Completed a major yard renovation for my children 3 years ago...it was also 3 years ago Maltese Pools gave me a quote to complete my pool renovation. Since then I had 3 different representatives from Maltese come to my house for yet another estimate. The last estimate was in October 21of this year which Bob ( Owner) assessed the renovation again and stated that he would have a quote ready in a couple of days and complete the 2 day job in November. We are now entering December with no quote and no returned phone calls. My daughter will be entering her senior year and I failed her as a father! Going into our 4th year without a pool. No High school backyard memories with family and friends. Tough to stare out at pool in June, July and August from the inside of the house ( Not Recommended) I have no ill will towards then personally , the father and son, having met them both are very hardworking nice people however what they did for the past 3 years to my family and Its just not right on many different levels. We contracted Maltese to resurface our concrete pool in 2019. We thought they did a good job until we had another company open our pool 2 weeks ago (note, we tried to call Maltese to open our pool but they didn't respond to 3 calls. I wonder if they were avoiding us). When the new company came out to open, they found several issues. When Maltese resurfaced the pool, they plastered over the pool lights, all 6 spa returns, and 2 pool returns. The lights aren't working working now, but we can't open them and fix because they're plastered in. All of the returns are now plastered in too, so they can't be removed to close the pool property. They also plastered in a metal plug when they closed last year that can't be removed, and has a metal piece dangerously sticking out that might harm one of my kids. We've called half a dozen times, emailed, and sent a certified letter and received no response. I'll be contacting a lawyer to ensure Maltese fixes or pays to fix the issues they caused. read more

Terrible We went there to test our water and get more supplies our first year after opening out pool. They told us that we needed to drain most of the pool and then come back to them for further direction. In order to test the water they have a print out that they will review the level so I asked for a copy of the print out or can I review it and they would not share the copy with me as it was their property! So I should blindly trust them and drain a quarter of my pool and then come back to then for further direction. I found it strange because when we opened our pool which ( thankfully we didn't use them) I called the pool guy who opened and he said that it sounded like they were scamming us that they wanted us to drain the pool so that way we could have to get a whole bunch more of chemicals which of course would have to buy from Maltese. We thought this to be strange so we took it water sample over to Olympic pool store who are super and shared the levels and actually educated us on the chems as first time pool people we needed. Olympic told us what chemicals we should buy to get our pool to safety level and what amount they did not say anything about draining hundreds of gallons of water! I would not recommend Maltese to anyone it's clear that they're trying to take it inexperienced people and make as much money out of them. Not cool! The women behind the front desk with the ratty blond hair and wwe vibe was so unbelievably rude and nasty when I asked her for a copy of the paperwork. I get it why would she want me to be a smart consumer! Maybe they do better work on the construction side but if you're going to them for pool reading with chemicals etc. I do not think it's good to go there unless your experience to know what you're doing and know exactly what you need to buy read more

I went into the store to ask questions and grab pool supplies and before I could even do so I heard the woman at the front desk bashing a customer, speaking very loudly, telling the person to shut up I had to leave the store as their lack of professionalism physically made me uncomfortable. read more

What can I say about Maltese Pools? Well they'll charge you $95 just for calling them, without doing anything. Then God forbid they do come to your house for an issue with your pool heater (I speak with experience) they'll charge you a separate $75 for the labor. With tax $181.53 with nothing done. Add in the rudest person you know answering their phone and you get the worst experience of your life. So good luck with that. You guys need to go to church to learn how to treat people. Run far far away! I don't know where their pictures are from because this doesn't look like their work or anyone possibly happy after using them. They are so incredibly rude and unprofessional! Installed our liner wrong and it tore causing damage to mine and my neighbors yard. Took them SEVERAL phone calls and 2 months to get them back to fix what was THEIR MISTAKE. Family run business where every single person is nasty and rude, so trashy! They kept blowing us off to the point where I disputed my charges and won! Maintenance workers are sloppy and slow- they spent the day sitting in their van in front of my house and were smoking cigarettes on my porch! The workers spent an entire day "filling the pool up" with our hose and when my husband got home from work he saw the hose was trickling water to which the worker said he doesn't know how to turn the hose up! So instead they sat in front of my house for an entire day until my husband removed the gun from the hose and let it flow through. The worker didn't want to get wet when coming to fix the hole they created due to improper installation. The owner finally got his mess fixed and had the AUDACITY to tell us we were lucky he let US SWIM IN OUR OWN POOL with a patch on the liner and had no problem hounding us to be paid again even though it took them months to fix their mess or return a damn phone call. They're really shady. Never again with this classless, scummy run "business"!! read more

They closed my pool last year, as they have a few times but last year, Instead of removing the diving board, they just placed a piece of cheap plastic and duct tape around it. when I called them to complain, they never had the courtesy to return the call. Not that removing it is a big deal, but its the principal that I paid for the complete service (Note I was not present when they closed it, my wife was and didn't know to say otherwise). On top of that, as I am not preparing to open the pool, I opened the skimmer and found that they shoved the two empty bottles of winterize in the skimmer. Now I am worried about if they did anything else that will may have damaged the pool/system. fingers crossed...and dialing a different pool company going forward. read more

They apparently they don't need my business. I am tired of the short and rude treatment in the front of the store. Had my deposit for 6 weeks - never installed any pool & I had to go in person to get my money back since I never heard from anyone. THIS REVEIW IS ABSOLUTELY FOR MALTESE POOLS. PLEASE SO NOT REMOVE. IT WAS MALTESE POOLS THAT WE SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH TO DO OUR DRIVEWAY AND PATIO!! I am at a loss for words for the disaster that we are dealing after having Maltese Pools sub out our driveway/walkway and patio to Anna Concrete. It was installed August 21. It got a large crack 1 week later. So they took out that section and gave us an "accent strip" that I hated, but was willing to live with. Then we started getting white spots here and there... and they tried to blame everything from Sheetrock dust to the Landscaper! So they came with xylene and touched it up like 3 different times and kept saying it was fixed and tried to collect the last of their money. But once it got really cold, the sealer started coming off EVERYWHERE!! Bob Maltese even showed up at our house with a bottle of xylene and a paint brush to show us how "easy" it would be for us to touch up our own driveway!!! This is what we are left with now after spending almost $22,000! And the same thing is happening on the pool patio as well now, which cost nearly $13,000! Not to mention about another $50,000 we gave Maltese Pools for the pool itself. So this company got almost $85,000 from us... more than most people's yearly salary... and this is what we got for our very hard earned money. If I could give them 0 stars I would. What bothers me most is the utter excuse making and lack of responsibility. Stuff happens and mistakes happen, but they should have replaced this driveway at their expense a long time ago. read more
