Is there a mark lower than TERRIBLE? Zero stars but I was forced to give it one. I ordered tulips and chocolate as an Anniversary gift. They sent old and wilted daisies left over from Mother's Day (well after Mother's Day) and no chocolate. I called and complained. They sent a leftover Elmer Valentine's Day heart. Valentine's Day was 3 months ago. Elmer is the cheapest chocolate. Delivery sent by Doordash. Are they kidding me? I was promised a call from the owner. They said he'd call today. No call. I'm not surprised. Malverne Floral Design is a complete and total joke. Stay as far away as possible unless you prefer to lose your money. Use Wick's in Baldwin, NY instead. Wick's cares about their customers and Wick's will send the correct order and real quality Godiva chocolate. Flowers from Wick's are delivered by one of their staff members. This is the last time I use a discount coupon from Teleflora. From now on, I'll ALWAYS use Wick's. read more

UPDATE: After the owner read by below review, he called and offered a full refund for the remaining difference of $100. Jay also apologized as he never saw the pictures or the flowers before handing them off for the ceremony. He offered a complimentary bouquet but I turned him down. I appreciate the gesture but the damage is done and I can't get the day or the picture back. I'm grateful for the follow up. We use this florist to continue supporting local businesses in the community. However Jay the "business owner" sold me welted flowers for my wedding day. He quoted $135 for the bouquet, and when we picked up the bouquet he let us know (via the phone), that he incorrectly quoted the price. The flowers were already browning at the top and the receptionist had to work her magic to try and make it presentable. For the mistake he gave us $10 for the inconvenience. I, the bride, went back the next day and of course he wasn't there. He got on the phone, didn't listen to my customer's complaint, and immediately jumped into explaining inflation, how he didn't make a profit, and we could've waited for the receptionist to make another bouquet and hour before the ceremony. There was no acknowledgment that he could've reached out to us when he received the ordered batch a day before the wedding to troubleshoot. He was rude and lacked remorse for how his short comings affected the wedding. At the end he gave me an additional $25 and sent me on my way. Flowers are a natural product so I understand not being able to control it. However the customer service from the owner or lack there of is unacceptable. If you're still reading this go to any Florist is FLORAL PARK or NEW HYDE PARK instead. I grew up there and never had an issue. I didn't listen to my gut and tried to give local businesses support but I honestly wouldn't want this experience for another bride. read more

As a local Malverne resident, I always try to support the local merchants. I have tried to support Jay, the new owner, but have been consistently disappointed. Yesterday I ordered a funeral arrangement for $100.00 to be delivered to the Malverne funeral home. EXTREMELY disappointed with the flower selection and quality of the flowers. I think I could have picked up the same vase with better flowers for $30.00 at Cross Island. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Much better florists in the surrounding neighborhoods. read more

I am a florist in New Hampshire and needed a funeral arrangement for a relative on Long Island. The owner was so accommodating and did a creative, beautiful basket for the service. He created a lovely garden basket just liked I asked for. He also went above and beyond and made it as colorful as possible. The variety of flowers was so unique that the funeral director commented on the beauty of the basket. The personal service and kindness certainly deserves a 5 star business review. My daughter ordered flowers for Mother's Day. She ordered them a WEEK ahead of time. Ordering the Deluxe Blossoming Romance. Description Light Pink ROSES, lilies, lavender in Glass rose vase. There were NO Roses. I understand substitution but maybe sizes or color, not just more greenery. Went in asking about a funeral arrangement for my best friends funeral who passed from leukemia this week and he was rude arrogant and pretty dismissive. Nasty and acted as if I was bothering him. When 75% of your business is funeral arrangements, you need to do a much better job. As I walked out annoyed and he cursed me out. I live in Malverne and want to patronize Malverne small businesses. I went in on Friday, 12/22 on my way to the cemetery and wanted to pick up two arrangements to bring with me. I was told they were "too busy" and to come back later. I was not asking them to make anything special. I was happy to take a bouquet or something already make up. They then showed me this mass of greens that for $80! I could come back later and get. No thanks. I'm on my way to the cemetery. I can't come back later. I found that rude. I understand this is a busy time of year, but I was the only one in the shop. It would have taken less than five minutes to help the person standing in front of you. There were at least two people working. I went to Crossroads where they were so kind and helpful. Gave me a 40% discount on two gorgeous pieces all decorated and larger than what I was show at Malverne Florist.... and priced way more reasonable at $40. read more

After a sudden death in the family we needed flowers for the funeral with very last minute arrangements for the same day. Unable to find a florist local to the funeral home in Suffolk County that could fulfill our request for the same day we came here. Staff was extremely helpful and patient in choosing the right flower arrangement within our budget, it was ready in a few hours and the flowers were magnificent, even more beautiful than we had expected. The guy who works at the front counter is always friendly and is great with recommendations. Prices seem like they might be a bit more expensive compared to other florists in the area, but I would rather support a local business than purchase flowers through 1-800-Flowers or another comparable company. Another good thing about Malverne Floral is that it always seems to be open.
