I cannot truly even give a star. We put a pool in when we bought our first our house around 14-15 years ago. We were replacing our plaster recently and during this process we realized the concrete base was falling apart and an outside engineer came in and let us know there was too much sand in the mixture which caused the base to collapse. We went back to the owner of B&B and we were told sorry (in a very nasty way) 10 years warranty is up. We have been told by outside engineers that a gunite shell should last indefinitely. Based on what they see it was a bad pour - the mixture of water and sand was not done correctly. They gave us a beautiful pool but that does not help if it falls apart. They will not stand by their work. Other pool companies offer lifetime warranty with gunite. Just awful. I do not want anyone else to experience this. read more

These guys are awesome and you know why? I live in St. Louis Missouri and purchased a top of the line Sundance Spa that stopped working within 2 months of ownership. Not getting answers from the dealer I bought it from in St. Louis, I reached out on the Internet, called up B & B Pool and Spa and they diagnosed the issue AND told me what to do next. THE WORST. After purchasing my second hot tub from this company you may think you would have some great customer service. Absolutely the worst! They overcharge and then they use the excuse "that's the industry". They charge me $300 to "evaluate" the problem with the hot tub $500 for a part (paid up front) and then wait a month don't hear from them at all when I call miraculously the part came in that day... Only to be charged another $310 to put it in. After posting a negative Google review one of the managers actually had the balls to call me and antagonize me saying you left us a bad review are you sure you want us to install the part? That I had already paid for and waited a month for. I would say if you are thinking about using this company to take your business elsewhere. read more

Our in-ground gunite pool was just completed and we are so thrilled! It looks so gorgeous. We now have no reason to go on vacation! From start to finish, Derek was always available, helpful and responsive. No question was ever too silly or trivial for him; he always gave us straight and honest answer. We had a few quirky requests but none ever caused Derek to bat an eye. With many contractors we've dealt with in the past, we either had to spend a lot of time and effort trying to get in touch or chasing to actually have the work done - not with Derek. We never had to stress out about any of that. He is so professional and on top of things. He's also super punctual which we totally appreciated. Derek met with us so many times over the course of the project and was always pleasant. He's just a dream to work with. We're so glad that we chose B&B Pool. read more

Recently, my husband called to schedule an appointment to close our pool and was told they'd be in the area sometime next week to take a look.They didn't even bother to try and give us a specific date or time, just that they'd stop by whenever to look at pool. Furthermore, when my husband informed them he would potentially want to put in a new liner and had some questions on the process, he was told he'd have to call back another time and speak with a different guy. I could not grasp why they wouldn't relay our information to the "liner guy" and have him call us. As customers why would we have to do the leg work? Basically, they handled our potential business with the intensity of a sloth. It seemed as if they could care less if we needed service. If this is the level of customer service given to someone who is simply trying to get general answers and estimates then I can't imagine how they would be if hired. We called another company who answered all our questions on the phone and came to our house within two days. read more

My great experience with B&B began when I first negotiated the deal with their manager Jeff Walrath. I had done my due diligence prior to coming to the store and had many technical questions about the spa and the follow-up service. Jeff's knowledge was most impressive. He was very professional, kind and negotiated the deal in good faith. When I finalized the purchase, I appreciated getting the final lower negotiated price. It has now been more than one year since my purchase and 100% of Jeff's representations regarding the spa and the service were accurate and honest. Recognizing that no spa lasts forever, as a result of my positive experience with B&B's manager Jeff, one day when I purchase a new spa I will definitely purchase it from B&B if Jeff W. is the manager. read more

What a terrible experience! We were use their services since we move here 20 years ago. But we didn't open our pool for the past 4 years. This year we re-painted the pool, and I Opened it myself, but the filter is not running. I called at 7 AM, a gentleman answered the phone and took all my information said service departments personal will call me back, then nobody called. I called again at 9:30, thinking someone should be there, but another gentleman answered asked same thing again and I was told the service people just started. I wait and wait, called them again at 12:30, a man named Peter answered, and asked me who opened the pool, when I told him that I did myself and I was called in before to ask to set an appointment to service, He was like who answered your phone, it wasn't him, they didn't open the pool they are not responsible for it... I understand that, but I just ask to set an appointment, if we don't have problems why we call you? And seems like the gentleman took all my informations at 1st time didn't even pass it to the service dept. I understand it is the busy season, but after 5 and half hours later, no one could call to me to set a service appointment? I guess they really have enough business to make a living, that they don't need any more! Also they were the one did change my sand filter and other equipment years ago, we just didn't open the pool 4 years. We are not new customer at all! Time pass by, people change, they are just not reliable as before! So I have to find other one to do the service now ! Good luck for you! read more

Delays with Insurance and other cleanup efforts from Hurricane Sandy slowed the opening of my pool. Once the "Black Lagoon" was opened and all logs and debris removed, I discovered two large punctures in my liner. As serious buyers of a hot tub we were very interested in seeing what B&B had to offer. However, we were very disappointed, to say the least, in our experience on 11/13/15. This negative review is mostly about the salesman, who was rude, condescending and disrespectful. He touts that his hot tubs are the best and yet his actions and dress were extremely unprofessional. When we tried to work out a deal, he refused to negotiate, saying he didn't need our business. A large poster hanging up advertised $500 off and when we asked about it, he said it expired. Why would it still be hanging up then? He did help, in that, his demeanor convinced us to purchase from a competitor, who was all the things he was not. Buying a hot tub is also beginning a relationship with the dealer for the future and that was reason enough not to use B&B. read more

Their technician was prompt & courteous. Their service desk is another story. After the job was done I noticed 2 small clamps were missing. I called and asked if they could mail me the clamps, which were $6 items. I was told that they would not mail them, and it would cost me a minimum $59 service charge for someone to drive out with said clamps. I then was directed to voicemail, where I left a message. It is now MONTHS later, and I never received a return call. I bought the clamps elsewhere and completed the job myself. read more
