I've mainly patronized this store thru Too Good to Go pick ups. When I've arrived, whichever employee has assisted me has been polite. The pastries I've enjoyed from the store have been delicious. I greatly recommend the muffins and cinnamon buns to accompany your coffee purchases. read more

After working all night on a work project, I needed (wanted...same difference) some coffee. Sort of like Pavlov's dogs - cause...no sleep plus exhaustion equals response ...coffee reward. I tried Malone's cedar park latte and their almond bun (most popular pastry according to the barista, Kelly). Absolutely delicious... the latte was robust with a soothing caramel flavor. Although the almond was billed as not too sweet...it was sweet yet tasty. Loved several aspects of Malone's - Pac-Man video game, cool children's play area, homey feel of the coffee shop (dark wood and book shelves) and abstract painting (they had me at abstract paintings!). They serve flavored lattes here. Those lattes might be just lovely but they are not what you are here for. Malone Specialty does one of the best straight up espressos in the Austin metropolitan area. This is a genuine bona fide destination espresso. What makes the espresso so special? It starts with a nose of essentially coffee. The taste in your mouth is that of coffee with overtones of coffee. The aftertaste is coffee with elements of coffee for added complexity. Okay, okay, I am not a particularly good coffee taster. I have taken the fancy classes you are supposed to take if you write about coffee. I have looked at the coffee color wheel and tried to relate it to cups of coffee in front of me. I know I am supposed to use words like "fruity" and "nutty" and "chocolate" and "floral". I still haven't figured out what most of those words mean. But even though I bring a Neanderthal palate to the task of coffee evaluation, I can say two things with complete confidence. A. The espresso at Malone's does not taste like the espresso I get at other independent coffee houses. B. The espresso at Malone's tastes super duper. That is good enough for me. * * * Malone's is also a fine place to work. They have huge tables. There are lots of sockets. The room is nice. Malone's is subject to the "Suburban Summer Moon" syndrome. If you go on a weekend to a Summer Moon in Lakeway or Cedar Park or Bee Cave or Round Rock, It will be completely deserted. Austinites hang out in coffee shops seven days a week at all hours of the day. Suburbanites only patronize their coffee shops on weekdays during bankers hours. On a Saturday afternoon, you will have most non-Austin Summer Moons to yourself. The same applies to Malone's. Being in a beautiful workroom with big stylish but practical tables and having that all to yourself is a good thing. It's been a while since I've been to a Malone Coffeehouse, and this location was new for both me and my husband. We were pleasantly surprised! I loved their food and drink selections.. The space is super cute and makes for a great spot to hang out, catch up, or pretend you're working while people watching. Definitely worth a visit! read more

So, maybe one star is simply because I was drawn here by name alone- love me some Post Malone. ;) Drive thrus are always convenient but today I decided to park and check it out inside. Very clean, quiet vibe, friendly staff, and fun extras to buy along with your coffee. The menu has great options, I opted for the breakfast croissant sandwich with eggs, havarti, honey, and ham. They have several specialty drinks to offer and we got the Austin Dream Latte & the Irish latte (seasonal) I'll return to try other things and see if I can tweak the recipe a little for the Austin Dream. It tasted a bit lackluster and the mocha sauce wasn't very good and overpowered the drink. It was iced with whole milk. No complaints from my friend on her Irish. The sandwich was delicious. Spot on. I inhaled it and that will be why I return. That and I'm pretty sure I need a Malone hat. Oh! They also have some random sweet treats that will make for a cute gift if you're surprising someone with a mid-day coffee. I took some photos to showcase their presentation. Enjoy! (4.5/5 stars) Tried Malone's newest location in Cedar Park and loved it! I ordered a medium Austin Dream, and it was perfectly sweetened. My boyfriend got the 4 Leaf Clover. I think it's pretty awesome that a medium comes with 3 shots for just $5.75 -- especially since other coffee spots usually charge around $7 for the same. Service was great, and our drinks came out super fast! The vibe here is perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. There are plenty of tables and outlets, super convenient if you need to catch up on work. Overall, I highly recommend this place! read more

Hey Malones Management Team... *** 1 star on service, still 5 stars on coffee *** You still have great coffee, and I will continue to come back, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE train your staff. I ordered two coffees, and two oatmeals today in the drive through and the staff got that simple order wrong 4 times in a row. We ended up spending 30 minutes in the drive through trying to get our order right. First they delivered hot lattes when we ordered iced, then they thought they were done with our order after they finally delivered the iced lattes. We had to remind them that we also ordered (and payed for) two oatmeals. That took another 7 minutes. Then the oatmeals were delivered without the bananas and strawberries. That took another 5 minutes. They delivered them AGAIN, and closed the window. When we checked, there was only bananas in the oatmeal and no strawberries... and they never came back to the window for us to tell them that the order was still wrong. Sat for another 4 minutes and decided to come around to the front and go inside. Then they had the nerve to say that the strawberries were in the oatmeal, but on the bottom. Wrong. These kids were very rude without any apology for making us wait 30 minutes and getting our order wrong multiple times in a row. I almost thought that I was on some type of comedy show. PLEASE train these kids. I don't want to have to go back to Starbucks for my coffee. read more

Dear [Manager/Customer Service], I wanted to share feedback about my recent visit to your Cypress location. My family and I ordered two avocado sandwiches and waited for over 30 minutes to receive them. During this time, another family picked up what I believe were our sandwiches, as they had ordered after us but received food much earlier. When I asked the staff about it, they seemed to confirm the mix-up but did not apologize or offer any gesture to make things right. Instead, they told us our name had been called (though the restaurant was very loud, and we did not hear it). We only received our food after repeated follow-ups, while the other family continued eating what appeared to be our original order. Unfortunately, the situation was handled poorly. There was no apology, no acknowledgement of the inconvenience, and no attempt to make up for the long wait or the mix-up. This left us with a disappointing experience and the impression that customer care is not a priority at this location.
