    Bread and butter

We went on a Sunday around 11am. There was a decent line when we got there. By the time we got to the front we got the last plain croissant. We also ordered the bread with butter and ham. The croissant was decent but not great. Very flaky which was good, flavor was not my favorite. The bread was amazing. The flavor was incredible. The butter and jam it's served with is top notch. We loved it so much we bought a loaf to take home. I saw lots of people getting sandwiches. I definitely want to try one of those next time. If you are looking for the pastries the key is to get there early, they come out of the over at 8am. The bread comes out at 10am. The stores itself is super cute. Like a little neighborhood bodega with tons of gourmet grocery items to buy. It's a great addition to the area.

Mama Bread may be the best new bakery and coffee shop in town! I went on a Wednesday morning around 10:30 and they were already halfway sold out of all of their bread and good pastries - I was shocked, as they have signs that state that bread doesn't come out until 10! I got a Morning Bun that tasted of brown sugar and orange zest. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect combination of fluffy and flakey. I also tried a salted caramel iced latte that was divine. The staff was so friendly and gave me great recommendations. I loved that they also had an area with some fresh produce and other food items for sale. The seating area was super cute, and would be perfect for those who want to do a little work at a nearby coffee shop! I also adored the blue exterior of the building, as it is a stunning color!

Wow, that was just delightful. There was a familiarity when I walked in that reminded me of Europe, town & country, and farmers market fresh - all in one! I am a home owner in the neighborhood and visited Mama Bread for the first time. The team taking orders was lovely and I only had time to snag a loaf of bread and a side of potato salad. The potato salad was 10/10, light with fresh herbs. I had to look this place up because it felt too familiar. I couldn't believe it, the owner happens to be the former Director of Tartine in SF. If you haven't been, Tartine is one of the top eatery's in the Bay Area and widely loved by locals. Jennifer Latham is a rockstar and I can't wait to see this place thrive. 5/5 !!! any rating less is silly!! Her quality and technique is world class. I will be back for lunch :)

Disappointed that the pistachio cardamom bun had no flavour of either ingredient; though was a good sweet bun.

Had the croissant. Overbaked. They kindly gave me another one, again overbaked. Nice staff. Good coffee. Not sure I'll return.

Dear Trader Joe's Green Hills,…read more I don't know who's in charge over there, but I'd like them to replace every world leader immediately. The United Nations? Dissolved. Congress? Sent home. The DMV? Bulldozed. Trader Joe's Green Hills is now the governing body of civilization. I've never walked into this place and been greeted by someone who looked like they'd rather be anywhere else. Every employee smiles like they just got engaged, won the lottery, and pet a golden retriever on the way to work. It's suspicious. As a child with OCD, I had approximately 47 family members. Officially it was 14 aunts and uncles and four grandmas, but emotionally it felt like 900 relatives. There were houses where I'd rather eat the upholstery than touch the food. Sometimes it was the smell. Sometimes it was the vibe. Sometimes my brain simply declared, "We're fasting today." Then I came to the US, and discovered Trader Joe's. If one of your employees handed me drywall in a toothpick, i would sample it! This store is cleaner than my conscience after returning my shopping cart. I have genuinely considered quitting my career just to work here. Unfortunately, my therapist intervened. I asked why. She said, "Tarek... you'll be fired within a week." "Why?" "Because you're still a menace to society, and you'll spend half your shift flirting with your coworkers and the other half flirting with customers." Corporate is so dramatic. So instead, I remain a costumer romanticizing what could have been. Whenever people visit NashVegas, everyone says, "Let's go to Broadway." Wrong. We're going to Trader Joe's. You're going to experience affordable flowers, tiny shopping carts, free samples, and enough positive human interaction to make you question whether you've accidentally died. I have left this store happier than I've left actual therapy sessions. The only complaint I have, and this physically pains me to write is: PLEASE bring back the Middle Eastern kibbeh. I'm not saying I'll stand outside holding a candlelight vigil, but I'm also not saying I won't. Trader Joe's Green Hills is the only place where I walk in needing grapefruit juice and leave with seventeen items, inner peace, a houseplant, frozen Indian food, three cheeses I can't pronounce(i speak french mind you) l, and the confidence to forgive my enemies. I love every single one of you. If this store ever closes, I'll simply assume the apocalypse has started and act accordingly.

Crazy to think I have been in this area hundreds of times over the past few years and never…read morerealized this TJ's was here...But, now I know and since I discovered that, I have made my way here on several occasions! Much like any trip to TJ's, I never really have a full list, I kind of let the store tell me what I need beyond the necessities. Speaking of, my necessities are usually focaccia and/or flatbreads, sauces and spreads, cheese and some variety of frozen goods, whether it be veggies or meats. This last trip was no different, as I got all those things plus a few snacks, a bottle of wine and a bit of charcuterie. This location, like all others, is busy, but efficient. A tad smaller with a slightly altered layout of entry/exit and cashiers, but it still works and makes things happen. With that, the parking lot can be a bit dodgy as well, so make sure you are paying attention while scooting through, in or out. Service is good here. Not much interaction on the floor, but the cashiers always bring it home! Overall, love me a good Trader Joe's!
