avocado Toast, was very good, and I would return. With a few improvements to the curbside service and a little more flexibility in how the eggs are prepared, the experience could be even better.

Not too strong .. perfect balance of flavors .. not overly sweet which is how many shops prepare and it just drowns the flavor of the espresso .. anyway I ordered the large and it comes with 3 espresso shots - Since I don't love super strong coffee I requested the 3rd on the side but ended up using it anyway as it was perfect with all 3! The espresso was not bitter and had a wonderful flavor .. and smelled divine .. there were several other offerings that I'm eager to try later.. Keep in mind this was SPINACH aka "green stuff". My child ate it. He ate so much of it that I had to fight to get half and then he asked when we could go back and get it again. So clearly the spinach and feta pretzel melt is magic. Third: the coffee!! I'm a fairly basic coffee person so initially ordered a hot latte, then decided to splurge and get some hazelnut syrup when the barista mentioned it. There weren't many people in there, maybe two, so I could sit and relax a while. It took a long time for my drink to get served, so was looking forward to tasting their coffee. This was a big letdown. The coffee itself was lukewarm and lacked any sort of rich flavor, as if there was barely any espresso in there at all. After an even longer wait, my sandwich was brought out, which sealed all my thoughts on the place. The sandwich was barely warm; there was a thick piece of cheese on there that wasn't even melted (I presume due to the lack of heat). I can't even remember if I finished either of the things I ordered, but I quickly packed up and left. This was the reason I didn't remember the place as its coffee and food are forgettable. It's a shame as the location, size, and décor all work well. I will not be returning.

In addition, I do not have a Haraz Coffee House near me, so when I am near one of their locations, I make it a point to pop in. I love Haraz. I love the ambience. I love the coffee. I love the pastry selection. I love the service. The consistency I've experienced from location to location is top-notch. The cleanliness here is impeccable, too. That bears mentioning. My go-to is the Haraz Latte. Iced. While this could never be my every day coffee, it is something I really enjoy and treat myself to when I'm able to go to a Haraz. As someone who doesn't proclaim to like cheesecake, their Biscoff cheesecake is the exception. Maybe it's a blessing that one isn't close by and I can only indulge every now and then. If you want a break from your regular coffee, give Haraz a shot. Especially when the summer heat kicks in - the iced coffee + cardamom is pretty great. Haraz The good:…read more Wonderful decor and ambiance, really spacious. Plenty of seating. Lots of sunlight. Tall ceilings. No annoying music, great for conversation. Open later than most coffee shops, especially in this deserted part of town. Varied drink menu, both caffeinated and not caffeinated, including refreshers. Nice creative variety of desserts (including a Biscoff cake!) and a kolaches case. At one point the brought some hot baked dessert (looked like a whole coffee cake) out the oven and it smelled like heaven. The bad: Nothing vegan or healthy, not even pre-made cold sandwiches or packaged salads. If you are a little peckish for a healthy snack, this is not the place. The coffees: They have all the regular espresso drinks, and also Turkish coffee and of course Yemeni, their specialty. I had heard great things about Yemeni coffee and was exciting to try it. My first drink, a traditional coffee drink called Jubani ($6) contained coffee but was watery like a tea. It had also ginger and cinnamon. I was not expecting it to be like a tea. I immediately told the cashier I didn't like the drink and would like just an Americano, double shot espresso. I was charged $9 for a 12 oz cup. No cream or sugar, no added flavorings. If I were in charge I wouldn't have charged for this second drink, since it comes at almost zero cost to them and would show good faith and ensure repeat business. Disappointingly, the Americano was also watery and sort of "lemony", but I still drank half while sitting with my friend. I'll say that my friend had some sort of an iced latte that she enjoyed. I might try a second visit and order a Turkish coffee, but I will make sure to have had a full meal before.
