Bacon, Egg & Cheese on a Onion Bagel
    Jessica B.

Oh I live for spots like this! A small, family-owned business where everything is fresh and homemade. The vibe is so warm and welcoming when you walk in. They are always supporting the community and donating $$ to local causes/charities. It's hard not to love and support a business like this. I usually order a breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg & cheese) on an onion bagel or I get the onion bagel with one of their homemade spreads, like the bacon scallion cream cheese. I really like their coffee too. They have a lot of flavors to choose from and I love all of the ones I've tried so far. They also serve lunch which I'm looking forward to trying next! I'd definitely recommend checking this place out.

Great little award-winning cafe in South Weymouth with very personable staff. They have many breakfast and lunch sandwiches and a nice seating area in which to eat them. They're probably best known for their Irish soda bread, available all year long, not just St. Patrick's Day. This morning I tried a Finnish pastry that's sort of like a cinnamon roll without the cinnamon. It had a slight lemon nuance, and the dough was soft and light. I liked it because it was sweet, but not cloyingly so. The server recommended heating it in the microwave for 15/20 seconds, then cutting the pastry in half. Yummy--I'd definitely get it again.

It's quite nice inside. I have no idea what Irish Peas are, but u can buy cans of them, and you can buy a number of Irish goods from Ireland here. You can find a variety of baked goods, delicatessens, and many kinds of drinks. The decor is very nice, and it feels generally welcoming and comfortable. There's also several sanitary accommodations like sneeze shields, hand sanitizer, n other precautions if u look around to take notice. This place is actually a vintage location, n has roots in the culture of the 1800s, but has kept up with the times. Aside from a very Irish & New England vibe, it has a lot of Italian style Flavors & dishes, but very mid 20th Century American style that would typically appeal to Baby Boomers.

Ultimate Turkey on a Toasted Ciabatta Sandwich

Breakfast or lunch, Ma Reilly's is always delicious. Lately I've been getting the ultimate turkey on toasted ciabatta and it's all I want now! The cranberry sauce is the perfect taste and texture. Any of the pastries are also a great choice. Lemon bars and the coffee cake are my go to. Waiting to try a cinnamon bun!

Nice little place in Weymouth. Apple turnover was to die for, but raspberry lime rickey was lacking something.

Fourteen dollars for a pool of mayonnaise on a piece of soggy bread. Wow. This place used to be great when it was Dawn to Dusk.

As my Bestfriend lives in Weymouth, I stumbled across The Grill & Eye on Yelp and we decided to go for breakfast. Before even getting there, the pictures I saw had me ready to eatttttttttttt. The location was super easy to find as it sits directly on the main road. Parking is scarce, however, there is street parking available and we were able to grab a good spot. Yaay! Walking in, the ambiance is super homely and gives the feel of a mom & pops kind of restaurant. It's small and quaint, however, they have made great use of the space. The waitress at the counter was very inviting and welcomed us with a huge smile and friendly Welcome In. As it is a seat yourself setup, we decided to sit near the back wall. Once seated the waitress was at our table immediately. She presented us with the menus and took our drink order. OhEmGee! Let's talk about the menu. There is no shortage of options whatsoever! The variation of food options truly make it a hard decision to figure out what you want. I'm all for ordering the entire menu, lol. In all seriousness, the menu is amazing and there is something for everyone regardless of what you have a taste for. I decided to order the platter with 2 Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage Links, and Eggs. As I don't eat eggs, I was excited that I was able to swap out my eggs for grits. It's the small things in life that mean the most. LoL! Once our order was placed, the excitement increased and we were ready to eat. Seeing the other orders come out for the tables around us truly increased the anticipation. Ha! Lucky for me, the food didn't take long at all. Everything was out in a timely manner and every single item on the plate was fresh. Speaking of fresh, all of the meat was quality cuts and the grits were real grits. The food was not only fresh but it was flavorful. The sweet to salt ratio provided by the pancake syrup and meat really made every single bite a mouth pleasing, flavor rewarding experience. The bacon was crispy and meaty. The pancakes were fluffy and a perfect size as they almost covered the entire plate. The sausage was flavorful and not too greasy, and best of all, the grits were not too watery or too stiff. The water to grit ratio was spot on and the natural grit flavor wasn't overpowered by the butter, yet the butter was present and added to the creamy smooth texture that was accomplished. Overall I am overjoyed by my meal, the service, and the pricing at The Grill & Eye and I will be returning the next time I'm home for a visit.
