Food was good. Service was good. But the customer directly behind me this morning started loudly snort blowing his nose every few seconds. Then he started coughing and sneezing continuously. I didn't look back to see if he covered his mouth but it didn't sound like it and I definitely felt his cough and sneeze on the back of my neck a couple of times. meaning it probably went in to my food. that's when my wife and I pushed our unfinished plates aside. I love everything there is about Mama's. It is basic surroundings with soul satisfying food. We stopped in for lunch and it was pretty packed so something had to be right with our choice. The Wife ordered breakfast while I had the special, meatloaf! I can't pass up meatloaf. This one was tender and flavorful with mashed potatoes and a red gravy of some kind. First time at Mama's Kitchen. The place was clean, service was quick, efficient and servers were very pleasant!! And the place was busy. I got the chorizo and 2 egg scramble with refried beans and corn tortillas. Substituted the hash brown for the "Kountry" fried potatoes - I'm GF. Asked for their Ranchero sauce on the side. It was really delicious!! Homemade ranchero sauce. My husband got the chicken fried steak with 2 eggs over easy. Food was cooked perfectly and hot when it got to the table. He substitute fruit for toast and got a fresh assortment of strawberries, pineapple, orange, melon & cantaloupe. We will be back!! read more

Wowhmm how much creativity does it take to dump some frozen white potatoes from a sack into a deep fat fryer? They were crisp but lifeless and tasteless. The biscuit must have been sleeping in the microwave as it was tough and quite grumpy. Chicken fried steak or the strange gravy had an odd twang - not like a good country twang but like no one had ordered this dish from sometime twangggg. Coffee ...... gee, very bland. French toast was made with Giant Texas White Bread - ugh. Sadly another Green Valley low quality place to eat - well not for me. read more

I normally try to visit a place 3 times before writing a review but I just had to make an exception for this horrid little joint... mostly because I wish to save everyone from this disaster and I never plan on returning if I can help it. Save yourself the $24 bill for the most awful morning meal you will ever choke down. Came here for breakfast. I ordered the #2. I wanted to have country fried steak but when I asked whether it was fresh or frozen, I was told it was frozen. It became apparent that the only things freshly cooked were the eggs and those needed alot of help. My meal showed up and the potatoes were bad. They were supposed to be a country style vegetable with green pepper and onion but because they were frozen, the green pepper and onion were pitiful, the potatoes themselves were barely edible. Who screws up breakfast? Things gotta be pretty bad if you can't manage to make a homemade breakfast. I implore the masses of Green Valley, do us all a service and do not eat here. We really need to send a message to slobs who think they can open a restaurant and serve frozen food barely heated. Do we really need this as part of our restaurant selection? The answer is an emphatic "NO!" Let me end by saying... who's mama is cooking in this kitchen? Not mine. Maybe this mama is culinarily challenged. Stopped at this quaint little place on the way home from camping at Patagonia Lake. First of all - there was PLENTY of parking in the large shopping center so we could easily park our camper without inconveniencing others. It's a small restaurant seemingly well loved by the locals. We were there around 10ish and it was packed. Nobody really greeted us or anything like that which was strange. A kid cleaned off a couple of tables and more or less looked at us like "aren't you going to sit at my freshly cleaned table?" I ordered one of their specials - the pulled pork breakfast skillet - it was fantastic! Potatoes were nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The eggs were perfectly "over medium". The pulled pork was expertly cooked, moist and flavorful. It wasn't on the menu, but they made a small breakfast burrito for our 5 year old that she absolutely LOVED!!! My husband got the Chorizo & Eggs which he said was "OK". Service was friendly, albeit a little slow. There are no on-site bathrooms, but bathrooms are available a short walk away. Meh. Went for breakfast on a Sunday with the after church gang. Hadn't eaten here in years.... now remember why. 2 of us ordered pancakes with sides, 1 eggs benedict, and 1 a full breakfast. "Fried" apples, just out of the can with gloppy cornstarch sauce. Sausage and potatoes frozen from a bag. We had to ask for silverware more than once. And syrup... and the sides. Was in town for a few and decided to search out a spot to try. I landed on this little mom and pop place. Its a small hole in the wall place with that family owned feel. The place was full of the "just out of church" crowd. We sat ourselves and started to look over the menu. It is ur basic diner fair of eggs and bacon, burgers and chicken strips. I got the "Gringo skillet", which was potatos, sausage, ham, with eggs any style on top. To be honest it was kind plain, some bacon or chorizo would have made it a lot better! My girl got the basic breakfast, eggs bacon and some French toast. She said it was Good, but not worth remembering. The price they chatge, for the portion was a little steep. It came to 17.91 for two of us, and my girl was still a little hungry. I was full just cause it had a lot of potatoes, but that's it. All in all if ur in a pinch, its not bad, just a little pricey. A surprise in Webster. The restaurant/diner at 596 South MainStreet has changed hands and is incredibly good. Our usual local restaurant was unexpectedly closed so we decided to try the new Mama's Kitchen. We were not expecting a good meal, but we got food worthy of Providence or Boston at their best. On Tuesday I tried the lamb chops and we were so happy, two days later, we had the charcoal grilled kebobs with dipping sauce and fresh grilled vegetables. Thank you Mama for relocating to Webster. Tried this place yesterday while on vacation visiting family, and I'm so happy I did! I love finding small local joints like this when I visit places, and they did not disappoint: sweet and attentive waitresses, very reasonable prices, and delicious food in perfectly filling portions! The fresh salsa had plenty of cilantro, the chorizo was a great balance of spice and flavor, and everything was cooked perfectly. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars was the breakfast potatoes were underwhelming, but I will go back here without hesitation every time I come back to AZ! read more

Mamas kitchen is a good place for decent breakfast with quick service. I swear by the eggs Benedict which have yet to disappoint me in probably a dozen visits in the past year. Booths are far from comfy..... Guess management doesn't want to encourage lingerers. Other disappointment is the restrooms are NOT in the restaurant, but about 5 doors away in public hallway with two one-holers!
