How could this have happened? I have lived in northeast Ohio almost my entire life, and I have never been to Mama Maria Salo's kitchen. What a shame I have been missing out on some of the best blintzes and borscht I have ever had. I'm leaving this review reluctantly only because I fear, if the rest of Northeast Ohio finds out about this wonderful restaurant, I will never ever be able to find a seat or worse, a blitz to eat! read more

Mama Maria's is very cozy, and a great place to stop if you're in Parma. The restaurant is very homely, and the service is fast and familiar. The food is great, it could have been a bit warmer but other than that, this is a wonderful place to eat. read more

Authentic and delicious. Our first visit and we loved every item that we had. The Perogies are some of the best we ever tasted.

I'm very thankful for the reviews on here as it got me to try this place. What a wonderful find and so much better than eating at a chain restaurant or fast food place. It is not a big place but you are made to feel welcomed and appreciated. Food is fantastic and inexpensive. I had to try the potato pancakes and the cabbage rolls. One of each plus a can of pop was only $8. Right next door is a deli meat location and it looked like Mama Maria's makes the carry out food for them. EXCELLENT Ukrainian cuisine! The place is small, but quite cozy. My girlfriend and I ended up sitting at the "Employee's Only" table, but our waitress did not complain or dissuade us from sitting there. Our wonderful waitress was Oksana, and she was efficient, professional, and courteous. This place is truly a hidden gem. Very small and does not look like much on the outside but inside you are greeted by incredibly friendly staff and delicious food. They have a restaurant where you can sit down and eat or get take out. Next door they also have a spot where you can order more things to go and it is more of a deli. Every single item on the menu is delicious. It is a tiny, cozy intimate space that just exudes friendliness and welcome. The staff is fantastic and service is extremely fast and efficient. A special shout-out to the potato pancakes is in order. We always get a few extra to-go--our six-year-old (a typically picky eater) inhales them. read more

Excellent authentic Eastern European food. I had the pork schnitzel, potato pierogi and German potato salad. We dined-in but most people get take out it was delicious! They take credit card. Hard to find. No big signage, but it is right next door to State Meats. Two thumbs up! read more

Only giving 2 stars because the food is good. BUT..my husband went in to grab me some food (not feeling great so I was going to eat it in the car). Well, he comes back to the car with my food and it's all literally cold! He even asked them for plasticware..I'd think that would maybe give a hint someone is eating it before going home. My husband stated they seemed to be in a rush to go home. They close at 6p. He ordered at 5:15p. Tried to call the business at 5:35p and no answer. Needless to say, I will not be returning! For the price of things nowadays, I atleast expect my food hot! read more
