Suzanne was our server tonight. Very knowledgeable about menu and specials. We decided on tonight's special which was Chicken Tetrazzini. There's made with fettuccine topped with a cream sauce made with honey Dijon and wine. It came with either a grilled or breaded chicken, and we both chose the grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was cooked to perfection in season perfectly. Tender chicken breast meat, which was moist. The cream size was made to perfection and very tasty. You could actually taste the honey Dijon and wine in the cream sauce. Nice and thick and tasty. We also decided to try a bowl of their homemade chili. Mama T's does not hold back on the meat! There was plenty of ground beef in their chili with lots of beans and a sauce was thick and not runny like many places make it. It was seasoned spicy, but not over spiced. For me it was perfect. We also had the breaded mushrooms as an appetizer, and I will tell you that their breaded mushrooms are nice size and moist with a nice breaded coating over them deep-fried to perfection. I have these breaded mushrooms every time I eat there. Our waitress Suzanne recommended the specials to us and we are glad that she did. They are very good waitresses at Mama T's. Prices for the meals is comparable to going to places like Olive Garden and other Italian restaurants. Portion size are more than adequate and you'll definitely not leave hungry. Four of us were at Geneva National playing golf over the weekend and didn't want to deal with the craziness of Lake Geneva so we tried this place based on the reviews. We were thrilled with the service and the food! We started with drinks and cheesy bread and ordered lasagna, chicken cacciatore, and pasta arrabbiata and all of it was very good. If we are back in the area again, this place would be on our list of places to eat and try many of the other items on the menu. read more

We read about this restaurant in our local paper. We have visited Elkhorn once a week for the last 7 years and had no knowledge of this restaurant. It's in a strip mall and not a location that is really that visible from the road. The restaurant received such a good review we decided to stop in. Small intimate Italian restaurant, 52 seats. We were seated within minutes. We ordered a Chicago style deep dish. Excellent We took 1/2 a 12 inch pizza home. Prices were very reasonable, excellent friendly service. Their pizza is delicious, and all the entrees that we have had have been more than ample. Most people I see are taking leftovers home because of the large portions. My wife and I live in town and have eaten here a few times for dinner and I've had lunch here by myself twice. Great food and very reasonable prices. My wife is a vegetarian and there are plenty of selections to satisfy her. She had a very good salad entree one evening and a pasta dish the second visit. I had chicken parm our first visit and they did a good job accommodating my request of sauce on the side as I have acid reflux so I use very little sauce. I had a pasta with vodka sauce the second visit and it was excellent. This is an excellent choice for lunch. My first solo visit I ordered off the special lunch menu - $7.49 for all entrees. I had the Chicken Caesar Salad and it was outstanding - a nice char-broiled chicken breast on top of a generous size salad and excellent dressing with shredded Parma. On my second visit today I asked if the Italian Beef was lean and she said it was excellent. I'm a bit picky as I prefer my beef on the "dry" side and she said no problem. It was as good a beef sandwich as I've had in my life - and I'm 67. It came with excellent fries and peppers - a photo of the nice sized masterpiece is attached. I ordered 3 items for take out. The baked mostaccioli was very good. The pizza and beef sandwich were burnt. I left a comment on FB saying that. I got a response that was a little rude. They went on to tell me it wasn't burnt but that it was cooked on a stone. I owned a business for over 50 years so I know how to deal with an unhappy customer. Telling me it wasn't burnt when it was blackened is not the right way to keep customers. They should have apologized and said, let us try again and offered a free pizza. I would have declined because I wasn't looking for anything free. But it would have also looked good to others reading their page. Overall great food 95% of the time. Server was a little slow today, but she's clearly new. Two major complaints, my chicken Paninis lacked chicken. It also lacked sauce. And if you are gonna charge for sides/sauces I should get a good amount. I shouldn't have to ask 3 times for more dressing because the cup was barely full. This is our favorite restaurant! Everything is so delicious! They have a wide variety of Italian food. Their staples like Chicken Parm, Alfredo, Meat sauce, and their pink pomadoro sauces are all amazing! The calzones are huge and enough for 2 meals. We also love their pizzas the crust is prefect, not too thick or too thin! Seriously everything is so good! The soups are all homemade and change every week. If you are a cheese fan, this place is for you! They are not shy with the !!! The reason I didn't give it that last star is because its very small. We came here for the great reviews, and gosh it was worth it! I didn't expect much since it was local, but this place was amazing! got the lasagna and chicken florentine. The Chicken florentine we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND while the lasagna was pretty good, but the other was better. We tried the tiramisu for the dessert, it was delicious!
