I met the owner today and her son, Glenn, and there can't be two nicer folks in the restaurant business. They go around to every table and chat up the customers. The interior decor is inviting, adorable, and exudes positivity. There were so many specials I wanted to try but most of us decided on omelettes. My Greek omelette was chock full of veggies and feta. Love the farmhouse-chic vibe at Mal's Kitchen. The servers were friendly and efficient, and our special requests (like "well-done/burnt") were followed perfectly. The bacon and egg bagel had plenty of bacon, and the mushroom omelette was generous and perfectly cooked. The brioche toast and in-house blueberry muffin were both excellent--the muffin was light without being too crumbly. Coffee was classic diner-style and not too strong. Stopped in for brekkie this weekend, actually found this gem by a yelp search. This spot is super cute inside. Everyone is very friendly, super knowledgeable of their menu and food comes out hot and quickly. The owner came by to great us and thank us for stopping in. Great place! We came on Father's Day & it was super busy. Loved their check in system that shows you where you are in line. Everyone was attentive and helpful. And the food was excellent. Went to this hidden gem this past Saturday for a late breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Both the French toast and pancakes (my friend had those), were quite tasty! They were cooked to perfection with sides of scrambled eggs with cheese, crispy bacon and cheese smothered tots. Love the tots! Staff was super friendly. The owner came over and chatted us up. Arrived a little bit hangry. Left super satisfied and in a very jolly mood!! No way I could not! The entire staff were attentive and gracious. My server was the best. The food was scrumptious. I had a corned beef hash omelette with cheese, home fries, and buttered rye toast. The coffee was perfect. The room was vibrant and inviting. I actually sat with a stranger so I did not take up a full table during a Sunday morning rush. The staff celebrated a young lady's birthday with every table being given a cowbell to ring along with a resounding song of HBD! The owner visited every table asking if there was anything needed and how was everything. I just LOVE everything about this adorable spot! The decor/atmosphere is very inviting and the food is soo soo good!! My husband and I sat at the counter during our first visit. I ordered the "two eggs" with bacon, wheat toast and homefries. My husband ordered biscuits & gravy which were on special and then we ordered the buttermilk pancakes to share. Everything was cooked perfectly; over-easy eggs were runny, bacon was crispy, toast was nicely buttered. And those homefries!! They were well seasoned and the "oily kind" without being greasy (soo good). The pancakes were also excellent. I couldn't stop talking about them. They were nice & fluffy with a slightly crisp edge. Stumbled on this place while I was searching on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Food would be 4 stars but adding a star for the excellent service we received! The place is small inside but decor was very cute, so harder to get seating if you have more than 4 people in your party. We went on a Saturday around lunch time and the wait was about 15 min, which is not bad at all. We met Mal while we were waiting outside and she offered us water, which was great for the hot summer day. Good size menu and daily specials too. The food came out quick after we ordered. We ordered the Just Roll Me Out with Crunchy French toast and home fries, the western omelette tater tots and grilled brioche, and a single pancake to try. Portions size was good, home fries nicely seasoned, crispy tater tots, grilled brioche was nice and buttery, pancake fluffy in the middle with crispy edges, and French toast has perfect sweetness even without syrup. Service was great, especially if you have kids. They had cute dinosaur bracelets, a candy cart with treats for the ride home, and cute sippy cup for kids drinks. The waitstaff was attentive and super friendly and Mal stopped by to say hi and make sure everything was going well. Glad we found this place. Will be back to try other menu items! read more

This is a very small breakfast restaurant. The ambiance was quaint and our server was attentive. We came here at around 12PM on a Saturday and we were seated minutes after entering. We got a veggie omelet, French toast, and eggs Benedict. The eggs in the veggie omelet were a little over cooked. The eggs in the Benedict were cooked a little too over hard/over medium but I didn't specify that i wanted them over easy. I thought eggs Benedict was supposed to be over easy but that is my mistake. Prices are reasonable but not incredibly cheap compared to normal breakfast prices. Overall it's a nice restaurant that is a real hole in the wall but I don't think I'd be returning. read more

The staff could not have been nicer. Everyone checked on us, but not in the annoying "can I eat my meal in peace" kind of way. Mal introduced herself and talked a little about the business and thanked us for coming in. We got two specials and the food was excellent. I would eat Mal 's Breakfast Burrito every day if I could. Nice and hearty with all the fillings you could want. We left very full and kept saying over and over how great everything tasted.
