    Chicken sandwich

I've been to this location a few times. Once on a weekday morning around 7am - good place to have a work meeting if it's early, it wasn't too crowded. I've been on the weekend for lunch - definitely still crowded but still not too bad. Today (Thurs) I stopped in around 10 and picked up an order I placed online. It was packed, the line was out the door. Super grateful for the online order ahead option. I ran in, grabbed my latte and sandwich and left. There's plenty of parking out front and a decent amount of seating right outside the restaurant & inside both upstairs and down. As I said, it stays busy but the service is reasonable - not too fast, not too slow. The ambiance is super cute, clean and just an overall good vibe. The coffee is good - I've only tried the lattes and it's priced about the same as other shops. The food is very good - I've had a few different sandwiches (very good), the kale salad (average), the chocolate chip cookie (amazing). I would say the food is priced on the expensive side. The sandwich I got today was $22. They have a fridge of items you can grab right when you walk in - this ideally could be fast except you may have to wait in the long line. The thing I do appreciate from the fridge is that they sell a tub of cookie dough. I bought this to make a cookie skillet at home for a birthday which was fantastic.

When you hit the upstairs of the cafe, it feels like you've slipped into a quiet corner cafe somewhere in France. Perren keeps getting the details right. The quality of their pastries and drinks are consistently good and the space itself has such a calm, elevated ambiance that makes you want to slow down and stay for a while. My go to order is the herbs de Provence latte- the syrup is beautifully balanced with floral and slightly savory notes or the matcha cloud drink. The breakfast sandwich on a croissant and with caramelized onions is the perfect breakfast/brunch item. There is a distinctly European vibe here that I really appreciate, especially for Nashville.

My new favorite bakery in Nashville! Perennial Bakery is wonderful. I love that they have a beautiful selection of freshly baked sweet and savory goods. And everything is reasonably priced. I ordered the bacon and cheese stuffed baguette, because I always lean savory. The delightful staff offered to warm it for me, letting me know it was much better warmed. So, of course I said yes! Well, my baguette was perfectly warmed in the oven. My baguette never came close to a microwave, and it came out perfect! The bread was warm and the cheese was bubbly. It was delicious and filling. The bakery itself is beautiful and clean, with windows to the kitchen and a large seating area upstairs. When you walk into the bakery, there is a case of fresh food on your left with a case of frozen food next to it. Toasts and pastries are in the glass case, and the breads and baguettes are directly behind the case. If you enjoy savory treats, I strongly suggest you ask what the "Stuffed Baguette of the Day" is. Then, order it and ask them to warm it for you. Yum! Their espresso machine is impressive. Next time I'll try a Cortado.

A friend recommended Perenn to me yesterday with such high praise I wasted no time heading that way to try it out. I loved walking in to be greeted by a team of bakers busily rolling and cutting dough. All the European feels came upon me!!! I purchased the Frozen cinnamon rolls to go, as my friend said there are none better, anywhere. I will be bringing them as a Christmas Eve hostess gift to my brother's house, so he can leave them out overnight and bake them fresh on Christmas Day. I also had one of their two salads of the day and I literally rejoiced!!! Amazing. A pearled couscous like base with chopped pecans, lemon peel, cranberries, red onion, salad greens and butternut squash. The flavors combined so perfectly that I smiled at my first bite! I love the authenticity of this darling bakery. And I love their clear passion for fresh real food!

I was so excited to try Perenn Bakery after seeing so many cute posts online and was ready for some European-luxury vibes. Our experience was good overall, but I left feeling a bit underwhelmed. The pastries were delicious, though in my opinion, slightly overpriced. A tip: take a moment to browse the menu before hopping in line, because the cashiers tend to move people through quickly. For me, the standout was the iced mocha--so good! The interior is cozy and definitely a vibe, perfect for studying or catching up with a friend. I loved that there's plenty of seating, including an upstairs area.

The baked goods were excellent. Everything made from their puff pastry was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and airy in the inside. Just the way it should be! Their coffee is also very very good. We didn't have lunch there, but the food coming out looked so good and well presented. Waitstaff was also very good. The ambiance was vibrant and the deco was farmhouse comfy. Highly recommend

Croissant cinnamon roll, Creme brulee kough amann, and chocolate croissant

New bakery in the Berry hill area with a lot of customers lined up to get European themed foods/drinks. We had a collection of pastries all of which were fantastic. The Kough amann was one of the largest and heaviest pastries I've had as it was stuffed with creme brulee cream. Definitely similar tasting to the Italian/Spanish croissants we've had in Europe. Cappuccino also was great. Everything is pricy so just be ready to open up your wallet. Service was good and the interior was really nicely laid out. We will be back to try more soon!

Came in for breakfast Friday morning. The croissants are buttery and flaky. Topping options for the sandwich are a wide variety. I also got a dirty chai latte which was good. They have additional seating upstairs for larger groups

I stopped by to grab some coffee and was so taken by the sweet treats on offer I decided to indulge my sweet tooth. The space is so nicely designed open yet also cozy. I had the Vietnamese coffee which was strong and balanced, I decided to have the mochi coffee cake which was quite and very different with its unique chewy texture.

This is such an elegant bakery. You get rich classy vibes in side. Super clean and welcoming. The staff was able to help me pick out must try's and how I wanted my coffee made. I have heard the Franklin location is the better one to go to but glad there is a Nashville option now. Parking was absolutely brutal middle of the day. But this has got to be on your list when you're in the area.

They have a parking lot with free parking on the side of the building. It's a huge bonus that it's quick and easy to park. The shop has several cases that are always packed with a variety of treats. They have whole cakes, cake slices, decorated cookies, sweet scones, savory scones, rice krispy bars, seven layer bars, lemon bars, muffins, several types of cookies, and more. Even when I have arrived in the middle of the day the cases have been full and still have a great variety. I have loved everything I have tried here. My favorites are the rice krispy treats (especially the fruity one), the dolly bar, the almond cookie, and scones. The cake slices are delicious, but very rich. We split this into two or three pieces. They also have a shop next door that has a lot of cute party and gift items. If you have a sweet tooth then you need to check out Baked on 8th.

The fondant version is what we got complete with mis-spelling and child like painted on details. After notifying Kelly that we were not happy with the presentation she proceeded to text a bunch of photos of cakes she's done that turned out great, incessantly defending her sub-par work. She blamed the extreme heat for inability to complete as ordered, they tried putting it in the freezer to keep it cold but just too hot out. She said she would have directed us differently as far as type of cake decor if she had known the weather would be so hot- we ordered this cake far in advance and the the heat wave was anticipated days before we arrived. It really just seems like the type of detail we wanted was not something this bakery is capable of doing. We had the cake delivered to the house before we got there which was super convenient. Only got concerned with this after Kelly told us to make sure to lock our doors at night since we were in a "bad" neighborhood. Since the bakery had the code to our doors and she was texting this late at night, this comment was received as threatening and we became concerned for our safety. The customer service and service recovery is something this bakery really needs to work on, we will NEVER be working with them again. Only positives... She did acknowledge that the order looked very rushed and gave us 10% refund. The cake tasted great, but just not worth the money in my opinion.

They had a solid selection of pastries available, though no cookies that morning (I've had them here before, so I was a little disappointed to miss those). The staff member immediately recommended the cinnamon roll, so I went with that. I took it home and warmed it up before sharing it with my family, and that definitely made a difference, it was excellent warm. I don't think it would've had the same impact eaten cold. Service was quick, in-and-out in just a few minutes. I didn't notice much in terms of seating, so it seems more grab-and-go than a place to linger. Overall, simple visit but a very strong cinnamon roll recommendation.

I nearly missed it as it appears to be one of several business in an old church! What a great use of space, but def will need some getting used to. The inside was bright and chearful, fitting of the name. The staff was also kind, although my interaction was brief. I got myself an almond croissant and then took to my friends 2 churro croissants and 2 plain ones. I ate the almond one in the car... it was okay, but the filling seemed more like a cream/custardy filling vs the traditional milled almond filling. Wasn't bad, just wasn't what I wanted. My friends and I loved the plain and churro croissants. The size is great and they were perfectly fluffy. I even had one left over the following morning and just heated it for a few secs in the microwave (don't judge) and it was still so good. I def want to try a few more of their sweet treats.
