I ordered from mama Lisa. Chicken parm dinner with a salad instead of pasta. Not only was the chicken delicious, but they gave me a full salad instead of a side salad like most itialian restaurants do and did not charge me extra. Update: Came back to retry it again, Alfredo got better but still wasn't the same as how it used to be. Everything else I ordered was good. Their Marinara sauce though, it is the definition of Plain!!!! It's a shame because the sauce comes on the side with mozzarella sticks, fried raviolis and the sauce for the chicken parm. If the Chef reads this, please change it, it would make everything so much better. Even if you taste it you would know what I'm talking about. Ragu Sauce is probably even better. they charge $6.00 for using a credit card. later when confronted the guy said there's a sign at the register...like we're going to see that as we're being seated! next, the food stinks. Amazing! My husband and I were looking at houses all day so when we saw our last he said let's try somewhere new which is how we came across Mama Lisa's and I'm glad we did! We got there at like 4:50ish and we sat right away everyone was very friendly! We ordered the zucchini flower it was better than I thought it would be for dinner I had chicken parmigiana probably one of the best I've ever had it melted in my mouth. My husband had the swordfish special lets just say he cleaned his plate! We will definitely be visiting again. If you are in the area this is a must!! This seems to be the most popular place in the area so I doubt my criticism will make a dent, which is good because I support small business owners -- plus I can only judge by the 3 slices I've ever had there (pepperoni, mushroom, eggplant). All the other food might be fantastic. The ingredients seems quality enough, and I appreciate the heaviness of each slice -- but really some of the worst $30+ (for a pie) I've spent and 1,000 calories (2 slices) I've gained. LOL. Just left me feeling heavy and unsatisfied. Oh well. read more

Ordered a half pepperoni pie for delivery. With tip it was $25. Unfortunately we could only eat about 1/3 of our $25 pizza. Apparently sometime between being boxed and delivered, the pizza was tossed around like a frisbee. All of the cheese and pepperoni had slid off making half the pie intolerably soggy and greasy and the rest of it lacking cheese and pepperoni. The slices that weren't ruined were sub par. Typical, average oily pizza with ragu-esque sauce, undercooked cheese and an overcooked, burnt bottom crust. Called up to see if management could comp our next pie at least. They offered 20% off the next order. Considering over 50% of the pizza was ruined... that wasn't a great remedy. read more

To make a long story short, there's nothing here I don't like. From the fresh food, to the really accommodating staff. I live in the area, & eat here quite often. It doesn't even matter if I do delivery, or come in at eat. If I do come in, and enjoy my food at the actual establishment, I 100% do what I can to sit at the little bar, with Joe. My friends & I come here for quick beer & apps or a slice of pizza, and we all look for Joe! Fantastic service, personable, and ensures you'll have all the right things to make your meal enjoyable. I really wanted to like this place, even after we walked in and saw the very sad looking pizza. The waiter sat us promptly, which was nice and came over and recommended a few dishes. He said that the carbonara and the fettuccine Alfredo were the go twos here and they were staples. I can attest that they were anything but that. The Caesar salad was very good. However, everything fell apart from there after. The carbonara pasta could not have been more overcooked. The sauce was OK but very very liquidy. The fettuccine Alfredo was in edible. There was no cheese or salt or pepper or garlic, it was just cream. Also it took almost an hour to get the food. The waiter was friendly but it seems like the kitchen needs to figure out how to operate correctly. Not a good experience whatsoever.
