Every time I go in the staff is amazing! They remember me, they are welcoming, and truly will do anything to help make your experience better. It can get very busy in the mornings, especially on Sundays, so sometimes they have a wait, but most of the time I have been able to be seated right aways. It is a smaller place. The first dinning room when you walk in can get cramped when they are full and then you walk through a little area and the second dinning room is there. That area is a little smaller and can also get cramped when super full, BUT with that said it is still 1000% worth going. My favorite thing to eat there is the Philly Beef. It is always so good! This place does not look like much from the outside and the offerings are about the most unimaginative that we have ever seen on a menu. But the service was excellent and the food was very good. I would give a zero if I could. I was sitting at a table and noticed gnats flying all around. It seemed worse when my food came out. I finally got the attention of my waitress who then informed me they had a fly catcher behind my seat. It was absolutely disgusting and I have no idea why they would have had me sit there. They offered to move me, but it was too late. There were gnats all over my food. It was absolutely disgusting and they did not offer to not charge me for the food I couldn't eat. Old school breakfast place with outstanding food and service. We had the French toast special with banana's and strawberry's as well as a meat lovers skillet. Both were very good. The only thing going for this place are the prices. I will say, the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was mediocre at best. Rubbery pancakes and eggs, and flavorless sausage gravy for the biscuits. This would have been easier to overlook if it wasn't for the army of flies buzzing around our table. Chef boyfriend and i decided to go to a local place for a quick sit down to bite for breakfast and we definitely went to the right spot. We were quickly greeted by the wonderful Gia who provided great service the whole time. The food was made perfectly as we requested. It wasn't too greasy at all and we felt great about the price that we paid. We made sure to let the cook know how much we appreciate the "simple food" cooked wonderfully because we know they are not acknowledged enough. We came up to WI to adopt a cat or two, and we stopped by this hole in the wall Greasy Spoon restaurant, and the food was amazing. Really good, really crowded family diner. Super friendly although when we walked in with masks on my wife felt like we got the stink eye. There is apparently no masking I. The Lake Geneva area because they think Covid is over I guess ((9.4.21). Tables are close and place got picked by 9:30 on Saturday. Clearly a lot of local folks. Very good traditional breakfasts. (Breakfast only) Today I had the country breakfast skillet. 10 all the way. Not low calorie, but I indulged. The skillet, which was cooked perfectly crispy on the bottom ; fully cooked veggies and topped with sausage gravy. Yum. Pancakes and Swedish pancakes are super good. This is my favorite breakfast place in town! The food is good, it's fast and it's inexpensive. The waitresses here are really nice and everyone is friendly. It's small but actually bigger than it looks as there's a back dining room. Despite the size, I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a table.
